I realise this probably doesn't wwarrant a thread...but maybe it does as I'm certainly not the one one who could have noticed it.

The bridge part of Soundgarden's Spoonman...What in God's name is he saying?

AZlyrics.com says "Thank you good night people"....but it doesnt even sound close. Anyone help me out?

am I the only one who formerly listened to Soundgarden and Rage Against The Machine that just plain can't get into Audioslave at all?

No.

I can't really get into them either. I wanted to like them so badly, but it just isn't happening. I bought their first cd, and enjoy Cochise and Like a Stone, but thats really it. Doesn't Remind Me is the only song off their newest album that doesn't make me want to stab a pencil through my ear.

"Cochise" and "Like a Stone" were good.

Rage > Soundgarden (barely)> Audioslave

Kim Thayil went to high school and had classes with my mom. Just thought you'd like to know.

Not to one up you, but the only famous person my mom ever met was Ballz Mahoney. He hit on her. I got free wrestling tickets out of it.

Pfft, hell no. Bret Hart has his fucking number.

Oh, and I hear Metallica's going to release a new album soon. Rumor has it that it's going to be the heaviest one yet with a lot of it sounding just like Justice did!

Man, have you heard anything about the new GNR?

So I heard this band the other night, I think they're called "Corn" or something...they kinda suck. My cousin had a demo tape of theirs from LA when he went on vacation there, and he saw them, and he told me I might like them.

Dear Lord, they'll never make it anywhere.

The thing that amused me about the album (which I thought was alright) was how the way the songs were laid out made it feel almost like it was 3 rage style songs followed by 3 soundgarden style songs...etc.

I'm actually pissed that when I saw them live in the summer they only played one soundgarden sound: Spoonman, as I never liked that song that much to begin with. I was so hoping for outshined or to just freak out to the great bass line in rusty cage.

I had the "pleasure" of listening to a Soundgarden greatest hits album tonight at a friend's house. Outside of "Rusty Cage" every song sounded...well, boring as hit. The drumming on most of their tracks is what puts me off about them, as it's just sorta...there.

The thing I always found about them, was that a few of their last two albums, just seemed to run together or die out at certain parts. Bad Motor Finger would be the only one I'd really listen to as it's better, and it's only 12 tracks long as opposed to the last two which are about 16 each. I will admit I haven't heard their earlier albums before BMF. Anyone tell me if they'd be worth getting?
