Guest heyimbro Posted November 15, 2005 Report Posted November 15, 2005 No, there were to be 2 tapings that night, one for each brand. They were taping before heading to Europe.
The Mandarin Posted November 15, 2005 Report Posted November 15, 2005 I couldn't bring myself to cry even if I wanted to. I'm in too much shock. It's just like he isn't there for the week. In about two weeks, I'll rewatch this and I'll be devestated.
CanadianChris Posted November 15, 2005 Report Posted November 15, 2005 Was the RAW/Smackdown joint taping planned before Eddie Guerrero's death? Seems like strange timing that his death coincided with the one week all the superstars are at the same taping. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yes. They were planning a European tour this week, and had to tape both shows on the weekend to accommodate it. OK, I really don't think we need the fucking disclaimer on TSN tonight.
Slickster Posted November 15, 2005 Report Posted November 15, 2005 Was the RAW/Smackdown joint taping planned before Eddie Guerrero's death? Seems like strange timing that his death coincided with the one week all the superstars are at the same taping. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yes, it was a Supershow since both brands are doing Euro tours.

Seems like strange timing that his death coincided with the one week all the superstars are at the same taping. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> It was a planned double taping, I guess it was devine intervention that would allow those guys to be together that night to remember eddy.
LaParkaYourCar Posted November 15, 2005 Report Posted November 15, 2005 Is this really an Eddy memory we want to remember?
JustJoe2k5 Posted November 15, 2005 Report Posted November 15, 2005 Good that Joey Styles will be commentating, he should have alot of great insight on Guerrero's early career.
Slickster Posted November 15, 2005 Report Posted November 15, 2005 Big Show gets half pyro since the car is where the other pyro would be. Styles sounds totally drained.
razazteca Posted November 15, 2005 Report Posted November 15, 2005 On the bright side at least the announcing will be good tonight instead of the 3 stooges fighting to get a word in.
CanadianChris Posted November 15, 2005 Report Posted November 15, 2005 Is this really an Eddy memory we want to remember? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Hey, I laughed.
Vyce Posted November 15, 2005 Report Posted November 15, 2005 Is this really an Eddy memory we want to remember? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Eh, it sort of serves to introduce Big Show. Damn, though, Big Show was crying on the way to the ring.
ragingfear79 Posted November 15, 2005 Report Posted November 15, 2005 I couldnt stop crying during hurt and when i finally stopped crying i saw Benoit crying and i couldnt do anything about it and cried more...
JustJoe2k5 Posted November 15, 2005 Report Posted November 15, 2005 I think on shows honoring a fallen superstar, gimmicks should be put on hold. Seeing MNM just doesn't seem right.
Slickster Posted November 15, 2005 Report Posted November 15, 2005 First time both sets of tag champions face each other. Melina filmed from behind because she's crying. No split, either.
MarvinisaLunatic Posted November 15, 2005 Report Posted November 15, 2005 Its pretty sad that the first RAW vs Smackdown show is perpetuated by Eddy's death, because otherwise..it would have just been 2 seperate shows.
JustJoe2k5 Posted November 15, 2005 Report Posted November 15, 2005 I have a feeling that MSNBC Special will be much more negative than a tribute to Guerrero's career.
Slickster Posted November 15, 2005 Report Posted November 15, 2005 Hey! Mickey Jay is now Mickey Henson (to avoid confusion with Mickie James).
MarvinisaLunatic Posted November 15, 2005 Report Posted November 15, 2005 An Eddy Guerrero Special on MSNBC? Hmm...
JustJoe2k5 Posted November 15, 2005 Report Posted November 15, 2005 Anyone else notice, until Joey Styles commentated no one ever mentioned the referee's names.
Guest Trecko Posted November 15, 2005 Report Posted November 15, 2005 I couldnt stop crying during hurt and when i finally stopped crying i saw Benoit crying and i couldnt do anything about it and cried more... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Seriously...I haven't cried like that in forever...I barely even cry at all..I completely broke down, my forehead was hurting after a while... And watching MNM right now is really, really aggrivating.
razazteca Posted November 15, 2005 Report Posted November 15, 2005 MNM = twin Edge clones with a better valet.
Steviekick Posted November 15, 2005 Report Posted November 15, 2005 I have a feeling that MSNBC Special will be much more negative than a tribute to Guerrero's career. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Same here. That's the only reason I could see MSNBC doing a show about him.
Slickster Posted November 15, 2005 Report Posted November 15, 2005 I think on shows honoring a fallen superstar, gimmicks should be put on hold. Seeing MNM just doesn't seem right. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Hey, like it or not the fans paid to see WWE superstars, not guys wrestling without gimmicks. EDIT: Big Show looked like he was eating Melina's face.
JustJoe2k5 Posted November 15, 2005 Report Posted November 15, 2005 Lazy chestbump between Big Show and Kane, just sort of walked into each other.
Guest Boobie Posted November 15, 2005 Report Posted November 15, 2005 Was the RAW/Smackdown joint taping planned before Eddie Guerrero's death? Seems like strange timing that his death coincided with the one week all the superstars are at the same taping. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> They were heading to Europe, so they wanted to tape raw and smackdown at the same time.
LaParkaYourCar Posted November 15, 2005 Report Posted November 15, 2005 There we go squash the Smackdown Tag Champs...Cole and Tazz are right Smackdown is treated like the B Show.
Steviekick Posted November 15, 2005 Report Posted November 15, 2005 I know this is technically the first Raw vs. SD show, but I really think due to the circumstances they went that route was due to the Eddie's passing. I don't think the matches/results from tonight will be mentioned in future storylines.
SuperJerk Posted November 15, 2005 Report Posted November 15, 2005 I have a feeling that MSNBC Special will be much more negative than a tribute to Guerrero's career. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Same here. That's the only reason I could see MSNBC doing a show about him. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Maybe...maybe not.
AboveAverage484 Posted November 15, 2005 Report Posted November 15, 2005 They just said Show/Kane were the biggest tag champs in history? What about Andre and Haku? And this is like the first Raw I've seen in a few years, did Lilian Garcia get plastic surgery, she's a lot hotter than I remember.
JustJoe2k5 Posted November 15, 2005 Report Posted November 15, 2005 Lilian gets to comment before Chavo, Benoit, Mysterio, Malenko, etc.
