Dangerous A 0 Report post Posted December 13, 2005 Jay Lethal and Homicide were scheduled to start today at the TNA tapings. Lethal was scheduled against Joe, so that's a squash loss for sure. Homicide was to be in Konnan's new group, at least at some point. Lethal is pretty inconsequential in terms of TNA storylines. Not sure if Gabe Sopolsky is cool with Lethal potentially getting squashed by Joe, but it's alternate worlds. Homicide coming in rules my face though. My thing is I thought Homicide was seriously injured and out of action for at least a few weeks. Perhaps he just does an appearance or run in? Thoughts? Comments? Carnival 0 Report post Posted December 13, 2005 Good to see Homocide, I think he could get over very well in TNA. Lethal on the other hand....meh...just enhancement talent i guess.
Mecha Mummy 0 Report post Posted December 13, 2005 (edited) It'll be kind of weird to see Lethal get squashed by Joe mere weeks after he beat Joe in RoH. EDIT: And I'm guessing Homicide will just do a run-in or something since he was injured or something against Corino. I'd be interested to see how a Konnan/Homicide team worked out. Agreed on Lethal. I don't think he's even that great in ROH. He's young though and there is upside in him. Also, did you misspell Homicide's name? Homocide doesn't do it for me on many levels. Carnival 0 Report post Posted December 13, 2005 Also, did you misspell Homicide's name? Homocide doesn't do it for me on many levels. HA! That wasn't on purpose...but I will leave it. Lethal may be a good worker or whatever, but i don't really know if he can stick out, or just be another bland no-name dude. Now Homicide on the other hand....I think he's a great addition. Although I haven't seen much ROH, I've enjoyed Homicide. So what do you think they will do with him...tag? singles? X? heavy?

Joe is going to need fresh blood after the Daniels feud. They need to put Joe/Styles/Daniels on the shelf after another couple months or else it'll be reaching Paul Heyman levels of milking. RedJed 0 Report post Posted December 13, 2005 I think the Konnan-led gang heel squad is going to work really well. Homicide involved in a HUGE plus and I believe there was talk of Apolo being involved too as a sort of big man/bodyguard role in the faction. All in all, this would be be great fodder for not only an intial re-teaming of a NAO reunion against Konnan/Homicide but also Killings will be a big component here, as this hopefully all leads to him being as a strong solo act as a face, probably starting with him baiting Konnan at the tapings into leading him into a false sense of security and then turning on Konnan much like Konnan did to the "James Gang." From there, you then lead to Homicide coming in during the next show taping (lets assume Truth breaks away from Konnan at the show to air this Sat and then the next week Cide shows up) and then it just builds from there to likely a six man at the next ppv with Konnan/Cide/Apolo v. James Gang/Truth.
Adam 0 Report post Posted December 13, 2005 Awesome. I'm psyched for Homicide's debut. Pity Low Ki pissed off TNA management really, he and 'Cide in TNA could be awesome.

Who hasn't Low Ki pissed off? I mean, there are times I think Ki needs a serious attitude adjustment.

Downhome 0 Report post Posted December 14, 2005 I just read this over at PWInsider, about another guy making his debut, and it's pretty huge if you ask me: At tonight's TNA taping in Orlando, former WWE referee Earl Hebner made his debut for the company during a tag match between The Diamonds in the Rough and Team 3D. We will have more details on this story later tonight.
BUTT 0 Report post Posted December 14, 2005 What a smart signing! Seriously, this guy will not bring in any new viewers, and in my opinion, despite his notable status was never that good at what he did. Two thumbs down.

Guest TroughOfMantaur Report post Posted December 14, 2005 Out of interest, what did Ki actually do to get black balled from TNA? Last time Meltzer mentioned it in the Obsever, he said he didn't know what it was, but said that based on how he is viewed by TNA, it must have been bad. Silence 0 Report post Posted December 14, 2005 What a smart signing! Seriously, this guy will not bring in any new viewers, and in my opinion, despite his notable status was never that good at what he did. Two thumbs down. Exactly. Who is TNA going to sign next? Mark Jindrak? Christy Hemme? Joy Giovanni? Answer: Who fucking cares?! TNA needs to stop signing just anyone who's been released from WWE. BTW, I can almost expect Earl Hebner to fuck up some matches with the way he referees matches with his damn slow counts.
Carnival 0 Report post Posted December 14, 2005 I don't think they signed him with the intention of him bringing in new viewers. He's a Ref...maybe they needed a ref...done deal. That being said, I never thought he was that good either.

Downhome 0 Report post Posted December 14, 2005 Considering his ties with WWE, how long he was in the company, and all of the important events he has been a part of, I think it's fair to say it's a huge signing.
Astro101 0 Report post Posted December 14, 2005 The "former WWE star" was just watching the matches from what I've read in the spoilers. I dunno...I wanna see where this goes, though I agree that it won't bring any new viewers and I would've prefered for him not to be there at all.

He'll probably end up doing dick all for the company. Huge names don't always equate huge signings. Plus, everybody and their grandmother knows that Jarrett is going to recreate his version of Montreal using Hebner.
