Seriously, that seemed to be the big complaint. I didn't understand the backlash.

Well, it was originally a gag for HD, but I asked to be upgraded since I always noticed the little stuff moderators didn't do too often (like name changes) and it came at the height of Big Government TSM so it seemed like a good idea to let a guy get the blue title who went all over the board to do this.

 

Also, the step up from folder mod to global mod isn't all that large. You can do virtually everything you need or would want to do as a folder mod. Ill also came to the conclusion that I was qualified (by messageboard standards) and level-headed enough and had earned the right to at least get a swing. After all, this came after nikjohns was reviled so less rigid people were welcomed.

I almost miss CronoT. I mean, at least when I and others antagonized him, it would be fun, because he would get so pissed and just dig his own grave. And you know, maybe if I wasn't so opposed to his abundance of dumbshit behavior, we could've talked Final Fantasy or something. With everyone here that's terrible right now, they're just so ridiculously oblivious to it all that it's no fun because they're just rolling with the punches and boring me to death. Crono was awful, but he was such a pathetic sad sack that you couldn't help but like or at least have sympathy for the guy, even when you were picking on him or he would make a profoundly stupid comment. He was a lovable punching bag, the kind of personality every board needs and has been missing from here since he was banned, despite the repeated attempts to fill the void (wildpegasus, Matt Young), and his banning was quite short sighted in retrospect.

Indeed. At least Crono was funny. The entire HD forum has turned into Boardum. I now see the error in my ways of posting there. I feel so abused.
