Nighthawk 0 Report post Posted July 28, 2008 I will gladly admit that I enjoy utter crap as far as comedy. I'll sneak in. Thanks for the warning, though.
King Kamala 0 Report post Posted July 28, 2008 I must admit I felt mildly hypocritical proclaiming my lack of interest in a comedy as dumb looking as Step Brothers while staring at my copies of Out Cold and Pootie Tang on DVD.
migoli 0 Report post Posted July 28, 2008 I got to go to a advance screening of Pineapple Express the other night. It was fantastic if you enjoy those Seth Rogan movies. I liked it better then Knocked up but not as good as Superbad.

godthedog 0 Report post Posted July 29, 2008 I actually haven't seen that one myself. Not sure why though. Maybe I'm subconsciously waiting in vain for the hype to die down. the way the 'dark knight' hype machine is going, you may not need to wait very long. Scroby 0 Report post Posted July 29, 2008 Speaking of remakes....I heard about this on Saturday and again earlier tonight so I decided to check into it and found this over at Variety.com MTV readies 'Rocky Horror' redux Network to remake 1975 cult classic MTV is doing the time warp on a remake of 1975 cult classic "The Rocky Horror Picture Show." Lou Adler, exec producer of the original film, is partnering with BermanBraun and Fox Television Studios on the new rendition. Two-hour remake will use the original screenplay by Jim Sharman and Richard O'Brien but may also include music not featured in the original. Helmer and casting decisions have yet to be announced. Fox is sin discussions with BSkyB and Sky Movies to co-finance and distribute the telepic abroad. Timetable for the start of production hasn't been established yet but the partners aim to move forward quickly once the final elements are in place. "I'd like to see it shown a year from this coming Halloween, but that's up to MTV," Adler said. BermanBraun principal Gail Berman will exec produce the project along with partner Lloyd Braun. Berman has been attached to a "Rocky Horror" remake dating back to her tenure as Fox programming chief (Daily Variety, July 1, 2002). The original "Rocky Horror," starring Tim Curry, Susan Sarandon, Barry Bostwick and Meatloaf, has grossed $140 million in domestic box office over the years, primarily from the wallets of youthful audience members who have shown up for midnight screenings over the past three decades. I honestly don't know what to say. On one hand I'm slighty intrested on the other hand I'm horrified.

King Kamala 0 Report post Posted July 29, 2008 I watched a bit of Anaconda 3 on the Sci-Fi Channel the other night. John Rhys-Davis played an eccentric billionaire who hired a team of mercenaries by David Hasslehoff to capture the anaconda after it escaped from a top secret lab. The CGI was weak, even by Sci Fi Network original standards. And hey, Anaconda 4 is coming in December!

Imagine Season 2 of Star Trek TNG, but on a video tape 10 years old. What other grade B 'B-movie' sequels are there out there?
foleyfanforever88 0 Report post Posted July 29, 2008 I was just watching Wheel of Fortune, and one guy attempted to solve three of the puzzles. He got ALL THREE wrong. WHAT AN IDIOT. In case anyone is wondering, he guessed: ELEVATOR TRAIN PLATFORM instead of ELEVATED TRAIN PLATFORM, DANGLING ON AIR JORDAN instead of DANCING ON AIR JORDAN, and BUTTERSCOTCH CANDIES instead of BUTTERSCOTCH COOKIES. God I hate stupid people that get on game shows.

God I hate stupid people that get on game shows. Um, no, those aren't OMG S0 STOOPID type mistakes. The first one is debatable; what if you've never lived in a city with an L? The second one; "dancing on Air Jordan" is a popular phrase? Never heard of it. And third one, I've eaten way more butterscotch candies than butterscotch cookies, the cookie variety isn't exactly common.
Nighthawk 0 Report post Posted July 30, 2008 "dancing on air jordan" is that before and after category they do, where they combine two phrases. "back in black motherfuckers with guns kill people" style.
RedJed 0 Report post Posted July 30, 2008 Not sure how many of us actually watch this, but they got Chris Angel Mindfreak back on now and just saw a show today that saw Angel somehow put a specific card (10 of spades I think, like it matters) inside the head of a guy that was hypnotized, and then proceeded to cut the guys bald skull open with a razor (blood flows) and graphically pull the card out from underneath his skin. Pretty sick shit here. Couldn't figure out how they did this one, and it seemed really fucked up, compared to the other stuff he does.

I want to see it simply because Casper Van Dien is bad ass as Johnny Rico...however I'm disappointed there is no Jake Busey in here...like I said at another forum, it's not like he has anything better going on. For the first one, the E at the end of elevated was already there, so he was trying to spell "elevater". The second one was retarded because he guessed a word with more letters than could fit in the puzzle. The third one was the least stupid, but it was still funny that he guessed wrong again and gave the girl next to him the game.

Geez- I wonder why the hell he wasn't in it. It's not like he hasn't been in crap direct to DVD sequels before. Did he really think that was a less worthy project than Road House 2 or The Hitcher II? BruteSquad_BRODY 0 Report post Posted July 30, 2008 Kimbo Slice to Co-Star with Hulk Hogan in Stereo Vision's Martial Arts Comedy "Kung Fu U" in 3D LOS ANGELES–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Stereo Vision Entertainment, Inc. (OTCBB: SVSN), a film production company focused exclusively on developing high quality, low cost, polarized 3D feature films, announced today that the undefeated Mixed Martial Arts phenomenon, Kimbo Slice, will be co-starring with Hulk Hogan in Stereo Vision's hilarious kids' comedy "Kung Fu U" in 3D. "Kung Fu U" in 3D is a Disney-type comedy about of a bunch of nerds and misfits that are sent away by their wealthy parents to the Brentwood Academy (a.k.a. Kung Fu U) to learn the finer arts of self-defense. It's a heart-warming romp where the rather weathered warriors come to the rescue for the kids, and in turn, the kids rescue the warriors' seemingly lost souls from what had been their eternal apathy. It's a feel-good story that reminds us that we're all the same, no matter what our age, or where we came from, and that we should all stick together. Stereo Vision's Chairman, "Baywatch" creator Doug Schwartz, stated, "We're very happy to have Kimbo Slice co-starring in ‘Kung Fu U.' He has an enormous media presence, and he'll fit right in with our star Hulk Hogan, and the other cast members in our made for kids 3D movie. We hope to have ‘Kung Fu U' in 3D in theatres by the fall of ‘09."

2GOLD 0 Report post Posted July 30, 2008 The good thing about MTV doing this remake is I can just pretend it doesn't exist and didn't happen. Like Friday the 13th redone by Michael Bay to have more comedy elements, I can just watch my 13 box set and pretend it's not happening.
