Kurt Angle Mark

And of course it had to get worse

Maybe, instead of having Orton go over Rey looking really strong, Orton could have gone over Taker at Armaggedon, not look like Booker's substitute bitch and maybe win a match against Mark Henry. Then Orton draws/DQ against Rey, giving us a triple threat with face/heel/tweener.

Just a thought, but i know i could never attain the genius of WWE writers or their amazing assistants.

Honestly, after two and a half years of a pretty serious push, if this is all the fans care about him, not much is going to change it.

I'm not feeling it.

What scares me is, I don't even think Angle/Orton will even manage to be decent. One can't work unless they insert massive shortcuts and the other is near paralyzed.

It's bad enough we will suffer through this completely idiotic booking but we will have to endure what could be the worst main event match in WM history. Yes, worse then Sid/Taker.

Here's the best scenario I came up with if they insist Orton main events WM.

Orton defeats Mysterio. With lots of cheating and possibly Booker T help (perhaps Booker apologizes to the Guerrero family before costing Rey the match, out of commitment to Orton). Orton beats on Rey after the match.

A bit later that night Orton is interviewed backstage and asked if he'd like to face Angle or Taker at Wrestlemania. Orton suggests he wants Taker to win so he can end his Wrestlemania win streak AND win the World Title at WM. He's also reminded of his Hell in a Cell loss to Taker, which scares him and raises some question as to who he wants to win. After the interview he crosses paths with Angle, who warns him not to interfere in the match, as he wants to win on his own.

Taker/Angle finish: ref is knocked out. Out comes Orton with a chair. Cole and Tazz speculate as to who he will hit. He decides to hit Angle, but Angle dives out of the way. Orton nails Taker with the chair, Orton gets an "oh shit" look on his face and climbs out of the ring. Angle slam. Angle wins. Post match sees an Orton-Angle staredown and brawl. Orton knocks out Angle with the RKO/chairshot. Out comes Rey, in better spirits. Rey gets on the mic and thanks Orton for softening Angle for him. Orton grabs the mic "What are you talking about? I'm going to beat Kurt Angle at Wrestlemania. I won your title shot."

"Oh yeah, you beat me tonight Randy. But when I said I was putting my title shot on the line....I LIEEEEDD!"

That week on Smackdown, a furious Angle (furious, because Orton tried to cost him the match, and from the post-match RKO) demands that he gets a match with Orton. Teddy Long settles with a Triple Threat match at Wrestlemania.

Thoughts?

The absolute last thing they need to do at this point is have Rey start using Eddie's catchphrases.

That lied part is kinda funny but it makes a PPV stip seem meaningless. This whole idea of Orton screwing UT over makes me want to see Orton/UT at WM, certainly not Angle/Orton.

Orton's intent would be to help Taker win the match. I do see what you mean though. So Taker would just have to be distracted by a more enticing opponent (too bad the options are few). Or Orton and Taker would have a match on Smackdown for a spot in the Triple Threat match at Mania (which Taker could lose due to interference from whoever he'll face at WM). The stipulation wouldn't be meaningless because Orton does get his spot in the main event eventually. Besides, the NWO stipulation being demeaned doesn't nearly matter as much as the Royal Rumble stipulation being demeaned.

As far as Rey using the catchphrase goes...hey, at least it shows Eddie in a positive light.

For those who are wondering, Meltzer just said on the LAW that as of two days ago, Orton is going to be put over Rey "very strong" at the PPV.

Ugh. Why couldn't they just put Orton over strong at the Rumble and spare us the torture and letdown of this Rey/Randy feud?

that would take the storyline into WCW circa 2000 mode

Yeah its going to be bad. But of course it wont be the real ME, likely placed middle of the card to save the big moment, HHH beating Cena, for the end of the show.

Anyway what seems like an obvious thought of having a fatal four way at least with Angle (champ) v. Orton (who would lose via screwjob to Rey at NWO) v. Rey (who of course won RR) v. Taker (who will get screwed over at NWO) isnt even being considered. Taker working the title match makes sense to play into Mania 13 AND the unbeaten streak could be also on the line here. Rey and Orton are obvious why they should be in the match, Rey because of the decent draw he's became and this Eddy stuff, and Orton because WWE brass wants him there.

I'll just be interested to see the crowd reaction when these booking plans are put into motion over the next two months. The crowd is going to be shitting all over the finish at No Way Out when Mysterio gets his ass handed to him terribly by Orton, on RAW the crowd will shit all over HHH burying RVD in the tournament final, and then WrestleMania will be the real test when potentially three heels will win all of the big matches. I just don't see how business is going to be turning out for the better with such bad booking.

Eh, seemed a half-decent brainstorm on the drive home from work. Of course, I was just trying to get around taking Rey out of the World Title match.

A quick question, and answer with just a yes or no:

Did they once again "cross the line" at the Smackdown tapings?

No, not this week. Randy does mention Eddie, but it's not in a particularly offensive way.

They don't even see the line anymore.

Are you saying they saw the line at one time?

Speaking of the Von Erichs when are the E going to sign David Von Erich so Orton can run down their family tree?

If the Eddie idea fails to get him heat. Followed by saying he pushed Owen out of the rafters because he hated the Blue Blazer.

And if that doesn't work, he'll become a gay Asian who loves Canada and wears a turbin in his support of Osama.

And then Randy will come out of the video of the night Owen died. And it will show Randy making Owen do the stunt at gunpoint while Vince is there trying to protect Owen and begging for Randy to spare Owens life and take his (Vince's) instead.

Then Randy will give an evil laugh and push Owen out of the rafters.

Is it a bad sign I could actually see Vince doing something like that? I mean, I know he wouldn't but I could see him organizing the angle. That scares me.

If Randy still isn't over after NWO? I could see it. Thats why I'm going to the supershow on the 27th. I plan on booing Randy even during Raw.
