Angle was lucky Mizark's fat ass didn't land on his face right there. That was dangerously close to being another high profile injury.

Why would they bring up Henry's Olympics? No really. Gold Medalist vs...

Henry killed him. Mark Henry just killed Kurt Angle. All that fat landed on his neck.

Tazz is referencing Lets Go Angle chants that have been muted out.

You can tell how unplanned this was... Angle looks like he's wrestling in high-tops...

Nah those are the boots Kurt normally uses with his Bizarro World tights I think.

I haven't noticed. And there I was thinking I was all observent. But how about that German? Ow...

I bet that was just unreal being there live, that was great.

Maybe I can't blame WWE for posting the spoiler on WWE.com after all. Since so many people here knew about it, this thread went to five pages, and that hasn't happened in ages. I wonder if that will work in the ratings as well.

That almost got botched..

If it did, they would have called it a tie and restarted from Henry/Angle.

Y'know, I don't mind Angle as champ, but the crowd looked kinda tame on that ending, and I don't think they muted it that badly. Y'know what would have gotten a huge pop? Rey Mysterio. But we won't see that. Because it's silly.

I can't really think of a more deserving world champion at the moment. After spending the fall and half of the winter jobbing left and right to John Cena, that was a good reward for Angle. I think it would've been more of a feel good moment of the year if Mysterio had won, but hopefully that will come in due time. Make it happen at Wrestlemania, WWE!

Mizark actually saved the match there. He deflected Kurt's foot with his arm before Kurt's foot would have hit the ground.

Yeah that was great. I sorta saw it most of the night but just thought it was "Mark Henry" and paid little attention. Then during the main event I saw the "?" part and laughed my ass off. I thought of taking a similar sign during JBL's title run like "Bradshaw....why?"

I assume this is going to lead to Mark Henry vs. Angle at the Rumble. I'm scared to death for Kurt here honestly, Henry is such an inept boob in the ring that he might injure Kurt the same way he did Batista.

The sad thing about this is that now they have to keep Henry around until Batista gets back. Once Big Dave gets back however you will see the mother of all squash burial jobs on Mark Henry...then bye bye.

It actually sounds like Batista's own clumsiness was at fault, not Henry's.

Can a muscle tear be anyone else's fault?

I guess if Henry's fat overpowered him while he was lifting him and Henry didn't help or something.

That Benoit-Orton match was pretty good.

Yes it was. The beginning was particulary enthralling. If it was a little better at a few points after that it could've been a legit classic.

I thought Benoit/Orton was decent as well, and a nice way to mix it up after their previous two matches. I thought story-wise it was a good build off their previous matches, and particularly smart for Benoit to try to keep it a mat-wrestling contest where he knows he has the advantage. Therefore, it made sense that Benoit was in control most of the match. I hate the overbooked finish, but whatever. I knew it wouldn't end clean, but that was still a shitty finish. I'm glad Booker's the US champ, as that title should be beneath Benoit. I'm kind of interested how they follow up with what Orton demands from Booker.

The Piper's Pit segment was re-fucking-tarded, but it does mark the end of an exceptionally stupid angle that went nowhere. So maybe it wasn't that bad.

I must be the only person in the world who didn't know the BR winner until the show. Although, when Angle came out, I knew it would be him. Decent BR, despite there being only 3 (4 if you count Henry) legit contenders. Angle completely carried Henry down the stretch, bumping around and utilizing some creative spots. Thank god Angle won. Am I the only one who thought Cole and Tazz looked like idiots declaring Henry the winner? I mean, they repeatedly mentioned Angle never went over the top, and despite laying right in front of them for 10 minutes, they completely forgot about him.

I thought the entire show last night was all kinds of good. The opening segment with Batista was well done, and was basically what I would percieve as a shoot of sorts. Its amazing how over Batista is as a babyface doing the a-typical babyface stuff (like slapping everyones hands after the segment for example) and yet Cena couldnt get even close to the kind of support doing what he did.

Orton-Benoit was a solid **** match, well put together and paced, really can't complain much at all other than maybe the Orlando run-in, which makes no sense unless he's going to start stalking Orton or something.

The Pipers Pit segment was, well, different. There is something about Boogeyman that, as much as I want to hate the guy, he's entertaining as hell. Seeing him eat a prostetic face growth was kind of bizzare and even pretty sick if you totally suspend disbelief (which is hard in this case, which is why I actually laughed my ass off about it) but at least that ridiculous gimmick is gone. This was probably the most creative way you could do it with incorporating the asburd shit with Boogeyman into this and the upcoming program with JBL, which I am also looking forward to for some really odd reason. I normally would hate shit like this, but this is a really rare exception. Kind of reminds me that its so out there, almost like a Troma movie, that its entertaining.

The battle royal wasnt too bad at all really. Last 10 minutes was really good with Rey/Henry/Angle stuff. Best stuff I've ever see from Henry in this match, so a proposed Angle/Henry match at the Rumble might be alright.

They didn't edit it to make it seem like he's still a heel?

They muted his reactions all night. The pop coming out and winning wasn't nearly what people who were there described, and at one point Tazz referenced a Lets Go Angle chant that wasn't there.

I thought that they were basically turning Angle face. Mark Henry is playing the heel in the feud right?

Why would they mute the crowd reaction if Angle's going to be playing a face or a face-leaning tweener for the next month anyway?

I don't know. Since they're not actually piping in heel heat and they are letting a moderate face reaction through, they may feel justified.
