Mik 0 Report post Posted December 12, 2006 I actually really enjoyed the Ali Rap and Ali's Dozen shows. They were highly entertaining, if you can ignore the massive hype.
Guest Smues Report post Posted December 12, 2006 Berman "Meet the new ball, NOT the same as the old ball" Umm, actually yeah, since they're switching back to the old ball, it is the same.

hyperchord24 0 Report post Posted December 12, 2006 Is it just me or are the always trying to start a QB controversy? Garrard vs. Leftwich, Bledsoe vs. Romo, Green vs. Huard, and Grossman vs. Greise all this year alone. Not to mention in September when they were trying to stir up all that A-Rod vs. Joe Torre, Derek Jeter, Jason Giambi, and the other 22 Yankees. In their defense, part of their job is to make stories. No it isn't. It is their job to report the stories, not to stir shit up. Case in point, look at them trying to make a story out of Bobby Knight a couple of weeks ago. Yes, it is. The reporters are told to increase ratings, and this is how they do it.

The athletes are the ones that are suppose to make the stories not the reporters.

2GOLD 0 Report post Posted December 13, 2006 How many times in a week can ESPN press the panic button on a team? Dallas loses one game and suddenly it's, "WHAT IS WRONG WITH THE COWBOYS?!?!" I swear, Dr Smith is doing the reporting for ESPN with all the end of days talk on a team when they lose a game. "The Bears lost a game, they're doomed. DOOMED!" Then the next week they win and its, "IS THIS THE GREATEST TEAM IN THE HISTORY OF THE NFL?!?!" For god sake, stop it. Pick an opinion and stick with it for goodness sake. Wrong or not, stick with it. Rendclaw 0 Report post Posted December 13, 2006 You can forget about that for at least another year or two. Hockey got too big for its britches and got humbled to all hell and back when they ran face-first into the hard, cold reality that they will ALWAYS be the #4 sport in the United States at best. Yeah, I know... in Canada its a different story, but the majority of us ain't in Canada. Nuff said. Back to the topic du moment, I liked Ali Raps. They did the right thing in getting Chuck D to host it.

hyperchord24 0 Report post Posted December 13, 2006 One more reason . . . Erik Kusilias. I know he's a smart guy and we should all appreciate his opinions, but he sounds like an idiot to me. A few weeks ago I was listening to his radio show and he was talking about how he was in the PhD program at Columbia law school. He had to take a Friday off to take a French exam (2nd language proficiency is a requirement). He said he was embarassed. Then he went on this whole tirade about how "uncool" he was by driving a minivan, listening to French tapes on the way to work, etc. He said he just realized he wasn't cool anymore and begged his listeners to call him and tell him something he could do to make him cool again. Poor bastard. Having a midlife crisis and not even knowing it. How retarded are these radio personalities?

Probably because I only listen to 1-2 segments per day. 3 hours of Rome in one sitting would probably make me go nuts.
MillenniumMan831 0 Report post Posted December 13, 2006 And now ESPN is showing The Fumble . . . which is even sadder than The Drive from my perspective.

I never watch his show, ever.
