St. Gabe Posted February 3, 2006 Report Posted February 3, 2006 Save Wrestlemania, Could you do it? Nope.
2GOLD Posted February 3, 2006 Report Posted February 3, 2006 Edge is undefeated at WM? well I'll be... He is 4-0. (3 of the wins included a ladder), his lone solo victory was a quick victory of Booker T in a epic match over Shampoo. Whatever happened with that anyway? Did Edge get his shampoo ad? Did they reject him at the last minute for Gene Simmons? What about Booker, did he get mistaken for Whoopi Goldberg and get invited to Comic Relief 75? Too many unanswered Mania questions
Si82 Posted February 3, 2006 Report Posted February 3, 2006 Why would he want to work with Angle? Get his fucking win back? When Hogan was in WCW, he was always trying to get Yokozuna in so he could get his win back from losing the WWF title to him in 1993. Can Hogan never just let go?
Guest Mukawa Posted February 3, 2006 Report Posted February 3, 2006 Main Event Title for Title: WWE Champ John Cena vs World Heavyweight Champ Kurt Angle Come on you know you want the belts unified once and for all. Besides these two have already had a recent feud so it wouldn't be that hard to resurrect it. No offence, but I find this quite retarded since nobody once to see another garbage Angle/Cena match let alone Cena's lame ass participating in a title match thats way over his head. I think now is hardly the time to be thinking about a title unification. Rey/Angle WM main event, end of story. At least this will draw.
Promoter Posted February 3, 2006 Report Posted February 3, 2006 Why would he want to work with Angle? Get his fucking win back? When Hogan was in WCW, he was always trying to get Yokozuna in so he could get his win back from losing the WWF title to him in 1993. Hogan was also behind bringing Warrior in for the same reason. According to Eric Bischoff on Warrior's DVD that was a dirtsheet rumour and that smart fans are delusional to ever think Hogan would do such things.

Hey, a word of advice, if I may. If you don't mean to offend someone, try using a word other than "retarded" to describe their ideas. That said, Mukawa is right, Angle/Cena's been done and the matches were never that great. They were slow, more than anything. Cena doesn't have what it takes to mat wrestle with Angle, and Angle just isn't a brawler.

Hogan and Bischoff are buddies, ol Eric will do anything to shadow Hogan's ego.
gWIL Posted February 3, 2006 Report Posted February 3, 2006 World Heavyweight Championship Rey Mysterio vs Kurt Angle WWE Championship Triple H vs Ric Flair (Have HHH defeat Cena on Raw and Flair become the #1 Contender. Can't hurt to give Flair the belt one last time, he's their most over face on Raw at this point.) The Undertaker vs Chris Benoit Edge vs Shawn Michaels (Keep Vince out of the ring, he's 60. Have Mcmahon promise to reward Edge if he takes out Michaels. Would help Edge alot.) Hulk Hogan vs Randy Orton (Only if Hogan agrees to job. If not go with Orton vs The Ghost of Eddie Guerrero, I don't know.) Street Fight John Cena vs Jamal Emko w/ Eric Bishoff (Jamal returns and costs John Cena the title. Have Bishoff say Jamal is under contract to him and that he hired a thug to take out a thug. Have it be a bloody, stiff match. Cena can even go over but have it be where Cen has to do everything to beat Jamal.) Raw vs Smackdown: Money in the Bank 2: 8-Man Steel Cage (Or Ladder, whatever) Elimination Match Rob Van Dam vs Chavo Guerrero vs Kane vs Shelton Benjamin vs JBL vs Matt Hardy vs Hardcore Holly vs Mark Henry (Holly, is over so put him in as another face to make the teams even. Van Dam wins and challenges at ONS 2 as someone else said.) United States Championship Bobby Lashley vs Booker T (Keep it short put Lashley over) Chris Masters vs Big Show (Keep it short put Masters over) William Regal vs Fit Finlay (Just cause) Women's Championship Trish Stratus vs Mickie James Cruiserweight Championship Paul London vs Shane Helms I think that would be a fun show.

Hoff Posted February 3, 2006 Report Posted February 3, 2006 That's an interesting idea, but it seems so convoluted. It sounds like something off of Bischoff's RAW wheel. So, in that context, I suppose it could work. But it might be a lot for some fans to follow. Not to dispairage wrestling fans, but you know the type...the guy next to you at the house show wearing the camo Austin 3:16 hat, working on his fifth beer? Yeah. As for an elmination cage match, that's essentially what the Elimination Chamber is. It's doable. They've allowed pinfalls and submissions in the cage for awhile, now, although sometimes they get confused about their own rules. A ladder match would be tougher.
Hoff Posted February 3, 2006 Report Posted February 3, 2006 Also, to everyone suggesting Money in the Bank 2: http://forums.thesmartmarks.com/blog/hoff/...p?showentry=419 Just my thoughts on the issue.
Lil' Bitch Posted February 4, 2006 Report Posted February 4, 2006 Proposed / Rumored Wrestlemania 22 Card So Far WWE Championship Cena Vs. Helmsley World Heavyweight Title Angle Vs. Orton Hulk Hogan Vs. The Big Show Edge Vs. Mick Foley Shawn Michaels Vs. Vince McMahon The Undertaker Vs. Mark Henry My Few Changes: If they absolutely have to do Michaels Vs. McMahon, I'd rather see Shawn take on Shane, at least the match would be an improvement with the spotfest son compared to the immobile Chairman. Wrestlemania 22 WWE Championship HHH Vs. John Cena World Heavyweight Title Randy Orton Vs. Kurt Angle Hulk Hogan Vs. The Big Show Interpromotional Match HBK Vs. JBL The Undertaker Vs. Chris Benoit Edge Vs. Mick Foley US Championship Rey Mysterio Vs. Booker T for the US Championship Intercontinental Title RVD Vs. Shelton Benjamin Cruiserweight Open Sho Funaki Vs. Jamie Noble Vs. Steven Richards Vs. Simon Dean Vs. Nunzio Vs. Daivari Vs. Scotty 2 Hotty Vs. Gregory Helms Fatal Four Way for WWE Tag Team Championship The Mexicools Vs. The FBI Vs. Vs. Paul London & Brian Kendrick Vs. MNM Fatal Four Way for the World Tag Titles (To be shown on Heat) Carlito & Masters Vs. Snitsky & Tomko Vs. Val Venis & Eugene Vs. The Big Show & Kane and now this is the part where you post "Your card fucking sucks."
Black Lushus Posted February 4, 2006 Report Posted February 4, 2006 Deon, it's about the most realistic card anyone has posted here so far...it sucks, but not really your fault...at least you aren't assuming there's automatically going to be another MITB match. Not sure there should be a Cruiserweight Open, simply beause that always seems like the easy out when it comes to that belt...booking committee: "Ah just throw em all into one big match, that way we don't have to worry about building up actual contenders to that piece of shit belt"
gWIL Posted February 4, 2006 Report Posted February 4, 2006 how can you have an elimination ladder or cage match? I just meant an elimination Cage match, but that would be fairly similar to the Elimination Chamber. Hey, they could bring back the Triple Cage from WCW. That would be awesome on so many levels.
Hunter's Torn Quad Posted February 4, 2006 Report Posted February 4, 2006 how can you have an elimination ladder or cage match? Hey, they could bring back the Triple Cage from WCW. That would be awesome on so many levels. Only if by 'awesome' you mean awesome levels of sucking.
gWIL Posted February 4, 2006 Report Posted February 4, 2006 Have you seen Jarrett/DDP/Arquette (sp?) that match was easily ***1/2+ and Wargames 2000 was overbooked but was a hell of a lot of fun. Plus it's got a great look to it.
Hunter's Torn Quad Posted February 4, 2006 Report Posted February 4, 2006 Your such a cunt. It's a little early for a Valentine's Day gift, but thanks anyway. Have you seen Jarrett/DDP/Arquette (sp?) that match was easily ***1/2+ and Wargames 2000 was overbooked but was a hell of a lot of fun. Plus it's got a great look to it. Jarrett/DDP/Arquette gets overrated because it wasn't a mess. It wasn't bad, but ***1/2 is a big stretch. Wargames 2000 was a total clusterfuck of a mess. And have you seen the main even to Uncensored 96?

Plus it's got a great look to it. When I saw this, I was thinking you were rating the triple cage match from that silly "Ready to Rumble" movie, before I remembered that David Arquette actually competed as WCW Champion. God, talk about fucked up booking.

Wrestlefreak Posted February 4, 2006 Report Posted February 4, 2006 The thing is, as mediocre as wrestlemania 21 was(there were only 8 matches on the card and 4 were crap!), the WWE always manages to capture the "magic" of mania.
Hawk 34 Posted February 4, 2006 Report Posted February 4, 2006 The thing is, as mediocre as wrestlemania 21 was(there were only 8 matches on the card and 4 were crap!), the WWE always manages to capture the "magic" of mania. Except for WMXI and WMXIII which felt like IYH ppv's. If you look at the history of WM, very few shows have a solid card top to bottom so, by your statement WWE went .500 last year which is pretty good %. There's been some shows that had 12+ matches and only one or two delivered. If WM could match the success of WMXXI in terms of draw and even quality, I would be completely blown away. I really believe this will tank to WMXIX levels with the buyrate and sinks to WMXI levels with the quality.
Wrestlefreak Posted February 4, 2006 Report Posted February 4, 2006 Do you think its acceptable to have even one match thats crap on a PPV as important as Mania? I certainly don't.
Hawk 34 Posted February 4, 2006 Report Posted February 4, 2006 Do you think its acceptable to have even one match thats crap on a PPV as important as Mania? I certainly don't. If you can deliver the goods enough to justify enough bad matches? Yes. WMIII and WMX are widely praised and they are both two match shows with alot of crummy filler in between. With the exception of WMXIV, WMVIII and WMX7, you will be hard-pressed to find a Mania that didn't have a total clunker involved. The important thing is not letting the show have the opposite effect, all crap+one good/great match(WM2, 5, 6, 11, 12, 13, 18) or even worst, all crap (1, 4, 9).
Hawk 34 Posted February 4, 2006 Report Posted February 4, 2006 WM 4 wasn't bad, just looooooong You see the problem with WM4 was, there was no real "great" match. Although Savage/Dibiase finals was good, considering. Just as a whole, the show was flat, which was assisted by the long duration. Without the tournament concept, the show is forgotten.
Epic Reine Posted February 5, 2006 Report Posted February 5, 2006 If I had it my way... Triple Threat for the Heavyweight title: Angle vs Orton vs Mysterio WWE title: Cena vs HHH Taker vs Boogeyman (The build up will be who can outwierd the other) Hogan vs JBL (JBL can hype up his 10 month title reign and say he's a better champion than Hogan) Money In The Bank II: Benjamin vs Edge vs RVD vs Benoit vs Finlay vs Henry vs Daivari Women's title: Mickie James (heel) vs Trish Stratus U.S. Title: Booker vs Lashley Suicide Six Way For The Cruiserweight title: Helms vs Kash vs Noble vs Kendrick vs Crazy vs Psichosis Show/Kane vs MNM HBK vs Vince with Shane as special guest enforcer Carlito vs Masters *Ken Kennedy will be a guest commentator throughout the night, even commentating on the Raw side. *Batista will make a special appearance

Like the rest unless Orton win's main event.
Guest Dam(o)nYankees Posted February 5, 2006 Report Posted February 5, 2006 Serious question-Could a ladder even support Mark Henry?

WM 5 is better than WM 4. And what bad match is at WM 3?
