Out of all the choices on Smackdown I think going with Angle is actually better - I'd love to see Rey as the World champion, but with a proper build to it, a title chase and all

 

As for the rest of Smackdown? Sure a few people would be okay - but Angle is more than "Okay" he brings credibility to the part and good wrestling to boot.

 

Kudos to the WWE for thinking outside of the Smackdown roster in this "Shit we got to do something and NOW!" situation.

Fine, your opinion. But what significance does it bare when you dont even watch wrestling? Angle is a better choice then all the title holders through 2005-which were only 3. People buy him more as a champion then either Batista or Cena and he puts on better matches. It's better then being stuck in a hopeless main event card on RAW putting over worthless bums like Carlito and Masters who have no business in such a high devision.

 

I will also hold TNA to your opinion, but I am right. You should try it sometime.

I just watched SD! (Over here we get it a day ebfore you guys) and I was dissappointed with the showdown between Lashley and Henry. Henry completly dominated him in their little showdown. I could understand if it was somebody worth protecting, like the Big Show, but I found it incredibly stupid to protect Henry by having him no sell Lashley when they are trying to build Lashley up.

Sad to hear that about Lashley. I haven't seen all his matches so perhaps someone can correct me but one would think WWE is THRILLED to have a hoss on the roster who is far from a clutz and seems to know what he's doing out there. Then, they have one of the top 3 clumsiest guys on the roster squash him. Hopefully, it's not as bad as indicated.

 

I don't know how hard it is to have Lashley somewhat easily handle Henry before making a "rookie" mistake and have Henry give him the ol' backdrop over the top spot.

It's questionable to say that Angle was the "best" option in terms of who could have been brought over to Smackdown (Hunter and Shawn would have been just as significant). The problem with Angle returning to Smackdown is he just left Smackdown a few months ago. While his character has been tweaked, he hasn't changed all that much and despite the lost of Batista and Eddie, Smackdown is still the same show. In fact, the lone difference is that Booker T is a heel now.

 

Angle was getting lost in the Raw shuffle and this will allow him to be the focus of the show, which is what he wants in addition to a world title reign.

 

While the quality can be found for Angle on Smackdown with Benoit, JBL, Mysterio, Taker, Hardy, The cruisers (Knoble, London, Kendrick, Nunzio) and Orton... it's still limited.

 

Shawn could have been a fresh breath for the show as he has been on Raw since the start and him winning the title could have offered more for Smackdown because that opens alot of potential.

 

The verdict on Angle's move to smackdown can't be determined until a month or so when we can get a clear view of the intentions behind this decision.

He was drafted to RAW. He had just finished a "beastiality" angle with Booker T's wife. He said he wanted to have Beastiality sex with her or something like that. It was a really dumb storyline.

Angle had almost zero direction on Smackdown after the Mania program with Shawn had briefly expired and was lumped into a idiotic feud with Booker T involving his urges to have primal sex with Sharmell.

 

To make things worse, the matches weren't worth nothing and it was a complete waste of Angle's time and value.

Angle reportedly voiced his displeasure with the decision noting the sacrifices he's made, how hard he has worked within the past year and not having all that many years left. Then two nights later they give Kurt the World Championship on Smackdown.

 

I don't buy into the "Kurt death list" stories although I don't think he has that many years left career wise. This is also the same company that put him in roles like the GM and the hometown challenge angle to limit his wrestling time just to basically make him slow down his pace. Has anybody noticed the changes in his physique since Eddie's passing though?

The new World Heavyweight Champion Kurt Angle and Shawn Michaels have had some of the best matches in WWE history. They are considered two of the best all-around performers that the sports-entertainment industry has ever seen. They delivered an instant-classic at WrestleMania 21, and Angle walked away with the first victory in what would turn out to be an extended rivalry.

 

Their match at WrestleMania was an interpromotional one, but after Angle was drafted to RAW in the Draft Lottery, it was just a matter of time before they locked horns again. The rematch was at Vengeance, and while the match was another classic, the result was different as HBK picked up the big win.

 

Mr. McMahon then put a smile on every WWE fans’ faces when he announced a third match between the two for the big WWE Homecoming last October. To make things even more interesting, though, he made the rubber match a 30-Minute WWE Iron Man Match. The two battled to the point of exhaustion for 30 minutes, and in the end, they both scored two falls apiece, and the match was ruled a draw.

 

After HBK and Angle had a falling out during a tag team match on RAW, Mr. McMahon thought it would be the perfect time for HBK vs. Angle IV. And who could argue? Don’t miss RAW Monday night in what is sure to be another instant classic between these two amazing competitors.

 

Plus, what ramifications will there be after John Cena interrupted Edge and Lita’s live sex session on RAW? Earlier in the evening, Mr. McMahon had told Cena that if he got involved in the “session” he would lose his right to a rematch for the WWE Championship at the Royal Rumble. Did Cena inadvertently cost himself a shot at regaining the gold?

And Kane, Chavo Guerrero and Shelton Benjamin all qualified for the Royal Rumble. It was also announced that Rob Van Dam would make his big return to the squared circle in the Royal Rumble Match. Who else will qualify for the Royal Rumble? Tune in to Monday Night RAW at 9/8 CT on the USA Network to find out.
