Guest J0bber Posted November 25, 2005 Report Posted November 25, 2005 http://us.video.aol.com/video.index.adp?mo...&pmmsid=1433682 This video is funny as hell, especially when the fat black woman's wig falls off.
Dobbs 3K Posted November 26, 2005 Report Posted November 26, 2005 I don't understand who actually wants to be part of a mob like that. I think I'd rather go to the dentist than wait outside a big box store for three hours in the freezing cold to save a few bucks on some crap I could probably get someplace else the following weekend for about the same price. I really think retail chains should re-think this whole "door buster sale" thing. Is it really worth getting a few extra bucks early to have a horde of people outside your door, and risk people getting injured by greedy idiots? There's usually no extra security or crowd control at a lot of these places either.
slimm44 Posted November 26, 2005 Report Posted November 26, 2005 Well I worked my first Black Friday and it wasn't as bad as I predicted. Tomorrow is probably going to be worse than today, but it turned out to be a fun day

Damaramu Posted November 26, 2005 Report Posted November 26, 2005 My friend works overnight floor crew at Wal-Mart and he saw two women get into a fistfight over a cabbage patch doll.

the max Posted November 26, 2005 Report Posted November 26, 2005 There were no doorbuster savings to be had by us today, as nothing looked worthy of the girlfriend getting up at 430 in the morning to save a few bucks on something. We'll probably do all of our shopping online this year. S-M-R-T, especially based on her almost getting into a slapfight with some broad at the grocery store earlier this week when this woman reached into our cart and tried to grab our turkey.

MarvinisaLunatic Posted November 26, 2005 Report Posted November 26, 2005 I actually used it as an excuse to start shopping..cause I've procrastinated more than usual this year and I got a good deal done today although I've still got a lot left. Going to Wal Mart at 5am was a poor decision, only did it because it was open at 5am and nothing else was open til 6. Once I got out of there it was smooth sailing for the rest of the morning til I had to go to work at noon. But oddly enough, in the last week, I've spent a good deal of money on myself at Target (Seasons 5/6 of Seinfeld ($60), Season 3 of Family Guy ($7 with $10 worth of giftcards from Buying the Seinfeld sets)...luckily I was smart to drop hints that I wanted Volume 3 of Family Guy (this Tuesday) Season 4 of 24 (December 6), and Season 7 of the Simpsons (December 13) although Im a bit worried I'll have to return the Simpsons set because I wasn't specific that I wanted the regular box, not the Marge head thing)..damn the companies for releasing all that good TV on DVD within a 4 week span.

And nothing happened around here this year.
Big Ol' Smitty Posted November 26, 2005 Report Posted November 26, 2005 I heard that people were rioting at bookstores all over the country over this book.
Hogan Made Wrestling Posted November 26, 2005 Report Posted November 26, 2005 I went to Best Buy and picked up some 512 mb SD memory cards for 10 bucks each. I didn't go right at opening so I missed the hot stuff like cheap mp3 players and so on.
River City Rocker Posted November 28, 2005 Report Posted November 28, 2005 I work at a Wal-Mart. However, I didn't start until 1:45 PM on Friday. The highlight of Black Friday was apparently two women getting into a brawl in electronics over the last laptop computer on special. While they were fighting, a third customer snuck by them, and claimed that computer for herself. I've been told this actually happened, but still...
Eclipse Posted November 28, 2005 Report Posted November 28, 2005 I worked at a Black Friday in Toys R Us last year. It was INSANITY, as 100s of people entered the store. I was a cashier. They had the competition beat, as there were no Walmarts or Targets for MILES. They had all the customers in our area. I am at Toys R Us again, and Black Friday has passed. There is a new Walmart about 2 minute drive away from this store, and a NEW Target about 5 to 10 minutes away. The doors open, and as morning progresses........IT'S THE SLOWEST BLACK FRIDAY IN THE HISTORY of this Toys R Us. I couldn't believe it. Those 2 stores STOLE A HUGE CHUNK of the customers. The day was SLOW, and I worked 15 HOURS in that store...for nothing. I stood around bored most of the time. I couldn't believe it....
