Tonight it starts. About time too. I really got into this show the last 2 seasons and have gone back and rewatched it all. Can't wait to see what happens, but I am sure it will be cool.

So, who dies first?

In the last episode...Tony had just whacked his cousin Steve Buscemi (forget character name) due to pressure of the NY mafia. He had killed a NY member and they knew he was behind it. Tony at first resisted and said that he wouldn't kill his cousin, but he knew that he had to do it - so he did.

Tony went to go and visit the NY boss to tell him what happened and as they are talking the feds swarmed the place. They were there for the NY boss. Tony saw them coming first and fled by foot. He got away - but his SUV was still parked there.

Not sure how that would turn out in real life, but I'm pretty sure Tony is supposed to get away with this one scott-free.

And there's your buildup to this season.

Unfortunately - I don't have HBO anymore. :(

I remeber now. That feels like it aired two year ago. Oh, wait, it probably did.

The Toronto Star had a huge article on the return tonight complete w/ odds on who's getting whacked this season. Christopher was the leading candidate w/ 6-1. Janice and Bobby B had 11-1 and Paulie was 13-1. Oddly enough, Tony was the least likely with 75-1 odds.

I spent the last couple of months rewatching the first five seasons and I have to say I am pretty excited about this "extended" season...

I didnt like the long break, season 5 was kind of a let down but I think season six will be much better.

Cristopher is a suckers bet to be first killed. If he is killed, it will be far later on.

I think Ray Curto is going to get whacked this season. Someone is bound to find out about him sooner or later.

Other people I think will get whacked this season: Phil Leotardo, Paulie, and Vito Spatafore.

Buscemi's character's name was Tony Blundetto. The NY member who was killed was Billy Leotardo.

Tony S. killed Tony B. for a few other reasons. One, Phil Leotardo and Johnny Sack threatened to kill Christopher instead if they couldn't get to Tony B. Two, Phil said they would torture Tony B. before killing him. Tony S. didn't want Tony B. to suffer, so he killed him with a single shotgun blast to the head.

I thought Season 5 was disappointing too, but I rewatched it last week and I liked it better this time around.

Man, as much as I love LOST, I always forget about this being my other absolute favorite show on TV, but I'm glad it's finally back.

Refresh my memory, but wasn't Leotardo the one that's still tipping off the FBI about Tony? If he is, then I could see that. And I couldn't see Paulie possibly getting whacked. Only as payback for the NY family.

Also, I'd put my money on Christopher going nuts this season. Adriana's death happened far too late last season for us to see any real effect on what happens thus far afterwards.

This season should be good. I doubt Christopher get's whacked, as it wouldn't surprise me if he is the last man standing. I really doubt Tony gets whacked as well, as there is another 8 episode season (Chase says it's the FINAL one) set to air in 1/07.

I could see AJ getting whacked, or Carmela. But not til the end of the season.

Someone will die tonight. Probably not a main character.

No, Ray Curto is the guy who is still tipping off the FBI about Tony.

Phil will be NY's acting boss while Johnny Sac is incarcerated.

I don't think AJ, who isn't involved with Tony's job gets "whacked", but I will call that he commits suicide. They love to torture Tony's life and having his son off himself? that's BIG.

I agree. Although I could also see him get caught in the crossfire. Someone in his family will die.

I'm going to have to watch that intro again. Weird subliminal stuff.

edit: Ok, Eugene or his kid are dying, tonight.

At this point, I'd say that's a safe bet.

Yes, this episode is blatantly pointing to his death. He's not going to Florida.

edit: Maybe he's gonna kill himself.
