At the very least the visuals should be spectacular. By the way, Gibson drops an anti-bush comment out of nowhere, which raised an eyebrow considering how the christian right seemed to embrace him over Passion. bobobrazil1984 0 Report post Posted December 10, 2006 Saw this tonight. It was actually really good. Less "pretentious" than I expected for some reason, actually. It's mostly an action-thriller movie, A well-made chase movie. Lots of gore (but not as much as it was hyped up to have, it's really not worse than your average "Saw" film), the entire 3rd act is, in a way, very Predator-ish. Jungle chases, jungle hunts, badass killing, that sort of thing. I liked it. The movie isn't even about the Mayans except in some vague under-current way.
