Zetterberg is God 0 Report post Posted September 19, 2005 Patricia Arquette? I thought that Glenn Close would win Best Actress for sure. Anyway, complete crock that Boston Legal stole the two dramatic actor prizes again, but at least Lost picked up best drama.

The Czech Republic 0 Report post Posted September 19, 2005 another year where Conan is jobbed. Oh but the Daily Show is "about more than comedy" "It tackles the issuezzzz!!!" Conan just does that comedy stuff LAME <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I used to like the Daily Show before it became (bush soundbite) (Jon Stewart looks exasperated) "mmm...not so much." over and over and over Oh and Everybody Loves Raymond is fucking terrible. It's like when U2 is the Best Band In The World...well, I guess there's nobody else. Disgustingly bland. All in the Family and M*A*S*H and Seinfeld were all signposts for situation comedy. This show feels like drinking a mashed potato milkshake.

An original model or type after which other similar things are patterned; a prototype: “‘Frankenstein’ . . . ‘Dracula’ . . .. . . the archetypes that have influenced all subsequent horror stories” (New York Times). AD= Arrested Development

And what's AD stand for? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Archetype: An original model or type after which other similar things are patterned. AD: "Arrested Develpment", a Fox sitcom with a pretty vocal cult following. AD is probably best categorized as a prototype from which future shows will model themselves after. "Everybody Loves Raymond" is basically a more mature version of "Home Improvement", which itself was a rip-off of "the Cosby Show"; while "Will and Grace" is basically a homosexual version of "Friends," which itself was a Generation X rip-off of "Seinfeld." I don't even watch many sitcoms, it just seems like (from the commercials) that they're all "Some stupid doughy guy with a moderately attractive wife and a wacky family." And I know what archetype means (just didn't know how to spell it), I was just hoping people would write me off as someone who doesn't know what they're talking about and move on. So, she lost her list of people to thank down her dress. That's pretty hilarious.
Guest El Satanico Report post Posted September 19, 2005 I was just clarifying AD is probably best categorized as a prototype from which future shows will model themselves after.<{POST_SNAPBACK}> No it won't. I love the show, but as you said it has a cult following. It's not popular enough for future shows to "rip off". That could change with the "rebirth" Fox is giving it, but we'll see tomorrow night. Ted the Poster 0 Report post Posted September 19, 2005 Monk is a wonderful show, and Shaloub is great at what he does. Fuck the haters. I was happy that Huffman won. She has always been the most overlooked woman on that show. Arquette's win pissed me off. Hartigay should've gotten it. AD and especially Scrubs deserved more recognition. John McGinley has deserved a nomination for a long time. ^^Hot.
