strummer 0 Report post Posted September 26, 2005 Did I say that already or what? Just horrific. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> if the D line doesn't get pressure, they have no chance, AT ALL

mike546 0 Report post Posted September 26, 2005 I've never seen such a terrible D in my life. They've scored a TD on all but two posessions.

mike546 0 Report post Posted September 26, 2005 I feel terrible for Eli Manning. His breakout performance is the night the Giants D shows show truley pathetic it is.

alfdogg 0 Report post Posted September 26, 2005 the Colts had to kick 2 FGs in the red zone and also just knelt down instead of scoring at the end. It could have been more like 28-6. Well, heaven forbid had we scored right there, we'd just have to endure more bitching about us running up the score, like last year. Personally, I prefer people just questioning our offense. UseTheSledgehammerUh 0 Report post Posted September 26, 2005 Eagles Thoughts: Trotter was the man. 10 unassisted tackles = $ T.O. did well. Hold on to the damn ball, LJ. I never liked you. I REMEMBER Tampa Bay. Donovan guts it out. Pretty great 2nd half. HORRIBLE plays by Michael Lewis. HORRIBLE decision to let Akers go on emotion and try to play. Bring in the French man for a for weeks. When fatass useless Sapp gets a pick, SIGH. All in all, a dramatic week. Shouldn't have been that dramatic, though. Reid should've signed French to play this week. Lewis should've woke the F up during 4th quarter. But a win is a win. KC is gonna be tough, methinks.
Ripper 0 Report post Posted September 26, 2005 Well...the Falcons win again, but goddamn. With losing another corner and Deangelo Hall having a bad shoulder, the Falcons had to play two guys that weren't even in the league 2 weeks ago at their corner backs against one of the best recieving corps in the league and they did a horrible fucking job. Luckily Losman was getting destroyed by the Atlanta D line so that made up for it, but next week in Minnesota....things could get ugly. 2 Starting Corners and their 2 backups all hurt....sigh... damn. Mik 0 Report post Posted September 26, 2005 Even though the Giants lost the game last night... to me, it was a great game as a Giants fan. Eli Manning proved, to me at least, that he is the real deal. He has already shown more progress than Carson Palmer, Joey Harrington, and many other top QB draft picks. He looked incredible last night. The two problems: 1) The Giants inability to convert red zone opportunities into TDs (worst of all, the opening drive - they looked unstoppable and then all of a sudden they are kicking a 22 yd field goal 2) Turnovers - David Tyree's (or was it the other receiver?) fumble when the Giants were driving for a sure TD in the middle of the 4th quarter didn't help matters. I'm thrilled though - Eli's gonna be no less than an above average quarterback. He might even end up outstanding.
2GOLD 0 Report post Posted September 26, 2005 so how long until Buffalo realizes the JP Losman experiment is going about as well as the Rob Johnson experiment? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Guy deserves at least a year or two. Then they can call him Rob Johnson V2.
USC Wuz Robbed! 0 Report post Posted September 26, 2005 Giants fans, don't worry about last night's game. San Diego was clearly overachieving to revenge on Eli Manning. Had it been any other team the score would have been a lot closer.
Ripper 0 Report post Posted September 26, 2005 That and they gave LT the goddamn ball. The sad thing is, I think that its only happening to quiet the critisizm for awhile until they they go back to pretending they don't have one of the top running backs...no...top offensive talents in the league in the back field and giving up wins. Ripper 0 Report post Posted September 26, 2005 First of all, yeah...better than Carson Palmer? Dude... and second, Takeo Spikes tore his achilles so he is out the rest of the year for Buffalo. That is a HUGE hit to the Bills defense.
USC Wuz Robbed! 0 Report post Posted September 26, 2005 And lumping Palmer with HARRINGTON isn't the best way to go about the discussion. Just stick to Miguel Cabrera jerkoff-a-thons. (I'm just kidding about the last part.)

Ripper 0 Report post Posted September 26, 2005 After watching the Falcons pile up the line on McGahee yesterday and he still got like 130, why the fuck don't they just keep giving him the ball? I guarentee they would have more scores than that.
USC Wuz Robbed! 0 Report post Posted September 26, 2005 They think JP Losman is the next Steve Young when he is really the next Steve Deberg.
USC Wuz Robbed! 0 Report post Posted September 26, 2005 Also I'd like to mention how silly the San Diego fans are for hating on Eli Manning. Back when Peyton came out, he didn't seem to mind the possibility of being drafted to San Diego, so it wasn't a case of Mannings vs SD. Eli didn't think the San Diego system was right for him. SD already had an ok QB in Drew Brees and then they got Philip Rivers and yet they're still whining about Eli. That really sends a signal to Brees and Rivers, "Yeah you two are nice, but we wanted ELI!". Also it's funny that they're like "YEAH TAKE THAT!" in regards to last night's game when Eli already said he didn't regret the decision. So to him it was just another loss. He had a career game, so he still reaps the benefit from the game. San Diego=jilted ex-lover that will hold a grudge for the stupidest reason.
Ripper 0 Report post Posted September 26, 2005 Not really. You tell a city that if they draft you, you aren't playing for them it is seen as a shot at your team or your city. of course they are going to try and stick it to him if they have the chance. he basically told them that their city sucks and he won't play there, even if he was obligated to. USC Wuz Robbed! 0 Report post Posted September 26, 2005 Dude, I live in San Diego. I frisked the people who came in the stadium last night. I think I have a better perspective than you. And besides I had to listen to a lot of people complain about it in the way like they wanted him as a Charger.

He is carrying the load like a warrior so far with teams defending the deep pass. And I don't think Rhodes or Carthon or Mungro could even get 1/5 of Edge's production in a pinch. Dangerous A 0 Report post Posted September 26, 2005 Chad Johnson is now the most entertaining WR in all of football. Carson Palmer is the real deal. And this is coming from a Redskins fan. Glad to see a club like the Bengals finally getting good. I'm also a Marvin Lewis mark. Bills losing Takeo Spikes for the year is huge. While the Pats won, if Rodney Harrison is down for the year, the Pats will be in bigger trouble than they think. Although I hate them, great meddle by the Cowboys coming back on the Niners like that after the devastating loss last Monday. (although it is the Niners, not THAT big of a feat Raiders have talent to beat anyone any given week, but I believe because a lot of the pieces are new, they haven't learned how to win together yet. Cadillac Williams is a freakin man. Nuff said. Back of the future.
Ripper 0 Report post Posted September 26, 2005 Seroiusly though, the Raiders have played both Superbowl teams and a very good team in a game they should have won. They will be alright.
