Hawk 34 Posted March 13, 2006 Report Posted March 13, 2006 Well, that was an interesting end to the show. Tony getting shot, and then Carm trying to impress whats her name only for the girl to have something more impressive, leaving Carmella with that "oh" face. Awesome. They were great with forshadowing Tony getting shot with the constant "god forbid something happens" comments. Slow start but the last 10 minutes kicked ass.
BlackFlagg Posted March 13, 2006 Report Posted March 13, 2006 What a way to kick things off....How about Meadow's little dance at the opening  Whoa, no "Next week on the Sopranos"? Now that's how ya tease
Guest StylesMark Posted March 13, 2006 Report Posted March 13, 2006 I knew Eugene would off himself, as soon as he got into the FBI car. Look's like Tony's gonna need to rehabilitate for a while.

I was expecting him to die, wasn't expecting him to kill himself...when they showed the close up of that picture frame I was expecting to hear the sound of a silencer followed by the picture getting splattered with blood
DMann2003 Posted March 13, 2006 Report Posted March 13, 2006 Anyone sticking around to watch "Big Love"?
Guest StylesMark Posted March 13, 2006 Report Posted March 13, 2006 Anyone sticking around to watch "Big Love"? I'm TRYING.
Hawk 34 Posted March 13, 2006 Report Posted March 13, 2006 I want to like it but the concept isn't interesting and so far the characters aren't appealing.
BlackFlagg Posted March 13, 2006 Report Posted March 13, 2006 Also noticed Meadow's back to being Jamie Lynn Sigler in the credits, wonder if she's single again<hey a guy can dream >
Guest Askewniverse Posted March 13, 2006 Report Posted March 13, 2006 And another one bites the dust. I knew Eugene was going to die tonight by the amount of screen time he had. I didn't expect suicide, though. I wonder how Tony is going to handle what happened. Junior's days might be numbered. *fap fap fap* @ Meadow's sexy dance Blatantly stolen from another forum:

Jericholic82 Posted March 13, 2006 Author Report Posted March 13, 2006 Also noticed Meadow's back to being Jamie Lynn Sigler in the credits, wonder if she's single again<hey a guy can dream > yea shes dome with her hsusband. what a premiere huh? way to hook us right from the start. This was a great "re-establishment" episode for all the characters and what has happened in the past 2 years. I missed Family Guy for this, so you know it's good
Urban Warfare Posted March 13, 2006 Report Posted March 13, 2006 Awesome first episode after a two year layoff. Better than I was expecting, for sure. I'm not looking to far into the Junior shooting Tony angle because I read somewhere that David Chase said that Junior shot Tony because he thought Tony was an intruder but it was still very interesting, and a giant WTF. -I thought thin Vito was a funny twist. -Christopher is starting to get on my nerves -LOL @ long haired AJ. -Pretty suprised with Gene's sucide, I thought he would go to Florida and get killed there. -Ginny got WAY fatter.
BlackFlagg Posted March 13, 2006 Report Posted March 13, 2006 Who's the guy playing the other FBI agent in the car with Harris in the opening, I know the face but can't think of his name
Urban Warfare Posted March 13, 2006 Report Posted March 13, 2006 He is Sean Taylor, the serial killer that Dutch cracks in the first season of the Shield.

BlackFlagg Posted March 13, 2006 Report Posted March 13, 2006 He is Sean Taylor, the serial killer that Dutch cracks in the first season of the Shield. Ahhh, that's it, thanks....he looks a bit like Simon from Firefly as well, mostly the eyes and the chin

I'm not even sure that's a spoiler, because that was certainly the effect they were trying to create for the episode.

I think he thought Tony was someone from his past, the name he kept saying earlier, Malegne or something like that...probably someone he clipped when he was younger
Ravenbomb Posted March 13, 2006 Report Posted March 13, 2006 Who's the guy playing the other FBI agent in the car with Harris in the opening, I know the face but can't think of his name he was the guy with the mustache in the Dawn of the Dead remake
The Tino Standard Posted March 13, 2006 Report Posted March 13, 2006 They were great with forshadowing Tony getting shot with the constant "god forbid something happens" comments. See, I think they were foreshadowing Tony having a heart attack. He kept eating the Chinese food and that "something doesn't feel right" look on his face after he got done eating there by himself... He weighed himself repeatedly... His new insurance card arrived... He got REALLY bent out of shape and worked up when he went to see Bobby and Janice... Vito's health-conscious comments... And then BOOM, Junior comes walking in and blasts him. That's great writing when a show leads you in one direction, only to shock you by going in another direction, but still end up making perfect sense.

I think he thought Tony was someone from his past, the name he kept saying earlier, Malegne or something like that...probably someone he clipped when he was younger Junior thought Tony was Pussy Malenga. Right before he shot Tony, Junior said something like "take that, Malenga!" Malenga was mentioned in the very first episode of the series. Junior wanted to kill him at Vesuvio. Tony found out and asked Junior to do it somewhere else, because a murder at the restaurant would have killed Artie's business. When Junior refused, Tony had Silvio burn down Vesuvio. Tony figured it would be better for Artie to collect the insurance money and rebuild, rather than dealing with all of the shit that would come with Malenga getting whacked at the restaurant.
Lord of The Curry Posted March 13, 2006 Report Posted March 13, 2006 I got my Shield perps confused and actually yelled out "Cuddler Rapist Represent!" at the beggining of the episode. Wrong rapist. - Bobby with the conducters hat was gold - This episode made me remember how much I hate Janice - I was actually surprised that Gene offed himself, I was expecting a sub-plot to the season being his wife getting all Lady Macbeth in his ear talking about killing Tony - Wonder why they're bringing Pussy's wife back into the mix after this long? - Killer ending. Junior's almost completely lost it.
Cartman Posted March 13, 2006 Report Posted March 13, 2006 Lots of speculation that this may have actually been the ending of the season and the rest of the episodes will lead up to this point now. Kinda makes some sense with the way much has changed(Vito's weight, Tony's money issues seemingly gone, he and carm getting along SO well all the sudden, Eugene not having alot of backstory before this suicide, ect.) Not to mention there wasn't any preview for next week which is strange.
Spaceman Spiff Posted March 13, 2006 Report Posted March 13, 2006 DVDVR had spoilers up for the 1st 2 episodes, which would contradict that speculation.
Guest StylesMark Posted March 13, 2006 Report Posted March 13, 2006 I've heard that speculation too, but I just can't see it. Johnny Sac was looking at wedding shower photos, and I know Allegra Sac's wedding will be part of the season, as it was in the trailers and whatnot.
Hawk 34 Posted March 20, 2006 Report Posted March 20, 2006 That, was a strange start to the show. Paulie and Vito, fighting to take AJ home was great. Really, strange episode...and that hole in his stomach? eek. Vito, is owning this episode. AJ, is an even bigger tool then ever. Chris bumping Paulie with the stereo? awesome. What is wrong with AJ? I called it a week ago, he will off himself by the end of the season...and the possibility of him going after Junior and failing school? I have a strong feeling, the season will heavily involve AJ.
Guest Vitamin X Posted March 20, 2006 Report Posted March 20, 2006 Yeah this has a bit of that "Test Dream" episode feel to it.
DMann2003 Posted March 20, 2006 Report Posted March 20, 2006 A.J. shoot Junior? I'll believe it when I see it
