Even though it'll never happen (since Smackdown is considered the B-show--rightfully so, I might add), I'd like to see Edge go to Smackdown!. He could easily be the number one heel there. He's certainly not going to get that position with Triple H being on Raw. They really fucked up the Money in the Bank situation. Their mistake was stating--on television--that it was only for the WORLD title. That's just sloppy writing.

That's a pretty big continuity error on WWE's part. How does the shot go from the World title to the WWE title? I distinctly remember Edge freaking out during the draft lottery, thinking that he'd lose his shot. Grisham even confirmed that it was ONLY for the World title.

Question: In the OAO Raw thread, someone (forget who) mentioned three predictions for Vince's announcement, the 3rd prediction being Matt going to SD!, and said all 3 announcements would suck because they're already "well known".

 

Where did the Matt news come from? It wasn't in the Observer but as I watched Raw, there it was, the announcement of a match that will almost certainly send Matt to SmackDown.

Indeed. If Edge moves, I can easily see him becoming a top heel on Smackdown. Hardy would get the rub of "finally defeating Edge" when it mattered, and we can see if he can keep some of that momentum going forwards...

 

However, Hardy losing yet again and moving to Smackdown would likely put a big damper on the heat he currently has.

I don't think they draw a difference between the World title and the WWE title - to the average fan, they're just the "main" title on each respective show and are easily interchangeable. That's all the explanation you're likely to get.

Well, it's the contract in the briefcase, right? Not the actual briefcase that gets the shot. What if Hardy snatches the briefcase, opens it up to celebrate, and it is empty, or has some thing insulting in there. It works because if he wins, he still has it, no one knows. If he loses, no one can punish him, he's off the show. Edge runs off cackling into a Smackdown limo or something as the show ends. In the future they can give Hardy a sympathy title shot, or start anti-WWE Matt again by saying "well, tough luck... again". It's longshot, but definately something different. I also think Edge would probably fit better on Smackdown, but I have a hard time seeing him leave RAW.

Bryan Alvarez of Figure Four Weekly has been hinting that Matt is going to be working a program with HHH of all people.

 

WWE logic says Edge goes over but real logic says Matt goes over and send Edge to be top heel on Smackdown.

 

Only problem is does anybody buy Matt Hardy in a WWE title program. It would either be Matt Hardy vs Kurt Angle or Matt Hardy vs HHH.

 

Really, all of this is based around what happens with HHH. Is he working with Flair right away or Cena(or Hardy)? Once that question is answered, that will clear things up.\

I remember Edge's comment to Triple H. They were both faces, in early 2002, I believe. Trips just won the title from Jericho. Edge complained that the only reason Triple H had the title was he had to sleep with the bosses daughter. No real big-time match came about.
