Spaceman Spiff 0 Report post Posted November 12, 2005 I have said before that I think Heidenreich will be a main eventer at some point. He just has that look that WWE likes. What look? He looks like a big goof.
Guest Jack Potts Report post Posted November 12, 2005 a man of Lashley's size doesn't need strategy, the only strategy should be to go out and destroy...if you were talking a guy of Benoit or Bret Hart's size and skill, i could see that... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Sure he does. If he's facing Rey, then Mysterio will try to outmaneuver him and send him on a chase around the ring. In that case, just stay still and play to the crowd until Rey comes to him. Then crush him. Against someone like the Big Show (although they're on different shows) Lashley would have to turn the match into a cardio workout. There are all kinds of ways to have fun with the gimmick. It would turn Lashley from a generic big lug into a power wrestler with a brilliant tactical mind. Not play dirty, mind you, because that's the province of HHH and Flair. Just make him a surprisingly good strategist for such a big man, thanks to the help of his veteran manager.

Team Angle Pusher 0 Report post Posted November 13, 2005 That's no spoiler really. I know we should all be crying about Eddie Guerrero and I was a fan of his work and I hoped they put the belt on him but life goes on. I think this will have a huge impact on the WWE. For instance I think Chavo retires in a month. First he'll pay tribute to Eddie but then he leaves, I don't think he can wrestle without him, he'll also break out of the Kerwin White character no doubt. Smackdown! is fucked now because two of their biggest Faces are gone and the ratings will most likely go down now. I mean, their two biggest Faces now are Matt Hardy and Rey Mysterio. The belt goes on Randy Orton now unless they think of something really soon. They might end the brand split now. Also guys like Booker T and Benoit are around Eddie's age and they have been thinking about stopping, they'll stop when their contract runs out I think. They'll also push Bobby Lashley even more now, mark my words.
Boon 0 Report post Posted November 13, 2005 Don't be surprised to see Benoit catapaulted into the Main Event, in honor of Eddie.
Team Angle Pusher 0 Report post Posted November 13, 2005 I was just about to say that. Only thing that is in the way is that Benoit just lost the US Title. It would be really class of the WWE if they have Benoit win the World Title and they all cry in the middle of the ring. They can also have Mysterio win the title ofcourse.
Boon 0 Report post Posted November 13, 2005 Benoit would win before Rey would win, definitely. Benoit and Eddie's history is far greater then Rey and Eddie's, plus it's not a stretch for WWE to put the strap on Benoit since he's already won it.
cabbageboy 0 Report post Posted November 13, 2005 I don't know, and frankly after reading about Eddie this morning I really don't care. Orton frankly should just refuse the title under these circumstances..if he wins it due to one opponent being hurt and another dying people will hate him forever. And not in a heel way.
Team Angle Pusher 0 Report post Posted November 13, 2005 They just can't have a Heel win the belt now, it's not respectful. Either Mysterio or Benoit wins it.
k thx 0 Report post Posted November 13, 2005 I can't see WWE doing anything other than putting the belt on Benoit tonight. I just hope they don't exploit Eddies death.
Guest *KNK* Report post Posted November 13, 2005 I don't think the title situation means a damn thing right now, I don't care if the title is vacant for another 6 months. The important thing is to honor Eddie's tremendous life and career with utmost respect. The situation with the title isn't remotely important right now. cbacon 0 Report post Posted November 13, 2005 They should hold off the title change till after Survivor Series now. Then put it on Benoit And I guess this means Benoit and Booker will be joining Team Smackdown.

Guest Duke_The_Dog Report post Posted November 13, 2005 PWI Insider As I am sure you will all understand, the reaction to Eddie Guerrero's sudden passing has blindsided everyone I talked to in WWE this morning. The workers I have spoken to about it are just numb and shocked. The word I have gotten is that the company has decided to make both the Raw and Smackdown shows at tonight's combined taping in Minneapolis tribute shows to Eddie. The usual format for the shows has been changed to instead incorporate tributes to Eddie. I still can't believe he's gone.

It sucks that he died but let's not get carried away, unless you were a family member or close friend this isn't anywhere near a devastating experience for any sane person. We are just fans and will move on. Pretending like the WWE will not and should not move on, or making statements like "I don't care if the title is vacant for 6 months" are ridiculous. Its unfortunate that the wrestling world lost Eddie Guerrero but too many people here are trying to act like this is hitting them way to hard. I mean crying and getting all depressed? Get fucking real, you didn't lose your brother or something, stop trying to act like you did. It doesn't make you look like some fucking saint of mourning instead you look like a jackass. I'm sorry he's gone and feel bad for his family but some people in this thread seriously need to get a grip on reality. If any of older than 13 are seriously crying over the death of someone you in no way knew, you need to check yourself ASAP. You were a fan of a performer, that's it. Stop acting like you lost a family member or something, your not doing him a service or making yourself look like some outstanding person. Again, this is tragedy for his wife and children, and very sad for those who knew him. Its also a sad day for wrestling fans but stop going overboard trying to out grieve each other. And seriously if any of you who "cried " are over 12 you seriously need to rethink your relationship with wrestling ASAP. Luckily we get your "exclusive" opinions here from now on.
