KingPK Posted November 6, 2005 Report Posted November 6, 2005 We officially need an MMA sub-folder in sports after tonight. We agree, so here you go. With the UFC attracting more and more fans to this sport, having this folder seperated from the main Sports forum should prevent topics from being lost in the shuffle. Enjoy.
razazteca Posted November 6, 2005 Report Posted November 6, 2005 So it took 3 years to bring it back? MMA is like the Family Guy of folders.
Lord of The Curry Posted November 6, 2005 Report Posted November 6, 2005 Cheers to KingPK for this one.
Guest Brian Posted November 6, 2005 Report Posted November 6, 2005 Give me some fucking credit. I'm a mod too.
Lord of The Curry Posted November 6, 2005 Report Posted November 6, 2005 :Kisses: PS- Somebody needs to change the folder title. "From PRIDE to MMA" doesn't make much sense. Might I suggest " From the UFC to PRIDE and more. Real fighting for real fans".
Sass Posted November 6, 2005 Report Posted November 6, 2005 This folder will be a gem to have once the UFC really gets hot. Thank Pete for this hook-up. Nice idea guys.
Mole Posted November 6, 2005 Report Posted November 6, 2005 UFC is getting really hot. It is the 1998-2000 WWF right now. Well not that popular, but that college kids are really getting into it now. Whatever, you knwo what I mean.
KingPK Posted November 7, 2005 Author Report Posted November 7, 2005 :Kisses: PS- Somebody needs to change the folder title. "From PRIDE to MMA" doesn't make much sense. Might I suggest " From the UFC to PRIDE and more. Real fighting for real fans". I thought I did put UFC there. My fingers didn't listen to my brain, I guess. I'll fix it, but Arlovski WILL bust you up if you don't post in here.
AboveAverage484 Posted November 7, 2005 Report Posted November 7, 2005 It should read from Pride to UFC and more instead of the other way around Ahem. And what's with the no-love for K-1? 1996-99 K-1 was the best period for combat sports EVER.
Guest Leelee Posted November 8, 2005 Report Posted November 8, 2005 Arlovski is a cutie. But, I still can't follow the sport.
Sass Posted November 8, 2005 Report Posted November 8, 2005 Well, since you brought it up... Why can't you follow MMA?
Failed Bridge Posted November 8, 2005 Report Posted November 8, 2005 So it took 3 years to bring it back? MMA is like the Family Guy of folders. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Hopefully there isn't a crappy American Dad type thing that takes away from MMA's previous enjoyment and thus makes it a shell of itself.
Sass Posted November 8, 2005 Report Posted November 8, 2005 ^ that could end up being Paul Heyman's venture into MMA...
Guest Leelee Posted November 8, 2005 Report Posted November 8, 2005 I enjoyed the knockout show they had on their Monday night premiere... but, for the most part, the regular matches are very boring to me. I know, I should try to learn the intricacies of how MMA works...
Sass Posted November 8, 2005 Report Posted November 8, 2005 Forget that "intricacies" bullshit your spouting. Just sit down and watch some shows, good shows mind you, and anyone, guy or girl, can get into MMA. You've got all of us MMA dorks here at your disposal and many here are great people to go to for fight recommendations or who the fighters are that you should be watching. If you can enjoy wrestling, you shouldn't have too many problems getting into MMA. Fighting, by nature, is unpredictable. You never know how beautiful or ugly a match will be until it's over and the dust settles. But, if it's a great match, you'll never forget about it.
The Thread Killer Posted November 9, 2005 Report Posted November 9, 2005 Nice move putting this folder in. It's high time. Nice to see MMA in a SPORTS subforum and not mixed in with the Other Promotions. Back when I wrote "The Tap Out Wrap Up" I asked Dames to create an MMA folder but noooo. So anyhow yeah, I'm glad to see this here.
Adam Posted December 8, 2005 Report Posted December 8, 2005 I'm relatively new in the MMA watching scene, I've now seen UFC 40, 41, 43, and 54. I'll be getting 56 soon, I loved Georges St. Pierre in UFC 54. Australia isn't exactly the haven for MMA tapes.
