Just John Posted March 16, 2006 Report Posted March 16, 2006 Eh, an exciting last 2 seconds at least.
Hawk 34 Posted March 16, 2006 Report Posted March 16, 2006 Aww, man that was too close and a smart move too if they had pulled it off.
Open the Muggy Gate Posted March 16, 2006 Report Posted March 16, 2006 Wow, what a fucking ending. Wichita St. is licking their chops right now.
Damaramu Posted March 16, 2006 Report Posted March 16, 2006 Oh come on! That dude was like what? 6'7" or 6'8" and you can't turn around and put that in? It's the same as nobody should have an excuse for missing a wide open shot.
CanadianChris Posted March 16, 2006 Report Posted March 16, 2006 Oh come on! That dude was like what? 6'7" or 6'8" and you can't turn around and put that in? It's the same as nobody should have an excuse for missing a wide open shot. It wouldn't have counted. They would have waved it off when they realized the clock didn't start after the ball hit the Tennessee player.
naiwf Posted March 16, 2006 Report Posted March 16, 2006 I should know the answer to this, but I don't remember. . . . let's assume the inbounds pass had gone in, is that a turnover with UT getting the ball in the same spot as where Winthrop tried putting it in play, or does the basket count?
CanadianChris Posted March 16, 2006 Report Posted March 16, 2006 I can't remember what happens, but I know that the basket definitely doesn't count.
Hawk 34 Posted March 16, 2006 Report Posted March 16, 2006 After the big comeback, Marquette just gave up it seems. Marquette loss doesn't hurt me and neither will Nevada, really.
Guest Princess Leena Posted March 16, 2006 Report Posted March 16, 2006 I should know the answer to this, but I don't remember. . . . let's assume the inbounds pass had gone in, is that a turnover with UT getting the ball in the same spot as where Winthrop tried putting it in play, or does the basket count? Â Turnover, teams inbounds where you throw it in. At least when it happens by the sideline... might be different for basket inbound. Â This Nevada loss is really shocking me. But, probably helps me in the long run... since at least a few picked Nevada for the Sweet 16.
Hawk 34 Posted March 16, 2006 Report Posted March 16, 2006 Everytime Marquette gets close, Bama closes the door just a little more. Marq keeps getting the turnovers though. 4 pt game.
SilverPhoenix Posted March 16, 2006 Author Report Posted March 16, 2006 Well, there goes one of my Sweet 16. Â Oh well, I figured I have a casuality on the first day. Â Come on Marquette!!!
naiwf Posted March 16, 2006 Report Posted March 16, 2006 Marquette makes another run, but that douche jacked up a three he had no hope of making.
Hawk 34 Posted March 16, 2006 Report Posted March 16, 2006 Pretty solid first two blocks, I thought. No real upsets besides Montana over Nevada. A couple really close game and even a 20T game and this Marq/Bama game prolly goes down the wire.
Conspiracy_Victim Posted March 16, 2006 Report Posted March 16, 2006 C'mon Nevada give it up. You don't have Tracy McGrady on your team, and you're not playing the Spurs. It's over.
naiwf Posted March 16, 2006 Report Posted March 16, 2006 Fuck you Novak. The Big East is now 0-2 *grumbles*
Hawk 34 Posted March 16, 2006 Report Posted March 16, 2006 I can't believe after all those comebacks, that Marquette squashed themselfs in the final minute. Â 5-2 now. Bad day for the Big East. I predict they end up 4-4 in first round. Â I am only looking at my BIG money pool bracket and TSM's. I'll look at my other pools later tonight. Im sure I picked Bama in a couple of them.
CanadianChris Posted March 16, 2006 Report Posted March 16, 2006 5-2, but one of the 2 was pretty big.
iggymcfly Posted March 16, 2006 Report Posted March 16, 2006 Well, in most of my pools, I changed my Alabama pick to Marquette, and I bet on Marquette, so I certainly didn't want to see them lose, but I forgot to change my pick in the TSM pool, so I'm actually 7-0 there. Whoo me.
mike546 Posted March 16, 2006 Report Posted March 16, 2006 I was 6-1 so far in TSM pool. Although I took a gamble and have Georgetown in the Elite 8, so thats probably going to hurt me.
Guest Princess Leena Posted March 16, 2006 Report Posted March 16, 2006 Having a great day so far... in my big money pool, currently 2nd, 2nd, and 12th out of 213. Holla.
cabbageboy Posted March 16, 2006 Report Posted March 16, 2006 I have sucked so far. Only 4-3. The Nevada loss was puzzling to some extent but I only had them jobbing out to BC anyway. It's these fucking 7/10 games that kill me every year. I had Seton Hall for some truly moronic reason, mainly because they have at least beaten a few decent teams. They looked more like the team that UCONN and Duke killed rather than the team who beat Pitt and Cuse. Â Oh and the Bama/Quette game hurt a bit since I had Marquette. But I hate them anyway so fuck em. Is it just me or was that game WAY too good? 90-85 for those two? I figured it'd be more like 60-55.
Dangerous A Posted March 16, 2006 Report Posted March 16, 2006 I've only gotten Nevada and Seton Hall wrong so far.
Guest Smues Posted March 16, 2006 Report Posted March 16, 2006 Well boo for Montana winning because I hate Montana. But yay for it being a win for the Big Sky, and now we've had our obligatory 12 over a 5 and UW can go ahead and win tonight...
Guest Princess Leena Posted March 16, 2006 Report Posted March 16, 2006 Oh and the Bama/Quette game hurt a bit since I had Marquette. But I hate them anyway so fuck em. Is it just me or was that game WAY too good? 90-85 for those two? I figured it'd be more like 60-55. Â It really was. At least for Bama. Felix getting hot was extremely unexpected. And Marquette shot fairly well also. I figured it would be one of those ugly games where Alabama's bigger lineup would rebound and grind to a forgettable win.
Hawk 34 Posted March 16, 2006 Report Posted March 16, 2006 So, CGOTT( Current Game of the Tournament)? I liked Bama/Marquette (what I saw of it) the most.
jwpeer Posted March 16, 2006 Report Posted March 16, 2006 So, CGOTT( Current Game of the Tournament)? I liked Bama/Marquette (what I saw of it) the most. Â Â Winthrop vs. Tennessee or BC vs. Pacific.
Guest Princess Leena Posted March 16, 2006 Report Posted March 16, 2006 For quality... Bama/Marquette. Excitement... gotta be Winthrop/UT. Sloppy, helter skelter game that you honestly didn't know who'd win.
naiwf Posted March 16, 2006 Report Posted March 16, 2006 I'm sticking with BC/Pacific at this point. I think it had more drama and the lead changed a few times down the stretch. Marquette was trailing the whole time I was watching.
