Guest jaderock Report post Posted April 8, 2006 I'm sure most would agree the editted version of this confrontation/beatdown of Dalip Singh on The Undertaker looked pretty good...except that chop REMINDS me so much of the slow motion chop that Giant Baba did (which wasn't pretty!). Just a thought! Anyone wanna guess how long Singh lasts on the main rosters!?!

Scroby 0 Report post Posted April 8, 2006 I have never seen him in the ring, but I have heard from many sources that he is TERRIBLE and if you don't want to take my word for it. Go ask the parents of the kid who was training to become a wrestler that Singh injured so badly he died.
daileyxplanet 0 Report post Posted April 8, 2006 If he starts using the sword, I think he'll be around for awhile. He and Burchill could have a duel!

Go ask the parents of the kid who was training to become a wrestler that Singh injured so badly he died. I thought he looked kinda awkward just walking around the ring, almost like his legs couldn't support him properly. He can growl pretty good but I'm not holding my breath, especially after that chop
theintensifier 0 Report post Posted April 8, 2006 He has no place in, or near the wrestling ring. He is not a wrestler, he is a sports entertainer. There is a difference. He has ZERO wrestling ability. I hope, and pray for the actual wreslters he encounters in the ring, because their safety and well being are being tossed out the window, much like having a known child rapist watch your children. EDIT: This is one of those rare occurances where you will see me say I wish great bodily harm upon someone. But it's true, I hope something, none fatal, but still career ending happens to Dalip Singh.

But it's true, I hope something, none fatal, but still career ending happens to Dalip Singh. Dalip is very religious and adamant in his stance against ethnic violence. He is a true humanitarian. His goal in life is to support his family and aid the entire village that is his home. He hopes to benefit the welfare of disabled persons and children born into poverty. He is an active mentor to young people, encouraging them to stay away from drugs and urging them to find discipline, health and success by taking up sports. That's nice and everything, and I admire him for doing such, if it's legit. However, the fact of the matter is, he is not a wrestler, and he will injury someone severely. It'd seem like if he was trying to raise money, he'd be doing something else, not turning to professional wrestling.

All the guy's got is his freakish height. He's used it in movies, he's now using it in wrestling. How else could he make as much money?

Guest Euronymous Report post Posted April 8, 2006 They should bring back Giant Silva and team him up with Singh, like they did in New Japan. Chono brought them in as Club 7. I got a tag match of him in New Japan, but I don't know if it's allowed to upload it here?
haws bah gawd 0 Report post Posted April 8, 2006 Go ahead and give us a link. Let's see what the guy can do. I've only seen a few short clips of Dalip in the ring. I wasn't all that impressed with his ability but he does have ring presense, and that will take him far. One of the clips I saw was of him giving a japanese wrestler a chokeslam. This was a HORRIBLE-looking chokeslam too. We're talking Hogan vs Undertaker from Judgement Day 2002 levels of bad on this thing.

Guest Euronymous Report post Posted April 8, 2006 I've seen a match of him in Japan where he botched three or four consecutive Powerbombs (on the same guy). It was fun to see the otherwise respectful crowd boo him. I'm uploading the match right now: Goto & Singh VS Nishimura & Takemura.

haws bah gawd 0 Report post Posted April 8, 2006 Thanks for the upload Euronymous. Well, that wasn't the worst match I've ever seen, but it certainly sucked balls. Dalip no-sells to such a degree that Hogan would tell him to cut his opponent some slack. I will still maintain my previous statement that Dalip has a great ring presense, but thats about all he has going for him at the moment. He is gigantic in every sense of the word, but the in-ring ability just isn't there, or at least it wasn't in that clip. I did like the powerslam setup for the Diamond Cutter move that he did in the opening minute of the match, though it took him a good 20 seconds to set it up. In the end it was worth it to hear the japanese commentators yell out CHOKA SLAMMAAAAAAAAA and GIANTAAAAA BOMBAAAAAAAA~!

He does a Bodyslam early on and he just stands there to catch his breath. Later, he covers Nishimura even though the referee keeps telling him to pin the other guy. Eventually, Goto comes in to tell him he's pinning the wrong guy because he clearly doesn't get it.
