Bret Hart to appear on Byte This

Recommended Posts

From WWE.Com

Former WWE Champion Bret "Hit Man" Hart has not appeared live on WWE programming since the controversial "Montreal Incident" in November 1997.

That long drought will finally come to an end when "The Excellence of Execution" appears live in the Byte This! studio in two weeks (Nov. 16). With the release of his highly anticipated DVD on Nov. 15, there's no telling what the Hit Man will have to say.

Don't miss this truly historic Byte This!

(Note from S_D: Gee, I wonder why he's not on the November 9th Byte This? It couldn't be because November 9th was the day of Survivor Series 1997, could it? =)

I'll skip this (like all the other Byte This shows in existence) and just get Bret's DVD in two weeks instead. I'm pretty sure he isn't going to expose something that I won't read in a recap.

This headline is so bogus.  I clicked to read that Bret was coming back to Raw in the coming weeks.  Who gives a shit if he's on some net talk show?

Because the simple fact that it's happening (remember, Bret's actually going to be in the studio, not just on the phone) means that it just may lead to your little fantasy of Bret Hart being on RAW.

And it's not bogus. A bogus headline would be the one up saying that RAW records an all-time low USA rating, when it easily is not. It's not the headline's fault that you jumped to fanatical conclusions. Byte This is WWE programming. Get over it, Billy Bitchcakes.

Well, its not exactly a TV return or that he's involved in some sort of angle so its just sticking to what he wanted. Its all about what Bret and his fans want, not what the WWE wants him to do.

I love my conspiracies(since the tv product isn't creating any) and I wonder if Vince is doing a reverse situation of 1997. Remember, he wanted Bret to job and go with HBK in what could have been a burial. He already knew he had to spend the big bucks on Mike Tyson for WM 14. What if Vince pulled the same stunt with Austin this past week because he's going to spend big bucks to bring back Hart for Mania? It would be ironic, but........

A triple threat match between Hart/HBK/Austin at WM 22 would be more fitting since...

1. In Chicago

2. Ten year anniversary of ironman match

3. The place where Austin turned face and led the "new generation"

4. The place where Hart and HBK were suppose to headline the rematch

5. HBK could carry the match

This is nothing to get too excited about but it should be fun to see if they mess with Bret at all (Shawn Michaels on line 2!). Bret has gone on record saying he has no interest in doing anything with WWE beyond promotion for the DVD, which is what this is.

Some Hart news via Meltzer:

--This actually happened some time back but was never publicized, but Bret Hart did basically win his case via an out-of-court settlement with Lloyd's of London. Lloyd's had refused to pay on Hart's permanent disability claim for the concussion (s) that ended his career stemming from the Starrcade '99 match with Bill Goldberg until just recently. More is expected to come out on this tomorrow.

--Speaking of Hart, he will be appearing on WWE Byte This in two weeks to promote his DVD and will be appearing on Wrestling Observer Live on the 13th. He's doing a lot of WWE sponsored things to promote the DVD.

I remember reading about Hart's insurance case but never heard the results.

Bret Hart vs. Kurt Angle, anyone?

Whoever doesn't die first, wins the match.

Let's go over this for the millionth time. Slowly. Bret. Hart. Had. A. STROKE. a fairly serious one.

"A stroke or cerebrovascular accident (CVA) occurs when the blood supply to a part of the brain is suddenly interrupted. In brain tissue, ischemia, a reduction of blood flow, leads to an ischemic cascade that can damage or kill brain cells. Death of brain tissue can lead to loss of the function controlled by that tissue. Thus stroke is the third leading cause of death and leading cause of adult disability in the US and industrialized European nations (Jauch, 2005), and is a medical emergency. To underscore the seriousness of stroke, in recent years the term brain attack has become increasingly popular, in relation to the established term heart attack used for myocardial infarctions."

Bret has trouble speaking clearly. He has some trouble with short term momory. He would be risking death if he ever took another bump.

It's not going to happen.

I've got just a 56k connection so I'm sticking with Audio Only, for those familiar with Byte This does Audio Only usually work fine, is the show on yet, I've got it playing but it's just silence now.
