Well, now we know why the Rumble match got shuffled to the middle.

 

Im guessing Taker's now magically a heel, and he'll win the title to give us Mysterio/Taker for the Title as well as the whole Undefeated streak at WM on the line for Taker as well.

 

How is Taker a heel; Angle had to cheat multiple times to beat Mark Henry. All Taker (who I hate, though) did was show he wants the title. Seems they're trying to make Angle a "win at any costs heel". Confusing....

First of all let me say I feel terrible for Edge, who after having one of the better title wins in recent memory, raised ratings on RAW each week he was the champion, including the highest rating since 2004's draft lottery last week. For all intents and purpose, his career is basically over, because he'll never be seen as a serious threat after this.

 

I don't understand the point of Rey winning, who does he face now? It looks like they're building to Angle vs. 'Taker at WM, and likely Cena vs. HHH on RAW.

Angle vs. Rey as the WM main event is gonna be fucking sweet. Their Summerslam match 4 years ago was fucking great. Plus, if Rey wins it, he'll be the 5th member of the SD6 to win a world title.

Rey isn't fighting Angle for the title at WM. It's going to be Angle v Orton

Taker/Angle at the next PPV (it is a SD PPV, right?). Mark Henry costs Taker the title, trying to get at Angle, and that leads to Angle/Rey or Orton at WM, and Henry/Taker as well.

 

I think it's plain to see that Taker is the reason that Rey's big win got pushed to the midcard. I'm not bashing Taker or anything, I'm just saying that since they wanted to do that "magical" stuff, it had to close the show.

 

Because they HAD to destroy the ring like that, it was the only way to get Taker over in his return.

I think they were just trying to get over how Mark Henry is such a "beast" that he cannot be defeated cleanly.

 

Who knows though, I mean really, the writing is such a clusterfuck right now that it's impossible to tell.

The horse was a Chariot which fit the Roman theme of the Rumble.

 

And he did the little thing with his hands to cause lightning to hit the 4 ring posts...followed by a slight delay and then the ropes fell off and the ring partially collapsed and Tazz said "Oh ShitBleep"

Angle won with a roll up, and pulling the tights. Then the Undertaker came out, blew some stuff up (Ring, ring posts and what not), did the signature "I want the belt" signal and then left.

A note about Angle/Henry:

 

The built it up to where Angle just couldn't beat Henry. He went for his finishers, but could never get the win. They had a ref bump, then Kurt gave Henry two fucking stiff chairshots right to the head, but Henry kicked out. Kurt then exposed the middle turnbuckle, Henry took the dive into the steel, and Angle went for a school boy pin, holding the tights and I think the ropes as well.

 

Angle did get the win, but Henry looked very strong in the match.

 

That said...it wasn't a good match at all. Angle was working his ass off, running around, but Henry really looked lost tonight. It was easily his worse outing since his comeback if you ask me.

In regards if they do decide to screw Mysterio over in regards to the Wrestlemania title shot in favor of Orton, here is the smark worst case scenario:

 

RKO will bitch or find some way to get a No 1. contender's match.

 

It becomes Randy vs. Rey at No Way Out

 

Orton wins when Booker finally pays back the favor and interferes.

 

Creative will lamely make it up to Mysterio with a US Title match against Booker at Wrestlemania.

 

Mysterio wins, with some dedication to Eddie which won't seem to be worth all that much.

 

We'll be stuck with Angle vs. Orton in the main.

 

But just speculation on my part.

Now how they'll come up with an angle where Rey would be stupid enough to put his title shot on the line against Orton I'm not sure.
