My cable cut out just after the Feds escorted Johnny away. What happened after that?

Johnny broke down crying and afterwards Tony, Phil and the rest of the guys were talking about never showing weakness. Phil went as far as to say that he'd lost respect for John and Christopher agreed with him which surprised Tony.

I think this episode was the beggining of Tony's paranoia regarding his spot as boss.

Oh, and once again Christopher comes up with the best line of the show re: Allegra and the cold medication.

So...did Vito kill himself? He's been outed, goes to a random motel, and is now suddenly missing.

Yeah, I thought he offed himself for sure.

Who was it that caught him at the bar? Maybe Vito, will hunt that person down...and how is that person supposed to explain seeing Vito in a gay club without outing himself in the process?

The guy was there making a pick up of some cash from the bartender and just happened to catch Vito. So he has a BUSINESS reason to be there. Unlike our pal Vito.

It's unrealistic for a hot-tempered guy to get paranoid and insecure and decide to flex his "muscle" to make a point?

I'm talking about the actual fighting part...

Seriously, Tony is an out of shaped, fat, and very weak from the gun shot, and he beats up a young, in shaped, muscle freak.

That's like Viscera being able to kick Kurt Angle's ass in a fight.

Tony beat that guys ass BECAUSE he had muscles. Plus the guy wasn't one of the boys. So he could wail away on him and not fear any repercussions. Now everybody knows once again that Tony isn't weak. It was cool being in Tony's head for a second while he scoped out who it was that was going to get the beatdown.

The guy was too intimidated to fight back in a room full of ruthless gangsters who would have shot him if he layed a hand on the recovering Tony.

You have to remember that Tony, is an experienced fighter. He'd have the natural ability to beat up a muscle man. Being built doesn't neccesarily make you a better fighter.

I actually thought that they were going to have it be a set-up, where Tony tossed him some extra loot to "lose" the fight with him. They still might go that way in one of the next episodes.

That was a poor episode. All that focus on Artie -- and, in the end, it didn't lead to a damn thing. So he cooked rabbit. Why the hell do I care?

And next week we're focusing an episode on the least likeable character on the show in AJ. The ONLY thing the Sopranos has going for it right now is the saga with Vito and they didn't even touch upon it this episode.

They did at the start of the show, where it made clear that NY isn't in favor of Tony's decision to not do anything with Vito. I agree that Artie, isn't the most exciting character to based a show around. I guess the point was to establish Benny more by showing him making a move against Tony's only friend he really has outside the group.

I also can't stand the Christopher goes Hollywood episodes as well, so putting both of them in the same didn't work for me. I'm starting to grow weary of the lack of Junior this year. Tonight's episode lacked Paulie and Vito and that's never good. One scene for Paulie? Fuck that.

I assume that we will get a episode where Tony has to try to remain faithful, since I think they hinted towards it during the bar scene with Tony and Artie.

We knew this last week when Phil made it clear to Vito's wife that he betrayed the sacrament of matrimony and needed to be punished.

There were no new developments with Vito this week. Not one.

So wait no one liked seeing Christopher take a pop at Lauren Bacall?

Fucking good episode. My brother and I were watching it and once we heard Christopher talk about heading out to Cali we both wondered "How long before he falls off the wagon?". For those counting it was his second scene after arriving there. The Kingsley/Bacall shit was hot.

Artie was the MVP of the episode, though. Cappin' rabbits, beatin' up mobsters and ripping off tablecloths with gusto. He is SO dead by the end of the season.
