Why do any of you still watch this shit? They don't wrestle and there's no entertainment in it. Less than a month after one of their best workers dies in a pretty tragic fashion they use his death as part of some angle (whatever it is I read about them blowing up his car or some shit) and now they do a suicide angle.

Do you enjoy repeatedly having your intelligence insulted, because I'd like to think that quite a few of you are smart enough to find this to be completely idiotic. At least you seem intelligent enough in other parts of this messageboard to be able to comprehend the constant stupidity that is the WWE.

The good workers still entertain me.

I was watching out of routine.

I did that for awhile too back around 2003. I broke the routine though as I figure "If they aren't going to actually wrestle anymore and instead are going to do garbage angle after garbage angle then I'm not even going to bother.". Its like wasting four hours of your life each and every week if you watch both of their shows.

Sadly, I watch out of routine. Then I kick myself after I yell at my TV for some stupid segment or transparent booking. Vince is destroying his company. I know it, you know it, every other smark knows it, and yet I still watch.

Chris Benoit's passion

Kurt Angle

Jamie Knoble

A few others.

I've been insulted by the WWE and the WWF for almost forever. I learnt a long time ago just to watch what I want to watch.

I stopped watching WWE (for now). Now I just read results.

I have enough access to TNA, ROH, NOAH and other indies that I don't need to put up with the WWE anymore. The suicide angle was the last straw...not because I was 'offended' by it or that it was in 'bad touch', but because it was completely pointless and had nothing to do with wrestling. It showed just how far things have fallen that somebody thought that would be a good idea.

Sadly, the good points no longer outweigh the bad anymore.

Velocity is a haven for the crusierweights, London and Kendrick are incredibly fun to watch.

This Best Of Seven is really good, I enjoy it anyway.

MNM are a great tag team, Nitro in particular is impressive.

Rey Misterio can have a good match with anyone.

I'm a Kurt Angle mark.

Guys like Chavo, Conway, Noble and Nova entertain me.

Again, Chris motherfucking Benoit.

It's enough for me, personally, so I enjoy what I want to and ignore the crap.

I find it entertaining.

I laughed at the suicide skit - and thats what it was - A SKIT!

If you're offended by anything the WWE does, go join your local PTC Chapter or something, and leave loyal fans like myself alone.

How the WWE can get shit on for running a PPV, but TNA gets away with running a BARBED WIRE match is beyond me

Well then let me help you break that cycle. I don't know what Time Zone you live in but this is what else is on during Raw in EST

9pm -

Packers vs Ravens on ABC

Radio Music Awards on NBC

Home Alone 2: Lost in New York on ABC Family (starting time is 8pm and runs right through Raw)

American Chopper on The Discovery Channel

Teen Thrill Killers on A&E

Then at 10pm you can switch over to Spike and watch UFC.

there are plenty of other better options if you're going to sit back infront of the boob-tube. Personally I'll probably check out the Teen Thrill Killers program and during commercials I'll flip it over to Monday Night Football.

I watch because it's remotely interesting but not really great. I forget every few weeks that RAW is back on USA and when I tune to Spike, they always advertise some movie is on next, and then I remember. But yes it is incredibly dull at the moment, can't wait for HHH to regain the title.

On a side note when I read the topic I thought this was going to be a 'was there a ppv last night?' thread

From a business perspective, Vince should always be asking the following two questions:

1. How can we maintain the current fanbase (who in turn, pay money for stuff)?

2. How can we increase our fanbase either with new fans or returning old fans (who will also pay money for stuff)?

Things like the Diva search, in theory (though not in execution), could have been justifed under such criteria. Things like this, however, cannot be justified in any manner.

Vince is essentially legit insane though, so what does it matter?

They can run all the PPVs they want, but I would think people would want to see wrestling (and a good Barbed Wire Match is a part of that) then a skit that served no point and was pretty tasteless too (considering many, many people do actually commit suicide around the holidays) for $30+ dollars.

There are also kids that watch the PPVs too and while we know the whole thing was a skit and was fake the little kids watching it at home or in the building don't, which brings up another "What the hell were they thinking?" point.

Its now at the point where its basically a version of the day time soap opera "Passions" except with very muscular men.

Tivo is a wonderful machine. I fast forward through matches that start to suck or I know suck as well as stupid skits that go no where. If it hadn't been for Tivo, I wouldn't watch. I cannot sit and watch the current product without having the option to fast forward.

About the suicide angle. It was dumb. It wasn't offensive, but it wasn't entertaining either. They've burned out all their shock and controversy. It's sad and pathetic to watch Vince and Co. basically act like children screaming up and down for us to pay attention to them because they are doing something taboo.

It's old and tired. Again, I fast forward through crap and watch the good stuff. Takes me roughly 15-20 minutes to burn through a Raw or SD now.

If I hear someone one more time say "is (or was) there a PPV tonight (or last night)?" I am personally gonna come to their house, beat the daylights out of them and than force them to watch a million WWE skits one right after the other.

Try to be cool some other way guys.

Actually, ROH has shown me that wrestling can be worse and is another reason why I can still watch some of the WWE.

Why the bad vibes? Perhaps it's a commentary on how poorly promoted the PPV was.

While they're basically the same thing, Diahrea is worse than Shit yet I still wouldn't want any Shit because its better than the Diahrea.

If I want to watch WRESTLING - I'll watch Benoit and Booker, thanks. And I'd rather expose my kids to Steph Mc Mahon's sense of humour, rather than a disgusting garbage match that doesn't belong on a North American PPV. I'd prefer to be able to explain the concept of suicide to someone, rather than explain why two idiots are fighting in barbd wirre

Ditto. I stopped watching regularly back in 2002. I've caught maybe 15-20 episodes of RAW max since then. I usually just read the results and comment on what happened. :P

Is this the best TV has to offer. :(

I watch because every once in awhile they'll do something good. I thought the Raw a few weeks ago was good. I like watching Angle and HBK and... well those two every week. I mean it's not something where I'll sit down and be glued to the TV set. For me Raw is also homework time or study time. And I'll just look up if I hear someone I care about it or something interesting happening.

Billy, the reason that man painted the walls with his brains is because the Cell REALLY is Hell. "Get it", Billy? :D

I only read the results, and the only time I'll go out of my why to watch something is when it sounds so hilarious that I must (Suicide angle, Eddie's car, JR's ass). Those are the only times that I have fun watching WWE. Luckily there has been many more incidencts like these in recent months. Keep it up, WWE.
