Bored 0 Report post Posted May 29, 2006 Albert Pujols needs one more homerun to tie Johnny Callison for 214th all-time. Any word yet if the Callison family will be in attendance for this historic event? I'm going to the A's game against the Twins on Friday which I expect there will be 2000 people in attendance after they get swept by the Royals to end another miserable month of May. Ya I'm really down on them right now. Why the hell is ESPN not televising any games on Memorial Day? EVIL~! alkeiper 0 Report post Posted May 29, 2006 Odd that ESPN doesn't have Memorial Day games. Luckily, TBS is televising the Braves/Dodgers game at 1pm ET, so that's something nationally.
Hawk 34 0 Report post Posted May 29, 2006 Lucky for Chicago, they won't need to worry about pitching to Arroyo this series.

Guest Princess Leena Report post Posted May 29, 2006 ESPN2 has a marathon of PAINTBALL~! tomorrow afternoon. After tennis in the morning . ESPN is replaying some poker for the 1242343th time. Very weird they don't have baseball on... it's kinda of a tradition. And now there's nothing to watch tomorrow all day. No day NBA game anymore, either. Guest Report post Posted May 29, 2006 Seth Etherton is starting? PALMBALL! Dodgers (Sele) at Braves (Sosa) Sele's a nice story, I'd like him to continue to pitch well.
KingPK 0 Report post Posted May 29, 2006 Red Sox (Clement) at Blue Jays (Halladay) Well....two out of three is a possibility at least.
Bored 0 Report post Posted May 29, 2006 Aww crap, I just realized Friday's game will be Kirk Saarloos vs. Johan Santana. Oh ya that's an 8-0 loss right there.

Guest Smues Report post Posted May 29, 2006 No baseball on ESPN1 or 2 tomorrow and no PTI, yet they're showing poker, paintball, Bonds On Bonds, and Quite Frankly. Eat my ass ESPN.
Bruiser Chong 0 Report post Posted May 29, 2006 Man, I grew up on Memorial Day and Labor Day baseball marathons. Poker is not a god damn sport. Just because most of the participants work about a nice sweat picking up cards doesn't make it a sport.
CanadianChris 0 Report post Posted May 29, 2006 Red Sox (Clement) at Blue Jays (Halladay) Well....two out of three is a possibility at least. I see the Jays winning today's game 13-1 or something like that, then not being able to scratch out more than three runs for the rest of the series. That'd be typical. Who's starting for the Sox on Wednesday? I can't imagine Wells will make his scheduled start. If he does, OH BOY.
Hawk 34 0 Report post Posted May 29, 2006 So nationally the options are Braves/Dodgers and Reds/Cubs. I still don't get this schedule move from ESPN. At least air some classic baseball, but nope it's an all day boxing marathon. What says Memorial Day like boxing. Paintball/Poker is a joke.
Failed Bridge 0 Report post Posted May 29, 2006 Who's starting for the Sox on Wednesday? I can't imagine Wells will make his scheduled start. If he does, OH BOY. Wells said he wants to make his scheduled start. I think Clemens is suppose to give his answer at the end of this week. This should mark the end of his "rigorous three week training program". Well, someone should have told the Orioles Memorial Day is a stupid day for an off day..although the way they've been playing..they've been having a lot of off days.. bob_barron 0 Report post Posted May 29, 2006 Kinda figured the Braves would come out flat after yesterday's game... didn't think it'd be this bad
Bruiser Chong 0 Report post Posted May 29, 2006 Holy shit, Aaron Boone just tried to make a catch over by the cameras and wound up flipping over the railing and looked like he landed on his head. Looks like he'll be okay, but that was a three or four foot fall right on the head there.
Kismet 0 Report post Posted May 29, 2006 Tigers down 4-0 vs the Yankees. Bonderman pitching today and is unusually wild. His two seam fastball has been all over the place. They can't seem to touch Randy Johnson.

Well, someone should have told the Orioles Memorial Day is a stupid day for an off day..although the way they've been playing..they've been having a lot of off days.. During the Selig era it's become very common for not every team to be playing on the three major in season holidays (Memorial, 4th of July, Labor) which is just mind boggling as why miss out on a chance to draw larger than normal weekday crowds? Bruiser Chong 0 Report post Posted May 29, 2006 Brad Penny just flipped out. What happened? I like how Juan Pierre realizes he can't hit with RISP, so he bunts the first pitch and just moves over the runners to second and third and leaves it up to Womack to come through. He was probably bunting for a hit, but c'mon, take some pitches and poke the ball somewhere. And why do I have the impending feeling that if Womack keeps doing okay, the Cubs are going to deal Walker when Lee returns?
Guest Report post Posted May 29, 2006 He flipped at Little and Honeycutt in the dugout for pulling him, even though he was clearly out of gas. Ramon Martinez had 5 RBI's. RAMON MARTINEZ.
Bruiser Chong 0 Report post Posted May 29, 2006 I think Aramis Ramirez has tried to go yard six or seven times in the last game and a half.

Bruiser Chong 0 Report post Posted May 29, 2006 Although the Tigers eventually got three walks, they were impatient the first three innings. I think Johnson threw less than 30 pitches through the first three frames. Cubs got their weekly win and have scored more runs in the last two days than I think they scored the rest of May.
