AndrewTS Posted March 24, 2006 Report Posted March 24, 2006 At least the "Hey" song is memorable. He debuted that generic shit at the supershow and we had no idea who was coming out until we saw the titantron. I think the absolute last thing they need to do with Orton is start tinkering with his music. Hell, I don't think anyone in the middle of a big push needs their music drastically changed. It hurts the initial reaction when they come out. (Insert Orton heat joke here) But I am serious about that. Don't change someone's music in the middle of a title push. Its the main thing fans associate with the wrestler, besides the finisher. They did that with Cena last year, he had the popular intro of "Thugnomics" and two weeks before WM, he debuted "My Time is Now" which has the more dramatic opener and fans were still not used to it by Mania time. Batista's Evolution-era singles theme beats what they replaced it with.

Its the main thing fans associate with the wrestler, besides the finisher. That reminds of when Undertaker was a heel in early 2002 and kept getting cheered, especially when he made his entrance. For his match against Hogan at JD that year they gave him new music and took away his bike so he wouldn't get cheered, but it worked too well and he got absolutely no reaction at all when he came out and the crowd was silent until Hogan made his entrance. Undertaker didn’t even get pops for his big spots. And I liked Orton’s “Hey” music.
Guest The Showcase Posted March 24, 2006 Report Posted March 24, 2006 What was Randys new theme called? I'd like to hear it since I missed the only Smackdown it was used on.
Guest Dam(o)nYankees Posted March 24, 2006 Report Posted March 24, 2006 What was Randys new theme called? I'd like to hear it Run over a cat with a lawnmower
Art Sandusky Posted March 24, 2006 Report Posted March 24, 2006 So what is the best music anyone has right now? I mean, most of them are recognizable as a specific person, but none of them really stand out anymore, and none really have since 2000-2001 or so.

Benoit, Trish Stratus, Shawn Michaels and the Undertaker.
Spaceman Spiff Posted March 24, 2006 Report Posted March 24, 2006 Rob Conway's is goofy enough to be cool. Plus, he sings along with it when he comes out.
Krankor Posted March 24, 2006 Report Posted March 24, 2006 I swear to god I thought they turned on the radio the first time I heard it.
Guest The Showcase Posted March 24, 2006 Report Posted March 24, 2006 That still doesn't answer my question.

Art Sandusky Posted March 24, 2006 Report Posted March 24, 2006 It reminds me too goddamn much of the ECW theme. In fact, that was probably the template they used. Victoria's is cool, I think. What makes it so is that it's a slowed down heel version of her face music, which was already fun. EDIT: To continue on Mark Henry's music, when he came out on Saturday Night's Main Event, I thought Paul Heyman was coming out and freaked for a second, thinking it was some huge surprise they had for the show. That's how close it is to the ECW theme for me.

Benoit, Trish Stratus, Shawn Michaels and the Undertaker. Trish's music is terrible. Terrible, but recognizable based only on how long she's had it. HBK's music doesn't fit his current character AT ALL, and I used to like it but now it's pretty intolerable. I guess it's good for the long standing recognition... that applies to Taker too.

Edge, Batista, and the last song Eddie used are the themes that work for me as far as recent stuff goes.

CanadianChick Posted March 24, 2006 Report Posted March 24, 2006 Of all the things in wrestling, THAT made you embarrassed to be a fan?
Art Sandusky Posted March 24, 2006 Report Posted March 24, 2006 AS has some serious issues with virtually everything I like. We'd be mortal enemies if we knew each other in person.
The Czech Republic Posted March 24, 2006 Report Posted March 24, 2006 WHy is everyone so sure that's Anglesault?

Unless he were turn heel, it'd be weird for Shawn to come out to anything other than Sexy Boy if only because he's used it for so damn long. Even as a heel it'd be weird.

But I think after 14 years it's become a bit stale and, as has been stated, it does not fit his current character at all.
Black Lushus Posted March 24, 2006 Report Posted March 24, 2006 HBK should never change his music. I hope HHH never changes his music, "The Game" kicks ass...now only if Lemmy can remember the words whenever he performs it live...

Kane's music is also cool.
Black Lushus Posted March 24, 2006 Report Posted March 24, 2006 Booker T's is one of my favs...his theme is another one that should never change. Angle...never change RVD...never change

Guest Dam(o)nYankees Posted March 24, 2006 Report Posted March 24, 2006 Of all the things in wrestling, THAT made you embarrassed to be a fan? I had downloaded that Godforsaken CD and was listening to it with other people in the room, and no one thought anything of it (and this is an album with "Ooh Chavo") and all of a sudden, I'M NOT THE LADY TO MESS WITH WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO GO GO GO GO GO GO GO GO GET DOWN WITH YOUR BAD SELF GO GO GO GO GO I immediately had to hit mute and leave the room in shame.
nl5xsk1 Posted March 24, 2006 Report Posted March 24, 2006 The best women's theme ever (and the only one that I really liked) was when Kim Page went heel in WCW and they gave her a remixed version of "Bad Girls Go to Hell" by DJ Rap. More themes should be drum & bass songs by good artists, rather than generic Nu-Metal crap.
Black Lushus Posted March 24, 2006 Report Posted March 24, 2006 all of the Divas have shitty music...yes, even Trish. okay, except for Melina.

Guest Dam(o)nYankees Posted March 24, 2006 Report Posted March 24, 2006 Sidenote. Is Orton really that hard to spell?
