Miami at New Orleans

(Baton Rouge, LA)

Baltimore at Pittsburgh

Not a very attractive line-up. Houston could get it's first win this week however (looking at thier schedule, Its there best chance of winning until week 15)

Chicago/Detroit is a battle for "control" of the NFC North.

Carson Palmer is gonna throw all over the field on the GB defense.

I'm looking forward to my Giants vs. Washington for 1st place in the NFC East, and also Kansa City vs. San Diego should be good.

Cleveland's exactly the type of team Houston doesn't want to face. They may not be very good, but they've got a pretty aggressive defense, and the should knock Houston's OL around pretty good. I'm thinking 13-6 Cleveland.

KC/SD and Philly/Denver should be pretty good.

I'm not saying Cleveland is a horrible enough team that Houston should be able to win (I don't think they will), but they got Indy, Jax, KC, Stl, Tenn, Baltimore on the horizon. Tennessee might be a win but they didnt have anything for them the first time. I do think they'll sneak in a surprise and beat either Stl or Baltimore though.

Houston's OL was better against the Colts. There were five sacks, but two of them were all on Carr (held the ball too long) and the others came in the fourth quarter when the Colts were teeing off on Carr because they were up 18 points and the Texans were in obvious passing situations.

Predictions:

Arizona at Dallas: Cowboys gotta get off the snide and will do so here by 2 TDs I would think.

Chicago at Detroit: I am amazed that the Lions are .500. They won't be for long.

Cleveland at Houston: Cleveland gets a narrow road win over the hapless Texans.

Green Bay at Cincinnati: Isn't getting any easier for Favre. Bengals by 10.

Jacksonville at St. Louis: The Jags so do not rock my world. Is Bulger out the rest of the season? If he is back I'll take the Rams. If not, Jags in an asswhooping.

Minnesota at Carolina: Don't get a swell head, Vikings. Panthers by like 21.

Oakland at Tennessee: I have no idea. Two jobbers. I'll take the Titans since they're at home here.

Washington at N.Y. Giants: Good one here. I'm thinking Eli gets it done again as the Giants win at home by maybe 7 or less.

Kansas City at San Diego: SD desperately needs a win to avoid going 3-5. They'll take this by about 7.

Miami at New Orleans:

(Baton Rouge, LA): Dear God. I'll take the Saints to finally get a close win.

Philadelphia at Denver: Philly has been WAY too lucky. Denver by 10.

Tampa Bay at San Francisco: Tampa in an assrape.

Buffalo at New England: Patriots in an beatdown.

Monday, Oct. 31

Baltimore at Pittsburgh: Steelers will beat down the Ravens. This will be a man's game.

The other owner, another great guy, Tisch, is also in the hospital with problems right now. So I'm not sure.

Mara is famously known for saving the NFls ass back in the day, when he voted for reenue sharing for TV rights or something close to that.

With New England having something to prove after a loss two weeks ago, and a week off, playing a team who probably lost a lot of momentum in the Bay on Sunday?

New England by about 30 on Sunday.

My Skins go to NY for a showdown for first place in the NFC East. If the Skins win it will be huge as they go into first place and a 2-0 Division record.

Some interesting stats, The Skins are the #2 Offense and the #4 Defense in the league. The Giants Defense is ranked 30th, ahead of only San Francisco.

I think the Redskins go on the road an win a big early/mid-season game.

Skins 24

Giants 21

I'm actually taking Houston in this one. They've got to win sometime, and Cleveland's spotty enough to let it happen. Say the Texans get lucky on a couple big plays; I doubt the Browns will recover well.

2nd in yards, 14th in points.

Its gonna be a close game. If the Giants can get pressure on Brunell, and stop Portis, they'll be fine. Beside last week against Anderson and Bell, and then against LT, the Giants run D has been very good. The Giants D is a bend but not break defence. If they can keep the damage to a minimum, I like their chances.

I wouldn't be too concerned about the Cortez signing, infact it may be a very good thing. The panel on DNL made a great point, in that they would not release France based on FG kicking (he has done a terrific job there and should have a job ASAP if GMs know what they are doing). The reason you would release France is because his kickoffs don't get anywhere near the goal line. So you would not release him and sign a bigger leg unless your All Pro kicker was ready for place kicking duties (with Cortez to handle kickoffs). And the reports that Akers may be back this week play into that idea.

eh, I wouldn't exactly call a 30th ranked defense, a bend but don't break defense. I just think that the Skins offense is flying under everyone's radar because of how bad it was last season. They have been getting better every week, and putting up consistent days of over 350 yards offense. Even if you throw out the whooping they gave the 49ers, from the Seattle game on, their offense has been consistent every week, including on the road against Denver and KC. Some costly fumbles have ruined red zone chances, but they have thrown the fewest INTs in the league, but those types of things go away on a Gibbs-coached team.

I haven't seen the Giants play much this year besides on highlight reels, but I wonder how well they defend the screen, because our players in their 2nd year of the system now seem to finally know where to be in position to block, and those same screen plays that went for five yards last season are now going for 15+ a pop.... B-)

It shows how little the Pack thinks of FredEx ... they'd rather have a guy with the nickname "Taco" than him.

Man, I wish I knew some Bills fans, so I could talk shit in preparation for the game on Sunday. Too bad I can't think of any Bills fans.

fuck...

I'm not even gonna bother watching...actually, I'd say they're pretty well matched up, taking into account injuries and such...the AFC East is gonna give the NFC North a run for it's money in shitty-ness...

Why aren't you going to watch, Lushus? I figure the Bills have a resonable chance of winning ... it seems that your boys normally give the Pats all they can handle (occasional 31-0 games not-included). Should be a good game.

When all is said and done, though, the division should really be won by New England, with Buffalo second, Miami third, and the Jets a distant 4th.

I'm hoping that the Bills can at least make it respectable. A win wouldn't be out of the question but it's a long shot. If they can finally tighten up against the run and play better third down defence (which has been brutal thus far), it could be close.
