SilverPhoenix Posted April 2, 2006 Author Report Posted April 2, 2006 Chevy Award Winners Are: Coach of the Year: Jay Wright! (The Hofstra Fan in me is smiling) Player of the Year: Adam Morrison I have no complaints on these winners. Wright deserves at least one Coach of the Year Award for having a great year that fell just short in the end. And I know a few people are going to complain about Morrison, but there is still the Wooden Award, and I think he's going to get it.
SpikeFayeJettEdBebop Posted April 2, 2006 Report Posted April 2, 2006 I'm rootin for George Mason, and I'm really enjoying this game, however, I'm not really enterested at all in the LSU/UCLA game. I'd take LSU though.
Guest El Satanico Posted April 2, 2006 Report Posted April 2, 2006 GM is reeling, but Florida better curb stomp them before getting confidant.
Hawk 34 Posted April 2, 2006 Report Posted April 2, 2006 GMU seems to be falling apart now, Florida needs to go for the kill now. I don't think GMU will get something going now, because they look completely disjointed.
Slayer Posted April 2, 2006 Report Posted April 2, 2006 Who would win an ugly-off between Joakim Noah and Adam Morrison?
Guest El Satanico Posted April 2, 2006 Report Posted April 2, 2006 Morrison is goofy looking, but what's wrong with this Noah kid? He does look like a chick, but I don't see him as ugly Shelden Williams is the ugliest...Duke always get the ugly motherfuckers.
bobobrazil1984 Posted April 2, 2006 Report Posted April 2, 2006 even though GMU has made sort of a mini-run, their defense here is not impressive at all. they've gotten a few missed FT lucky.
2GOLD Posted April 2, 2006 Report Posted April 2, 2006 Mason trying their asses off to creep back into it but no defense and the Gators nailing the three ball are making it impossible.
Urban Warfare Posted April 2, 2006 Report Posted April 2, 2006 Humphrey was CLUTCH in this game. That string of 3 three's in a row was huge. Noah didn't have his best game, so hopefully he's saving a big one for Monday. Here's hoping for an all-SEC title game.
Slayer Posted April 2, 2006 Report Posted April 2, 2006 I loved how Redick and Morrison pretended to be excited in receiving their little POTY awards while watching the Final Four from somewhere that wasn't courtside
iggymcfly Posted April 2, 2006 Report Posted April 2, 2006 OK, I am PUMPED for this game. I don't want to say anything cocky to jinx LSU, but I really don't see how UCLA's going to score the ball against Big Baby and Tyrus Thomas.

Hawk 34 Posted April 2, 2006 Report Posted April 2, 2006 Word. UCLA is boring as fuck. Which means, this will be 98-95 at the end of the game.
therealworldschampion Posted April 2, 2006 Report Posted April 2, 2006 Off-topic, but there will be no more "Fire Herb Sendek" calls from the NC State fanbase, he's going to Arizona State: http://msn.foxsports.com/cbk/story/5464908
Kurt Angle Mark Posted April 2, 2006 Report Posted April 2, 2006 Not to get ahead of myself, but this is what happens when you base a team's ability on only two games. At the end of the Pac-10 season UCLA was holding teams down to below 60 while also blowing them out, their offense finally showed up in the tournament tonight.
therealworldschampion Posted April 2, 2006 Report Posted April 2, 2006 Iggy how much did you put on this game?
MarvinisaLunatic Posted April 2, 2006 Report Posted April 2, 2006 Well the two games today certainly wont ever be remembered as classics...
Just John Posted April 2, 2006 Report Posted April 2, 2006 Anyone wanna keep track of how many times Nantz and Packer use the words "long" and "length" during the championship game on Monday?
Slayer Posted April 2, 2006 Report Posted April 2, 2006 Since I don't have any more money at stake from brackets, I suppose I'll root for Florida on principle
Darthtiki Posted April 2, 2006 Report Posted April 2, 2006 Well looks like my pick to win it all is going to the dance, Go Bruins!
naiwf Posted April 2, 2006 Report Posted April 2, 2006 I'm pulling for UCLA because I'm sick of that fuckin' Noah kid. The last thing I need to see is his bushy hair sticking out of a Nat'l Champion hat and him talking about how no one believed in Florida but Florida. Go back to being your quasifamous father's son for a while asshole.
cabbageboy Posted April 2, 2006 Report Posted April 2, 2006 No. In no way can this UCLA shit actually produce a national title. There is something so inherently wrong and sickening about THIS UCLA team getting #12 with these unwatchable Pitt style games that are 50-45 and 59-45. I hope Gonzaga realizes the pain and misery they caused millions of people by tanking the last 3 mins. against this bunch. That said, I think Florida hopefully will take them out, and hopefully the game will approach watchability. Somehow I just can't see UCLA holding Florida to 45 points.
Guest Princess Leena Posted April 2, 2006 Report Posted April 2, 2006 Go back to being your quasifamous father's son for a while asshole. Yannick remains quite famous in Europe. Please don't diss my beloved tennis players.

One of the ugliest basketball playing teams I've ever seen vs. one of the ugliest basketball players I've ever seen
