What, you mean like in the back of a Volkwagon? Yeah it doesn't really work, but I don't get to make a Mallrats reference very often.
naiwf 0 Report post Posted June 22, 2006 The home plate ump at Shea is terrible as his strike zone is all over the place. A blown 3rd strike call on Beltran just allowed Wright to hit a game tying 2 run HR.
Conspiracy_Victim 0 Report post Posted June 22, 2006 To White Sox fans, I say: Would this make Ozzie a self-loather? Or just really closeted?
vivalaultra 0 Report post Posted June 22, 2006 I vote self-loather. Obviously, he hates himself and takes it out on Jay Mariotti. In non-joking/homophobic White Sox news, I just heard that Ozzie and David Riske are gettin' suspended for a couple games.
naiwf 0 Report post Posted June 22, 2006 Mr. Wright just hit his 2nd 2 run HR of the game. 6-2 Los Mets.
CanadianChris 0 Report post Posted June 22, 2006 Rob Neyer made a list of Clemens' 22 greatest moments. I love how he included such gems as, "Roger has shoulder surgery in '85", "Roger makes himself a pariah in Boston after signing with Toronto", and my personal favourite, "Roger dicks over the Blue Jays with a secret illegal clause in his contract." I hate that guy.
vivalaultra 0 Report post Posted June 22, 2006 Hmmm...my personal favorite Clemens' performance is the one this past season against the Marlins the day that his Mom died. That was a great moment. And he got more run support in that game than he had had all season.
mike546 0 Report post Posted June 22, 2006 Strummer: Over/Under on the number of times that Yankees/Rangers game plays on Yankees Classics over the winter? 79. Number one is tonight.
treble 0 Report post Posted June 22, 2006 Neyer didn't have Clemens first start back in Boston after signing with Toronto on his list. That game was awesome. And is it wrong that I'm a little overly excited that tonights Jays/Braves game is on TBS? I'm so sick of watching games on Sportsnet that it'll be nice to see the game from a different perspective. MikeJordan23 0 Report post Posted June 22, 2006 Albert Pujols is back tonight in the starting lineup.
vivalaultra 0 Report post Posted June 22, 2006 Hmmm...methinks they might be rushing Pujols back. Wasn't he supposed to be out for at least 6 weeks? Hopefully they don't rush him in there and cause him to get hurt even worse. That would be...good for the Astros.

EVIL~! alkeiper 0 Report post Posted June 22, 2006 That list is such an un-Neyer like project that I have to think his editors foisted it on him.
CanadianChris 0 Report post Posted June 22, 2006 That list is such an un-Neyer like project that I have to think his editors foisted it on him. I was thinking that myself as I read it. It's possibly the worst thing I've ever seen written by him. It looks like something that would normally get the "ESPN.com staff" byline.

treble 0 Report post Posted June 23, 2006 Burnett's looking pretty good so far (knock on wood). 4 Ks through the first 2 innings with only 1 hit. The Jays logo they use on TBS is fucked up, though. The area around the eye that's white is all blue on there.
vivalaultra 0 Report post Posted June 23, 2006 That's great. Clemens first batter back and he gets his first error of the season. Oh well, double play and strikeout cleaned up the inning. Go Rocket~!

Guest Report post Posted June 23, 2006 Anthony Reyes is throwing a no hitter through 5, if not for an error, a perfect game. Giving the heads up, don't believe in jinxes.

vivalaultra 0 Report post Posted June 23, 2006 All I have to say about the 'Stros game tonite is that if this is the worst that Clemens pitches all season, I'll be thrilled. He's pitching pretty well. It's obvious that he needs more stamina. And luckily, the 'Stros won't have to face Liriano in every one of his starts. Oy vey, is he good or what? The Man in Blak 0 Report post Posted June 23, 2006 Reyes finally makes a mistake over the middle of the plate and it gets destroyed by Jim Thome, who's got to be hitting something like .600/.800/1.000 against the Cardinals over his career. No-no gone, shutout gone, and the game is in jeopardy, as we head to the top of the eighth.
