Guest Smues Posted January 7, 2006 Report Posted January 7, 2006 Still 17-3 Washington but Tampa has all the momentum right now and I don't see this lead lasting very long. Especially with Portis hurt.
Guest Smues Posted January 7, 2006 Report Posted January 7, 2006 What the fuck was that? Pittman hits Taylor and Taylor gets hit with the unsportsman like conduct flag? umm, BULLSHIT.
AboveAverage484 Posted January 7, 2006 Report Posted January 7, 2006 Yeah, what the fuck is that shit about? Pittman should be thrown out of the game, he threw a punch.
Guest Smues Posted January 7, 2006 Report Posted January 7, 2006 Taylor was EJECTED??? WHAT THE HOLy FUCK??? What the hell could he have said that was so bad that they ignore Pittman hitting him?
Guest Smues Posted January 7, 2006 Report Posted January 7, 2006 Aha officials say he spit at Pittman. If that's the case then I guess it's all justified. And if he did way to hurt your own team asshole.
Guest Smues Posted January 8, 2006 Report Posted January 8, 2006 And Mark Brunell might have just thrown the game away. Not that it was all his fault, that was a great pick.
Guest Smues Posted January 8, 2006 Report Posted January 8, 2006 Wow I, and everyone in the stadium, thought that was a TD. They even shot off fireworks. Redskins catch a break there that he didn't hold on. Â Edit: Well they catch a break if the play is upheld, which I'm thinking it will be.
Spaceman Spiff Posted January 8, 2006 Report Posted January 8, 2006 Good call, as the WR never had complete control of the ball.
Guest Smues Posted January 8, 2006 Report Posted January 8, 2006 Play upheld, Tampa goes 0-2 on challenges and is now out of timeouts. If they don't get at least a 1st down here they'll be in big trouble.
Guest Smues Posted January 8, 2006 Report Posted January 8, 2006 Sims overthrows his man in the endzone and the Skins get it on downs. Huzzah.
Guest Smues Posted January 8, 2006 Report Posted January 8, 2006 And Tampa catches a break since the Skins had to snap the ball 3 seconds before the 2 minute warning so they can't drain more clock. Assuming no 1st down for Washington Tampa will get the ball with like 1:20 to play. I'm fearing a long quick touchdown drive from Tampa.
Guest Smues Posted January 8, 2006 Report Posted January 8, 2006 A 14 yard punt? Wow that's going to bite them in the ass more than likely.
Guest Smues Posted January 8, 2006 Report Posted January 8, 2006 Never mind, interception and that'll do it. Â 17-10 Redskins win. Huzzah for having one game go the way I wanted incase the others don't. I know the Patriots are winning tonight, so at least I get this one.
Slayer Posted January 8, 2006 Report Posted January 8, 2006 Washington goes to Seattle next week and the NY-Carolina winner goes to Chicago
Damaramu Posted January 8, 2006 Report Posted January 8, 2006 Well I do enjoy seeing Christy Simms go down in flames but it sucks that the Redskins advance. Who will they likely play? Maybe Christy thought he saw Roy Williams or Teddy Lehman rushing in and he got scared? Is the Simms experiment over? Is Gruden going to bring Mack Brown in to make excuses for him?
2GOLD Posted January 8, 2006 Report Posted January 8, 2006 Nice battle of the defenses there. Shame the Bucs D gives up 3 points and loses the game. That Seattle-Washington game is gonna be fun. I also like it the match-up also matches the game's location. Â Simms still blows. Glad to see he lived up to my expectations of him. Still can't throw a ball over a big defensive line.
snuffbox Posted January 8, 2006 Report Posted January 8, 2006 Simms had a fine game. Both picks were off deflected passes and that second-to-last throw to the endzone was perfect.

iggymcfly Posted January 8, 2006 Report Posted January 8, 2006 Chris Simms: 25-39 for 198 yards with 0 TDs and 3 INTs  Hmm, why does this not surprise me.  I wish I still had money in my sports betting account this morning, because asking "will Chris Simms lose his first playoff game" is like asking "will the sun come up tomorrow". Might have been the biggest lock in NFL history.
therealworldschampion Posted January 8, 2006 Report Posted January 8, 2006 Everyone and their brother(including me) has probably taken a Redskins/Pats parlay, so expect the Jags to win...
Damaramu Posted January 8, 2006 Report Posted January 8, 2006 It'd have been funnier if Gruden brought Major Applewhite out of retirement and sent him into the game for the comeback win.
LaParkaYourCar Posted January 8, 2006 Report Posted January 8, 2006 I'm surprised they haven't been calling this Superbowl "Extra Large".

Failed Bridge Posted January 8, 2006 Report Posted January 8, 2006 Major Applewhite is actually the QB coach of Syracuse now I believe. Â Nice pooch punt by Vinatieri.
RepoMan Posted January 8, 2006 Report Posted January 8, 2006 Major Applewhite is actually the QB coach of Syracuse now I believe. You are correct.
Failed Bridge Posted January 8, 2006 Report Posted January 8, 2006 John Henderson looks like a black version of that tall guy with the nail in his head in the movie Happy Gilmore.
