I missed the WR debate a couple of pages ago in this thread, but as a Redskins fan, let me tell you something else about Santana Moss that I didn't know before last season, that makes him a Top WR.

His ability to adjust to poorly thrown balls.

I can't count how many times last season that Brunell underthrew him, threw to his wrong shoulder etc....but Moss had the coordination to either adjust his speed or adjust his route, come down with the ball and then somehow manage to get a lot of YAC. Not to mention the catch in the Playoffs vs. Seattle that bounced off of a defenders helmet, and Moss held onto the catch.

As far as TO goes. His ability is top notch, no doubt. however he is a lockerroom cancer. He didn't do squat vs. The Redskins D as an Eagle, and assuming Sean Taylor gets through his court business without having to do any time, then it is safe to say the Skins secondary is better now then the last couple of years, so I am not worried about TO/Glenn/Crayton.

I am sure the same script will play out this season. The Cowboys will start out 3-0 or 4-0. TO will have had huge games in each game. The TO signing will be hailed a success. Then in a tough game against a good defense, a crucial 3rd down will come up late in the game, and Bledsoe will revert to being Drew Bledsore and horribly overthrow the ball, or one-hop skip it to TO, and the walls will come crumbling down. I can't wait for the 10000 camera shots to the sideline of TO jawing into Bledsoe's ear.

Well, it will be make or break for TO. I mean, he's torn up pussies like Garcia and McNabb, and now he's at the other end of the spectrum because Bledsoe will get right back in your face and curse the shit out of you. He did it with Keyshawn time after time.

Given the fact it took all of two days for TO to make an ass out of himself again (the book, the rap) I think the idea he is going to change is silly. If you are one of his new teammates, how do you trust him and not just think you are just fodder for his next book?

Playing on a broken fucking ankle and scoring 4 touchdown's, is pretty damn tough to me.

And coming from a guy who's met Jeff Garcia more then once, he's far from a pussy.

Maybe the Jets will use that 29th pick to trade for another mediocre TE.

BTW I agree with whoever said it was a great move for Vinatieri to move to an indoor team. It will prolong his career.

Yeah, the Saints can make out well if a deal like that happens. Because really if they only move down to #4, pretty much all of the top guys that are around would be a good fit (D'Brick if still there, Williams, Hawk) and to add an extra pick at the bottom is just gravy.

Randy Moss is the best, in my eyes (when he's healthy) not only for the obvious reasons, but I've never seen a throw to him picked off, unless it's totally, totally fucked up. The guy's an octopus, he has 3 hands on the ball when it's a bad throw.

I love Randy Moss, but the guy's injury problems have really limited him the last two seasons. Hopefully he'll be rested up and all good this year, but if he isn't then he's just a chronic injury concern and won't break any of Rice's records.

I kind of really hope that someone like Vince Young drops to the Raiders just so teams will have to key on someone other than Randy and free up some room downfield.

Then again, won't matter much if the Raiders defense still sucks ass.

RE: New England "turning" on players when they leave. It depends on how they leave & why they leave. Antoine Walker is still beloved around here; Joe Thornton is pretty popular still; Ricky Davis will probably get some love if/when he returns as a visiting player; Ray Bourque was given louder cheers as a visiting member of the Avalanche than the entire Bruins organization was the day he came back. Even Bledsoe still gets some love from the local fans.

The above all either left the right way or left against their wishes.

Someone like Milloy got trashed because he slammed the organization on the way out. Same with Ty Law. Damon will catch hell more for going to the Yankees than for leaving Boston, really. And people like Jason Allison got shelled upon their return because it was all about the $$$ for them. My guess is that the reaction upon Vinatieri's return will be based more about how he acts & what he says in the coming days.

I don't think his on-field physical toughness was being questioned. His being pushed around by TO, without doing much to defend himself or put TO in his place was being questioned. I might be wrong, though.

I think you are along the right train of thought there, but I don't see how getting into a pissing contest would have helped anything.

The real problem is that Trotter and Dawkins (especially Trotter), the more emotional leaders on the team, became friends with TO. They are the ones who should have been getting in his face if there was a problem because if TO gets pissy at them, who cares, they don't play with him. McNabb should have been the one that got to play his friend, because they needed to have the working relationship.

McNabb did the adult thing, and ignored TO's childish temper tatrums. Why throw more fire in the fuel?

Look how much of a pussy TO looked when Andy Reid sent him home. Him and Drew Rosenhaus looked like they were going to hug each other and starting crying on each others shoulder.

McNabb could careless about TO and just wants to move on and take the Eagles to the playoffs again, and I think he will.

He's going to miss a game tying field goal in the playoffs.

That would be hilarious. I can almost see Peyton's hang dog face now :D

WHAT?

Actually, it should read "and start crying" not "starting crying" or "started crying."

Christ, people. You are all stupid fucks, and given the appropriate opportunity, I will destroy you all.

LOL, you guys take grammar to serious! It's just a fuckin message board post, not a college essay for christ sake. Lighten up, and get use to it, because I am a very lazy typer and don't re-read what I type. So get off my dick, and stop hatin. I'm sure you guys got better things to do in your life, then hang me for my grammar.

No. I know Irvin's a crackhead. He asked my brother if he was holding, in a Miami bar about four days before he got arrested one of those times in the late 90's.

Your dismissal of people who know how to properly compose their thoughts is what upsets me.

I don't dismiss no one. I'm a really fast and lazy typer which accounts for my bad grammar and sometimes spelling. I'm sure I'm not the only one.

I'm sorry if my grammar is really making you angry, but if that's the case then you really need to get outside more.

Vince Young ran a 40 yard dash in 4.58, which is slower then except. Although I don't think this really matters, because speed you will be running in a game will be faster then a stupid test run.

But overall according to scouts, Young had an impressive workout.
