The Man in Blak Posted November 8, 2005 Report Posted November 8, 2005 Quoted For Truth. Very obscure 'net slang.

Jer Posted November 11, 2005 Report Posted November 11, 2005 FF6 FF7 FF10 FF1 Remake FF9 FF8 FF5 FF4 FF2 (Seriously one of the worst games I've ever played. I'm sitting there trying to level up right at the beginning of the game and I run into random enemies that attack me for four digit damage? Um, wtf? And the leveling system is the most nonsensical crap I've ever seen. I may even like this game less than Xenogears. )
haws bah gawd Posted November 11, 2005 Report Posted November 11, 2005 Final Fantasy VII and X are tied for favorites of mine. I love the story and music of each equally. VII - One Winged Angel made for perfect music for the final boss fight, and the death of Aeris pissed me off something fierce the first time around. Afterall, she was my most powerful healer, and I relied on her a lot in battle. The bosses weren't too overly powerful, but the game still had its share of puzzles and tense battles. X - Overall the music of this game is far better than the music in VII. "Otherworld" (the angry metal song that plays in the first blitzball cinema), "Someday the Dream Will End", and especially the various versions of "The Hymn of the Fayth" make for the best selection of music to come from a FF game. The boss fights again tend to be on the easy side compared to some of the basic enemies. There is a lot to do in this game, anyone remember getting all the sigils? I played about 8 hours of the PSX remake of FF1, and it was enjoyable for what it was. FFVI lost my interest after a few hours. I just couldnt get into it. VIII was a massive departure from the bliss of VII. I didnt like having to draw my items and spells from enemies, and the junctioning system was a little too tedious. It wasnt a bad game by any means though. On the subject of FFX though, how could you NOT enjoy fighting this guy close to the end:
Black Lushus Posted November 11, 2005 Report Posted November 11, 2005 my work monitor is kinda shitty, is that the battle against Tidus's dad? I really hated that battle...I mean REALLY hated it...
haws bah gawd Posted November 11, 2005 Report Posted November 11, 2005 Yes it is. I'll admit the fight is tough, but it was a lot of fun fighting an enemy as huge as him for the first time.
Black Lushus Posted November 11, 2005 Report Posted November 11, 2005 oh don't get me wrong, it's visually stunning, but man was it frustrating...that goddamn move he does where he petrifies you and then IMMEDIATELY gets the next turn and shatters you, having to constantly stop those Pagodas, the move where he grabs you and inflicts mega damage, the move where he hits you with every status effect under the sun...BLAH! as far as cool looking bosses, I always dug the bosses in the .hack series...
{''({o..o})''} Posted November 11, 2005 Report Posted November 11, 2005 "Otherworld" (the angry metal song that plays in the first blitzball cinema), "Someday the Dream Will End", and especially the various versions of "The Hymn of the Fayth" make for the best selection of music to come from a FF game. Blatant, utter lie.

Matt Young Posted November 11, 2005 Report Posted November 11, 2005 I had a very vivid dream where I was listening to an orchestra perform FF music. I don't, however, know any FF music, which means that my unconscious mind came up with some damn awesome songs. Still, that dream made me want to check out a FF soundtrack, as well as play through FFVII sooner rather than later so I can watch and understand Advent Children (since "the AC video" [obviously not the real one] was being shown on a video screen during the "concert").
