Downhome 0 Report post Posted October 13, 2005 http://www.tvshowsondvd.com/newsitem.cfm?NewsID=4294 I was going to copy and paste all of the information, but it doesn't look like I can do that. Just check out the link, and notice the boatload of extras. It'll also be available in the normal case. I'll be picking up the Marge head though, so sue me. I think these new sets are pretty cool. MarvinisaLunatic 0 Report post Posted October 14, 2005 I'll stick with the old style packaging. Its nice to see they aren't going to force people who want the superior packaging to pay 3 more bucks for it. Its also nice to see them cranking out the seasons a bit faster. Maybe they can get 3 seasons out next year if they keep with the every 4 months pace.
USC Wuz Robbed! 0 Report post Posted October 14, 2005 Fuck...my wallet can't keep up with this pace.

Youth N Asia 0 Report post Posted October 14, 2005 Homer vs Bush is awesome...they edited my favorite line in syndication for time cuts. After Santa's littler helped leaves Homer to follow George. "Looks like that dog is barking up the wrong...BUSH." *Homer's brain* Homer, do you realize that's the smartest thing you've ever said and no one's around to hear it... D'OH! D'OH! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> We're lucky I guess, whenever it's a repeat they hardly edit it at all. I would have been outraged if that line was cut out.
RavishingRickRudo 0 Report post Posted October 15, 2005 An absolutely awful season.
Fökai 0 Report post Posted October 15, 2005 Agreed. "Radioactive Man" in DVD quality is not worth $35. Season #8 looks to be the last hurrah, if I'm not mistaken.
RavishingRickRudo 0 Report post Posted October 15, 2005 It seems like every second episode is "revealing" some hidden secret or making up a past that was never hinted at before.
Slayer 0 Report post Posted October 15, 2005 Continuity issues initially went out the window when they started changing the years of the past to reflect the present (i.e. Bart was born in 1980, but Lisa wasn't born until 1984 even though they're only 2 years apart, then Maggie was born in 1990 but Bart was only 5 and Lisa 3) but the first big dump on continuity and history came with the Sergeant Skinner episode, AFAIR
the max 0 Report post Posted October 15, 2005 I liked a lot of the one-liners in this season and a few of the episodes were well written. I'll probably get it, but after that, I'm done.

MrRant 0 Report post Posted October 18, 2005 From what I recall, this is when it stopped being a relatively feasible show of a family to just whackyness. *tear*
Sideburnious 0 Report post Posted October 18, 2005 Nah, I think the Lord of the Flies parody is definatly when they jumped the shark.
