AntiLeaf33 Posted January 9, 2006 Report Posted January 9, 2006 I can't believe I'm the first one to say this but I know who could feud with Edge. The guy that created the money in the bank, and was good friends with Edge before he was "fired" and that man is Chris Jericho. That would be a great fued, but if they have the pay off match in the states you may hear crickets criping during it
CanadianChick Posted January 9, 2006 Report Posted January 9, 2006 What? Edge is over as a heel and Jericho is over as a face in the States. Why would crickets be chirping? Weird comment that was. Anywho, I don't want to see Edge versus HHH or Cena at Wrestlemania for the title. I don't think I will either, because I don't think Edge will have the title that long. Oh, pestmistic me. But hey, I'll enjoy this reign while I can.
AndrewTS Posted January 9, 2006 Report Posted January 9, 2006 So wait, does the board endorse Edge, then? Because last I checked he was heatless, around Lita, and gave really bad interviews where HE....WAS...SO...MAD!!!!.......YARGH! Don't worry, I don't like him either. He can't be holding the title that long, though...

But hey, I'll enjoy this reign while I can. Yeah, that was a bit of a weird comment now that I think of it. Jericho was really getting over at the end of his last run and was getting mad pops. As for EDGE, I love seeing him as Champ, but it's going to be interseting to see how he composes himself as champ in the coming weeks.
Angle-plex Posted January 10, 2006 Report Posted January 10, 2006 There are WrestleMania calibur matches for the WWE Title of Edge vs anyone. He's probably going to lose the title before then.
Enigma Posted January 10, 2006 Report Posted January 10, 2006 Yeah, that was a bit of a weird comment now that I think of it. Jericho was really getting over at the end of his last run and was getting mad pops. As for EDGE, I love seeing him as Champ, but it's going to be interseting to see how he composes himself as champ in the coming weeks. So naturally, WWE turned him heel against Cena.
Matt Young Posted January 10, 2006 Report Posted January 10, 2006 I mentioned earlier how cool Edge was and posted the pic of me with him. For those who don't remember, that same day at E3, I was returning to the line after getting Stacy's autograph and a picture with her, when Edge (with 2 security escorts) walked up right behind me. I had a brief conversation with him (as in 30 seconds) but he was very polite and glad to speak to a fan. The guy is a true class act toward the fans. I had meant to take these pictures months ago, but here are photos of my copyof Edge's book with the picture he signed for me, and the autograph nside of my book:
Hunter's Torn Quad Posted January 12, 2006 Report Posted January 12, 2006 For those interested, the decision to put the belt on Edge was made Saturday, and Cena didn't find out about it until he got to the arena on Sunday.

The funny thing is if it was a veteran like the Taker, he would have said, "not feeling it" and held the belt til Mania. While if it was Austin, he would have just left with the belt and been in Texas getting hammered. Cena's a team player. He'll regret that someday.
Hoff Posted January 12, 2006 Report Posted January 12, 2006 Yeah, being a team player never got anyone anywhere. Just ask The Rock... If you're over, you're over, and if you're good you're good, belt or no belt. Cena'll live.

If Cena hadn't been half assing it for the last six months or so, this wouldn't be an issue. And please, lets not just knee-jerk blame this on Vince and the writers. The fans saw how Cena's ringwork had fallen apart.

The fans turned on him because of how stale he became and how phony he really was.

St. Gabe Posted January 12, 2006 Report Posted January 12, 2006 With the on the fly booking we have seen in the past week, is it safe to say that Mania is pretty much up in the air?
Lil' Bitch Posted January 12, 2006 Report Posted January 12, 2006 Like somebody else said, I also think Cena regains it back at the Rumble and they still go through with Cena / Helmsley at Mania or a possible Edge / Cena / HHH triple threat match.
Guest Dam(o)nYankees Posted January 12, 2006 Report Posted January 12, 2006 The Raw and Rumble websites are hinting that McMahon may strip Cena of the shot for interupting Edge. I guess Edge/Flair is a possibility at the Rumble.
randomguy Posted January 13, 2006 Report Posted January 13, 2006 I just saw the end of NYR and I marked out hard, it was very well done. And logical, which is something WWE is bad at doing. It's rare to see a storyline come to a logical conclusion.
Guest InuYasha Posted January 14, 2006 Report Posted January 14, 2006 I don't think them having Edge be a pussy champ is going to work out, at all. Even HHH actually fought his own fights. Yeah, he'd always use the sledgehammer, but he didn't always run away like a pussy. Good Lord, now Vince has got me defending HHH? FUCK!

Oh please, Vince IS limiting Cena's moves so that the fans would mark out for all of his "spots."
Dr. Zaius Posted January 16, 2006 Report Posted January 16, 2006 I quit watching for a month and look what happens. The 2 champs everyone thought would hold the belts through WM are both replaced. I should've quit watching back in June.
