LoDuca bobbling that perfect strike from Endy just cost the Mets this game, as they now trail 6-2 Top 5 when he should have gotten out of the inning with the score tied at 2. A sweep is now likely since I have no confidence in Gonzalez or Soler.

Aaron Hill hit into a predictable DP with the bases loaded and one out. I think he's hitting about .145 since his fantastic start last season.

 

Jays are leading 2-1 after 6, but it should be more comfortable than that. They better not waste this start by Halladay, he's been terrific.

A-Rod's put the game out of reach with a 3-run homer in the 7th.

I do question why Torre took Wright out so soon. He only had 70-something pitches and was getting outs. I also question why Wake was left in too long when it was obvious that he was wavering.

Abreu just showed some severe vaginitis by not trying to catch a ball that could have just let the Mets back into the game. I'm not saying he had to be Aaron Rowand and try to headbutt the wall, but at least allow yourself to get within a few feet of it before pulling up.

Still, a 6-hitter over 8 2/3 is more than acceptable.

Rollins tagged him while he was on the bag, let go when he overslid, and Beltran got back in before Rollins reapplied the tag. There were only 4 camera shots that showed he was safe.
