benoit4hor Posted December 22, 2005 Report Posted December 22, 2005 Now that TNA is running "The War" angle it appears the heel side will be Team Jarrett, AMW, Team Canada, Monty Brown, & Abyss. against the face side of Team 3D, Sting, Rhino, & Christian. Thats 8 on 5. Who's gonna join the face side? I can see them adding AJ in the group but it kinda goes against the whole "newcomer" thing. Perhaps Charlie Haas? I wouldn't mind them throwing Austin Aries in there to give him a feud/angle and help establish him as a player. I can see him and Petey feuding and he's rather new. I don't see Joe getting involved he'll probably feud with Daniels for awhile. Any thoughts?
Zack Malibu Posted December 23, 2005 Report Posted December 23, 2005 I could see Raven wind up on the face side.
Matt Young Posted December 23, 2005 Report Posted December 23, 2005 I was just thinking about this earlier. War Games: Sting, Christian Cage, Rhino, & Team 3D vs. Jeff Jarrett, Monty Brown, Abyss, & AMW. Make it happen, TNA.
razazteca Posted December 23, 2005 Report Posted December 23, 2005 There are so many possiblities where this "war" can go I just hope that it last longer than 4 weeks.
Guest Coffey Posted December 23, 2005 Report Posted December 23, 2005 Joe is gonna play the "lone wolf" role.
Epic Reine Posted December 23, 2005 Report Posted December 23, 2005 I was just thinking about this earlier. War Games: Sting, Christian Cage, Rhino, & Team 3D vs. Jeff Jarrett, Monty Brown, Abyss, & AMW. Make it happen, TNA. If that match happens on PPV, it makes for a pretty shitty undercard.
razazteca Posted December 23, 2005 Report Posted December 23, 2005 (edited) Being out numbered I think using the mystery partner angle should be used here. Both the announcers should play up to the fact that the Planett Jarrett has the advantage of numbers. During every match featuring Team 3D, Sting, Rhino, Christian, Tenay & West should speculate who is on their side. And whenever Planett Jarett has a match the announcers should speculate who hates them enough to join the other side. And there needs to be more Jeff Jarrett rants of "WELL TENAY WHO IS IT" with Tenay replying with "Well I'm not *random* cop/lawer tv character reference every week" and Don West needs to go on his crazy mark out moments with him losing his voice everytime somebody new shows interest in helping one side or the other......or they can rehire Tony Shaivonie. As for the wrestlers who I think should get involve are: Raven cause he hates the "management" i.e. Larry Zybrisco, Ron Killings or Konnan so they can split away from the James Gang, Samoa Joe due to the fact nobody can stop him other than the "politicians" or somebody who can look good in a match against Abyss and/or Monty. Guest Happy Go Nowhere Posted December 23, 2005 Report Posted December 23, 2005 Homicide. I've got no well thought out reason for this, I'd just like to see him attack Jarrett with a fork.
Guest Coffey Posted December 23, 2005 Report Posted December 23, 2005 Jeff Jarrett, Abyss, Monty Brown, James Storm, Chris Harris, Petey Williams, Bobby Roode, A1 & Eric Young with Gail Kim, James Mitchell & Scott D'Amore are all of Team Jarrett, right? Jesus, it looks like the face team is gonna need more than three dudes.
razazteca Posted December 23, 2005 Report Posted December 23, 2005 Hey why not put 80% of the company in the angle just like the nWo was in WCW.
Failed Bridge Posted December 23, 2005 Report Posted December 23, 2005 This is where offering the world to Chris Jericho for him to sign would make a ton of sense.
bob_barron Posted December 23, 2005 Report Posted December 23, 2005 Just b/c they offer the world to Jericho doesn't mean he'll say yes
Dobbs 3K Posted December 23, 2005 Report Posted December 23, 2005 Well, supposedly Jericho has claimed he's loyal to WWE, but apparently he is not under contract. I have a hard time believing he'd turn down a decent amount of money to come in to TNA as a main eventer and work fewer dates than in WWE. He has also stated in interviews that he enjoys watching TNA Impact...so who knows? It doesn't seem as impossible as say, Goldberg or the Rock coming in.
Guest JMA Posted December 23, 2005 Report Posted December 23, 2005 Does Jarrett's stable (with AMW and Gail) even have a name?
RedJed Posted December 23, 2005 Report Posted December 23, 2005 I believe TNA has a Monday Night slot for mid Feb IIRC - perfect time for War Games possibly?? Lets hope so as that would be a good idea to impliment in that timeslot. Otherwise if they hold off on the obvious (War Games) for Lockdown, thats ALOT of waiting, til April. Raven most definately should be on the face side, in the least. Killings wouldnt be a bad idea either. Monte Brown might be the guy that is set up as the tweener who ends up going to the other side at some point. We will see but this is actually not a bad angle for TNA standards as they have a solid direction in the upper card right now with this.
Scroby Posted December 24, 2005 Report Posted December 24, 2005 Hey why not put 80% of the company in the angle just like the nWo was in WCW. Not a big enough timeslot plus I think TNA needs to get away from the "hey its WCW" slogan. I think Raven should be the lone wolf in the sitution. Raven shold claim that no one in TNA weather it be TNA's office or Jarrett or anyone else wanted Raven to be the champion so he is just going to go after anyone who just stands in his way face or heel. I could possibly see Killings joining the face team if he can break away from the Konnan vs the new age outlaws gimmick, maybe also Sabu.
Guest Jota Posted December 26, 2005 Report Posted December 26, 2005 Didn't they have Diamonds in the Rough with Jarrett too?

Its more like Saturday "Da Muthaship" Nite with WWF-lite flavor besides its going to be hard to break away from the stigma of WCW afterall what other company can it be compared to? The company is based in the South, has former WCW talent as champion and announcer, has Ron Killings as Booker T Jr., and its on Saturday night! When I think of marketable people within the TNA company I always think of Raven and Killings. Even though Raven has been half assing it the past few months he still oozes more charisma and personality than most in TNA. Ron Killings seems to be busy with the 4LK splitup angle but when he does break away from 4LK I think he should get involved with the face team. As for Sabu...well he can continue to have hardcore matches with the big guys.
USC Wuz Robbed! Posted December 26, 2005 Report Posted December 26, 2005 The War, who's in it? Well... Elijah Wood .... Stuart 'Stu' Simmons Kevin Costner .... Stephen Simmons Mare Winningham .... Lois Simmons Lexi Randall .... Lidia Simmons LaToya Chisholm .... Elvadine, Lidia's Best Friend Christopher Fennell .... Billy Lipnicki Donald Sellers .... Arliss Lipnicki Leon Sills .... Leo Lipnicki Will West .... Lester Lucket Brennan Gallagher .... Marsh, Stu's Friend Adam Henderson .... Chet, Stu's Friend Charlette Julius .... Amber, Lidia's Friend Jennifer Tyler .... Ula Lipnicki Lucas Black .... Ebb Lipnicki Justin Lucas .... Willard Lipnicki Thereya go.
benoit4hor Posted December 27, 2005 Author Report Posted December 27, 2005 Lets just all hope it's not gonna be Lance Hoyt who joins the face side.

How do you figure? It'd free up a bunch of Pay Per View space for the X-Division guys. If it happened in the next few months.. With that match we could have... WAR GAMES Christian, Sting, Rhino, Team 3D v. Jarrett, Monty, Abyss, AMW - 50 minutes. (4 minutes intervals) Sonjay Dutt v. Petey Williams - 15 Minutes. AJ Styles v. Alex Shelley - 15 Minutes. Roderick Strong & Austin Aries v. Chris Sabin & Matt Bentley - 15 minutes. Samoa Joe v. Christopher Daniels - 25 minutes. Raven v. Mystery Opponent (Sabu) - 9 minutes Killings & Konnan v. Kip James & BG James - 5 minutes Then on the Pre-Show; Eric Young & Bobby Roode v. The Naturals - 6 minutes. Shark Boy & Amazing Red v. Elix Skipper & David Young w/ Simon Diamond - 4 minutes. That would leave you with about 45 minutes for Video packages, New Angles, Backstage Skits. And potentially you have 5 matches pretty much garunteed to be ***+, and 3 of those could be ****+ Raven v. Sabu could be a good street fight too. The 4 Live Kru stuff would be kept short and inoffensive. Edited December 28, 2005 by natey2k4

Guest Coffey Posted December 28, 2005 Report Posted December 28, 2005 Why put Bobby Roode on the pre-show and have shitty-ass Sonjay Dutt on the PPV? At least Roode can work.
