strummer Posted November 27, 2005 Report Posted November 27, 2005 Just saw a local ad for New Year's Revolution (being held in Albany, NY) during Impact and it gives away the Main Event for the show. The ad has shots of the Elimination Chamber with images of Cena, Shawn Michaels, Carlito, Big Show, Kane, and HHH spliced in. So that looks to be the ME of the show. Now I just saw this and don't remember any shots of Angle. Could be wrong, but it doesn't look like he will be in the match.
2GOLD Posted November 27, 2005 Report Posted November 27, 2005 Why waste the Elimination chamber on a month when the Royal Rumble is the big deal?
The Amazing Rando Posted November 27, 2005 Report Posted November 27, 2005 Hmmm... Angle vs. Shelton is about the only feud worthy of Angle's time at this point that doesn't include any of those guys.
snuffbox Posted November 27, 2005 Report Posted November 27, 2005 Maybe theyre banking on that death watch rumor...
David Blazenwing Posted November 27, 2005 Report Posted November 27, 2005 Maybe theyre banking on that death watch rumor... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Vince: Yeah, Kurt... we've decided not to give you the WWE Championship at Survivor Series, because we think you're going to die within the next few months. Nice.
razazteca Posted November 27, 2005 Report Posted November 27, 2005 Kurt Angle has a broken freakin neck he does not need to be in any gimmick matches.
The Amazing Rando Posted November 27, 2005 Report Posted November 27, 2005 Maybe theyre banking on that death watch rumor... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Vince: Yeah, Kurt... we've decided not to give you the WWE Championship at Survivor Series, because we think you're going to die within the next few months. Nice. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Vince: Now someone go get Chris Masters...we have to have a talk...
MarvinisaLunatic Posted November 27, 2005 Report Posted November 27, 2005 Why waste the Elimination chamber on a month when the Royal Rumble is the big deal? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Well they did it at this years NYR as well so its not surprising.
Prophet of Mike Zagurski Posted November 27, 2005 Report Posted November 27, 2005 If this comes true, why is Carlito main eventing?
cabbageboy Posted November 27, 2005 Report Posted November 27, 2005 Could it be that Angle will have the title and the Elimination Chamber might just be a #1 contender match? And why the fuck is Carlito involved in all of this stuff anyway? The guy is a JOBBER. If Edge isn't still hurt how about him cashing in the Money in the Bank at NYR?
The Niggardly King Posted November 27, 2005 Report Posted November 27, 2005 I imagine if Carlito is in this, he'll take the Jericho role by getting thrown through glass, and taking a lot of bumps. That's about it.
edotherocket Posted November 27, 2005 Report Posted November 27, 2005 Has there been ANY reports of when they plan to pull the trigger on the whole Money in the Bank thing?
Guest Brian Posted November 27, 2005 Report Posted November 27, 2005 I think they are seriously trying to squeeze out as many buys out of their fanbase as possible before business gets any worse. And that includes throwing as much out as possible.
Guest FromBeyondTheGrave Posted November 27, 2005 Report Posted November 27, 2005 Hmmm... Angle vs. Shelton is about the only feud worthy of Angle's time at this point that doesn't include any of those guys. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Other options by then might be Angle .VS. Ric Flair/Chavo Guerrero/Rob Van Dam.
Guest tony manero Posted November 27, 2005 Report Posted November 27, 2005 So that means...Angle has no shot of winning at Survivor Series...which means no Internet Wrestling Fan is going to order that sumbitch. Which means Angle gets blamed for the low buyrate, and Cena is pushed even HARDER.
k thx Posted November 27, 2005 Report Posted November 27, 2005 So that means...Angle has no shot of winning at Survivor Series...which means no Internet Wrestling Fan is going to order that sumbitch. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yes, that is what it means...
Caliban Posted November 27, 2005 Report Posted November 27, 2005 I'm ordering since it's a big 4 PPV... haven't missed one in 13 years...
tpww7 Posted November 27, 2005 Report Posted November 27, 2005 There is still a longshot that Angle wins tonight. The ad for NYR was probably made about 2 weeks ago. Things change in that amount of time. Look at the Series ads.
Dobbs 3K Posted November 27, 2005 Report Posted November 27, 2005 Big Four PPV? I thought this idea died out quite a while ago, since WWE runs like, what? 16 PPVs a year now?
cabbageboy Posted November 27, 2005 Report Posted November 27, 2005 Yeah but if Angle doesn't win tonight he'd still be an obvious pick to put in the Elimination Chamber. How could he not be IN it while some asshole like Carlito is in it? I'm telling you, the Chamber match will be a #1 contender match, with the winner getting Angle or whoever at the Rumble.

Don't be stupid.
DrVenkman PhD Posted November 27, 2005 Report Posted November 27, 2005 An Elimination Chamber match... for #1 contendership... NOT a title... at a future PPV... that SAME MONTH. Well played cabbageboy.
DrVenkman PhD Posted November 27, 2005 Report Posted November 27, 2005 Big Four PPV? I thought this idea died out quite a while ago, since WWE runs like, what? 16 PPVs a year now? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yes, and only four of them are dual brand. Well, 5 if you count the ECW PPV, but that's something totally different.
Guest Monty Burns Posted November 27, 2005 Report Posted November 27, 2005 Yeah but if Angle doesn't win tonight he'd still be an obvious pick to put in the Elimination Chamber. Team Angle Pusher Posted November 27, 2005 Report Posted November 27, 2005 Not a surprise that they are having a Elimination Chamber match but where is Edge, he should be in this instead of Carlito. His injury is not THAT bad. Also Kurt Angle isn't in the match, he's probably facing someone like Shelton then. I'd rather have Masters in here instead of Carlito, or even Flair is better then Carlito.
Enigma Posted November 27, 2005 Report Posted November 27, 2005 Looks to me like title reign #11 for Trips.
cabbageboy Posted November 27, 2005 Report Posted November 27, 2005 Edge is not in it because NYR is the perfect time for him to cash in the Money in the Bank. Rumble is a bit too big of a show for Edge's title shot considering he has, you know, no heat. NYR is the perfect time to get the Money in the Bank off the books. What the hell, they might even use Edge as a transition guy to whomever at the Rumble. I don't see Flair on there because I'm thinking HHH will hurt him bad and he'll be selling an injury. But seriously, why else would Angle not be in the Chamber match unless he already had the belt and the others were fighting for #1 contender?
Team Angle Pusher Posted November 27, 2005 Report Posted November 27, 2005 Why should we even think Kane, Big Show, HBK and Carlito have a chance to win here. It's really all about HHH versus Cena and the others are just in this match to fill the chamber up. What they should do is have someone like Kane totally unexpected win the WWE Title and then he loses it after two weeks on RAW again but that doesn't matter. What matters is that "anything can happen in the WWE" So you think this is for the no.1 contendership and Kurt Angle is the WWE Champion and he's in the match before the Main Event or something. Who will he face then? Shelton...
