milliondollarchamp 0 Report post Posted February 8, 2006 The problem could be easily solved if they'd just make the belt co-branded or brought Melina and Jillian (both of whom can wrestle) over to RAW. Jillian Hall might be the only female wrestler in North America who can do a shooting star press, and she's only been in one match since she moved to Smackdown (And it was against Stacy Keibler) Jillian had a great match with Mickie James in OVW. Take Candice & Torrie out and just let them be managers. About Lita, I do feel she is a good wrestler and I wouldn't say she blows spots, she just has no finesse at all. She has put on good matches (especially when she won her 2nd women's title against Trish in December) Ashley I beleive she is getting better she just needs a litte more Time. Maria I wish they'd let Maria wrestle more after RAW she spends the rest of the week training in OVW, she's probably better than Ashley and Candace, but has to play the dumb, inexperienced one. So let Trish, Victioria, Mickie James, Melina, Lita, Ashley & Maria fight for the womens title and I think it would be a better divison Your Thoughts? Rob Anybody 0 Report post Posted February 8, 2006 More breast implants. Also, what would be the point of making the belt co-branded if you're moving the wrestling women over to RAW anyway? Really, I have no serious thoughts about the women's division, so that's all I have to say, but it'd be good to see one show for wrestling and one show for eye candy - with the appropriate women on either show. The Tino Standard 0 Report post Posted February 8, 2006 There are 8 million problems with the two shows right now, and the women's division is so far down the list, it isn't even on the radar. Hell, the Trish-Mickie-Ashley storyline has been one of the more consistently solid parts of Raw over the last two months. How about developing a tag division or remembering that the IC belt exists for more than once every few months?

I highly doubt that after building up Trish vs Mickie James for the last two months we're going to throw it all away and make Candice Michelle the champ at WrestleMania. That being said, I'll be thoroughly shocked if Candice Michelle isn't somehow heavily involved at the show, as her GoDaddy fame and upcoming Playboy spread should bring up some interest in her. nl5xsk1 0 Report post Posted February 8, 2006 There's nothing that can be done to make women's wrestling better. The WWE has created an environment where even the allegedly 'good' women's wrestlers are there to be TnA and TnA only. If they can do the occasional good move, fantastic, but as long as they're willing to dress provocatively and show near-nudity, that's good enough. I'd like it if they'd do a better job of keeping the women managers/valets out of the ring, but unless they rehired Jazz, Gail Kim, Ivory, Molly, et al, that ain't happening. TheInsane 0 Report post Posted February 8, 2006 WWE had a relatively good womens division a few years ago (compared to their own standard, Im not comparing to the far superior Joshi wrestling). They fired most of the women who could wrestle like Ivory, Jazz, gail Kim (yes I think she was good when she stopped the high flying and did all the submissions) and because of that Molly left. Then they basically had Victoria, Trish and Lita who were wrestlers and the rest just Divas. Its embarrasing watching Candice, Torrie, Stacy and Ashley in the ring. The one new girl who had potential got fired (Christy). I think WWE had a goal to create a believable womens division a couple of years ago but now I think they just want stupid eye-candy stuff. I mean they put Ashley in matches. Ashley vs Mickey James (who is a relatively good womens wrestler) at the Rumble will surely be one of the very worst matches of 2006. They just dont have any in-ring or acting or mic.scill standards. The women just have to have big boobs and a "pretty face" (allthough I personally hate the plastic look). razazteca 0 Report post Posted February 8, 2006 With the current talent in the WWE Women's division there are 3 relatively good workers surrounded by strippers, softcore porn and b-movie of the week actresses. Expectations should be low and no higher than lesbian angles, pillow fights, mud wrestling or matches where the point is to rip off clothes to win.
yankovic fan 0 Report post Posted February 8, 2006 What's Bull Nakano doing these days? Bring her in. Have her dominate for a little while. Then slowly start having the matches be less and less one sided against her until she looks beatable. I dunno, I just want to see that hair do again.

TheInsane 0 Report post Posted February 9, 2006 blood I remember a Survivor Series (2002?). Trish was booked against Victoria (who at the time played the crazy heel) in a streetfight. It would have made a great visual id Trish made a great blade job. Imagine her being beten to a pult by Victoria and her blonde hair red from all blood. It would have a Ric Flair like effect. I think it would have been cool.
AndrewTS 0 Report post Posted February 9, 2006 The division is really bad right now, but a couple black eyes stick out that I thought were far worse. - Gayda's debut. A total disaster in just about every way. She didn't get much better, either--seeing her screw up something as simple as a clothesline sell when she got back made me groan. - Stacy as She-Diesel. For about a 2-3 week period they had her throw on a pair of leather pants and pretend to actually be a competitive wrestler. A powerbomb would have done wonders, cuz she didn't even have that. Just slaps and foot chokes. - Torrie challenging for the women's title: Shortly after the split Molly was on both shows defending the title. The main competition SD offered was Torrie. So there were at least about 2 matches where Molly bumped her ass off for Torrie's lousy offense, which never got more thrilling than a body slam. Ashley's pretty lousy, but not much worse than Lita was when she'd be constantly blowing poor spots with little ability to cover it up. Mickie's had little one-on-one time, so can't say too much about her work jumps out at me, good or bad. Torrie's fine in her current role--getting her ass kicked, rarely talking, and no longer being the most overexposed and irritating female face since Sable. Just John 0 Report post Posted February 10, 2006 I have to say, I'm pretty impressed with Mickie James. She appears to have actual wrestling ability, and she carried Ashley to a positive star match at the Rumble, which says a lot. I firmly believe Ashley is the worst wrestler in the company. Anyway, she also has the SE thing working too, and I think she's the best female personality on Raw. Maria held that title until the writers stopped making her a ditz, and made her a female Eugene. Trish has been pretty stale since her face turn and is riding strictly on looks again. Outside of Mickie and Melina (who happens to be on the wrong show for this discussion), no divas have the total package working for them--Personality and passable in-ring skills. There's really not much to do with the women's division after Mickie beats Trish for the title.
