AnonymousBroccoli 0 Report post Posted June 28, 2008 They closed down EA Chicago, who made at least Round 3. Because making good games for EA is a bad thing, I guess. EA Canada's doing Round 4, though, and their games are generally pretty solid.
Broward83 0 Report post Posted June 28, 2008 EA Chicago was also responsible for the travesty that was Def Jam ICON. They also hadn't discussed working on a FN: R4 and were pretty much just sitting on their laurels and wasting EA's money.

Obi Chris Kenobi 0 Report post Posted July 2, 2008 So I got my 360 back from the repair today, literally my 360. Same Serial Number and marking I put on the outer case (which they tried to clean). However, the case looks a little more scratched then before and the faceplate doesn't fit over the DVD as well. The Diagnostics say - failed DVD and MOBO. So they've replaced that in my original case?

I had assumed I got a different box, as it was a lot cleaner, and hadn't even thought to look at the serial number or anything. But I think it is the same as I had previously, not that I really remember it. Although, my little USB port thing, was broken at one hinge, and that seems to be fixed, so maybe they just put the same serial on a new console. (To keep track of the repairs maybe) Either that, or when they repair it, they fully repair it. Regardless, I got my Xbox back, and it works, so I'm happy. Strange we got it back on the same day Haven't tried mine out yet, as I can't be bothered to remove the PS3 which has taken its place due the AWOL repair. Seems I have to fans on the back of the inside now, can't remember if I had two previously though - think I'm just seeing things haha.
Mike wanna be 0 Report post Posted July 2, 2008 Yes, they clean it. There was a big-ass stink about a guy who literally took his console around getting it autographed, and they deliberately erased every speck of autographing off of it when he sent it in for repair, even though it was obviously something valuable and he even included a "Do not erase" note. I don't have the link handy, but someone here probably does and with any luck they'll get it to you before I do.

Dandy 0 Report post Posted July 4, 2008 If this has been discussed elsewhere, I apologize. Please direct me to the thread or post that covers it. What is the best MLB game (with the rosters for this year) for the 360? Gameplay, controls, and realism are more important than graphics to me. Are there downloads available that allow you to update rosters or that adjust the ratings of the players based on what they have done this year? I have been out of the baseball game scene for a looong time and have no idea what is considered the best franchise at the moment. Thanks!
KingPK 0 Report post Posted July 4, 2008 There's only one game: MLB 2K8. I played the demo and it's not bad (and has dropped in price at Gamestop to $40).

Scroby 0 Report post Posted July 7, 2008 I don't know if anyone else stills plays Halo 3 on Xbox Live but if anyone does, for today and today only, it's Bungie day and Bungie, for today and today only, has put out a new multiplayer map that you can download for FREE! But it's only free for today, July 7th. Some other things you get to download for free, a Bungie Day 08 theme and gamer pics. There's also a video up as well, that's also free to download. SO YAY BUNGIE DAY 08!

Ced 0 Report post Posted July 12, 2008 Downloaded Schizoid on XBLA. http://xboxlive.ign.com/articles/886/886922p1.html You can play with a partner either locally or on Live, but single player Uberschizoid mode just messes with you. Control two ships: the blue one with the left stick and the red with the right stick and try not to die with the mayhem going around. I somehow made it to level 21, but it truly melted my brain. Exslade ZX 0 Report post Posted July 12, 2008 Is there a way to rip music directly from your computer to your 360? I thought the Media Center thing would do that, but I set it up today, and well, when it wasn't freezing, I really only saw the options for Play, Delete, Buy Music (F that) etc. and it seems you can only stream stuff using Media Center? Just looking for an option of getting my music on my 360, without having to waste CDs (For example, just for a few themes I want to put on SD)
Matt Young 0 Report post Posted July 13, 2008 Has anyone played Civilization Revolution? I loved the demo. I'm picking the game up on Tuesday along with NCAA 08. Should be fun.
Mike wanna be 0 Report post Posted July 13, 2008 I played the demo. All it did was motivate me to get Civ IV; the controls were good but compared to a mouse & keyboard they felt clunky and unintuitive, and for whatever reason I couldn't take a single village over because they built a wall and had archers. Broward83 0 Report post Posted July 13, 2008 I checked it out from work. It was a fucking blast and if I had the extra money, I'd buy it. I love how streamlined it is and that I don't have to micromanage everything in any given city and can focus more of my time on either building my army or figuring out my tech tree. City walls are nothing when matched against a catapult army. Oh..and make sure you get navigation. I wound up finding Atlantis and the Knights Templar...the former gave me a ton of tech while the latter wound up giving me a tank.

Scroby 0 Report post Posted July 14, 2008 If true that also sounds intresting and could be a lot of fun. I just really hope Bungie doesn't stop producing Halo 3 Multi-player maps to put more focus on the new game.
Obi Chris Kenobi 0 Report post Posted July 14, 2008 If true that also sounds intresting and could be a lot of fun. I just really hope Bungie doesn't stop producing Halo 3 Multi-player maps to put more focus on the new game. Don't think that'll happen since it sounds like this will be a different type of game and bungie seem pretty community based. They'll probably make a few more Halo3 Maps while working on this too, after all those map packs must bring in a fancy penny or two.

KingPK 0 Report post Posted July 14, 2008 (edited) So it's official: Netflix users will be able to watch movies from the 360 at no extra charge. Fucking sweet. A ton of news came out of their press conference, including release dates for GOW2 (November 7) and RE5 (pushed back to March 13, 2009), the announcement of Lips, a singing game that allows you to connect your MP3 player and use the songs from that, FFXIII is coming to 360 and Rock Band 2 will have 84 songs on the disc plus you can rip the songs from the first one so you don't have to swap discs. KingPK 0 Report post Posted July 14, 2008 The Pro or Elite since you need a HDD to download special emulator software. The Pro is $299 now which makes the Arcade ($279) more a waste of money than it was.
