I know, it's a purely lateral move. Maybe they want Henderson in long relief or something because he's left handed.

I would, since winning the World Series is the be all, end all.

October 28th, 1995 is still the greatest day of my life, and I'd love for that to be repeated again

October 26, 1996 is my favorite day as a sports fan to see the Yankees win the World Series for the first time in my lifetime. October 21, 1998 is a close second to see the greatest team of all time win the World Series.

Dodgers trade Jae Seo and Dioner Navarro to the Devil Rays for Mark Hendrickson and Toby Hall

This almost caused some heart attacks on a couple Brewers message boards with the headline "Dodgers trade for Hall and Hendrickson", implying that the Brewers had traded away Bill Hall and Ben Hendrickson. Hendrickson wouldn't be a big deal, but the Brewers probably can't give up Hall at this point.

Clemens is looking really good in his second start. The free-swingin' Tigers have helped him to only throw 34 pitches through 4 innings. He's allowed one hit. The 'Stros, however, have made a couple dumb baserunning mistakes and have not been able to score, however.

Aaron Hill (#2) hits his 2nd homer, a 2 run shot, with 2 outs in the 2nd inning.

Anyone else happen to listen to the radio broadcast? The announcers went on some kind of immitation tangent shortly afterwards that was absolutely hilarious.

No, I'm watching on TV. I'd listen to the radio over the TV guys, though, but there's no station close enough that plays them and the XM doesn't synch up with the video.

Why is Chris Woodward playing? And, if you must play him why put him in front of Milledge? Let Valentin hit until he can't anymore. Woody is the drizzling shits and always will be. I hate when Randolph concedes games by "resting" his starters against pitchers that are beatable.

What the fuck is Manny Acta thinking sending Reyes home on a grounder to shallow left when we're DOWN 5-2 with only one out in the inning and Delgado and Wright coming up with the bases loaded? Of course Reyes crashes into Varitek and may have dislocated a shoulder.

Most importantly, Acta was interviewed during the game and said he probably WOULDN'T do that. He should be fired tomorrow. Dickhead.

I'm pretty sure Alex Gonzalez has like 75% of his career hits against the Mets. Red Sox fans, you know why Gonazlalez isn't hitting?, he's not playing 19 games against the mets every year

I was 1 the last time the Os won a World Series, and 96/97 were the only two good years they've had that I've been alive and remember.

Oh, and for what its worth, the Tejada trade talk firing up again doesn't bother me any more. Trading him for a bunch of prospects will pretty much be the final straw for the few remaining die hard Os fans still left around here who care about the Os. Signing him was supposed to be the turn around that the Os franchise needed, but its been more of the same. Im surprised at how well the Benson trade has turned out, but they'll probably be looking to unload him too if they go into FIRE SALE mode like I heard rumored last week.

Granted, Tejada hasn't been doing anything over the last month plus, and now he's supposedly linked to Steroids again through Grimsley (third steroids link now I think).

Clemens got jobbed tonite. He went 6 1/3 innings giving up 3 hits. He threw 83 pitches. He only got taken out because CB fuckin' Bucknor blew a pitch right down the freakin' middle to Carlos Guillen and instead called it Ball 4 making Ausmus throwing out Ordonez running to second meaningless. Clemens was about two seconds away from murdering CB so Phil took him out and put in Wheeler and we proceeded to blow the game, giving up the two Clemens' runs and a third run on one hit and two errors. The bad news is that in Clemens' second start back, the team was back to 2005 form, getting shut out for only the 4th time this season. The good news is that Clemens looked brilliant tonite, so hopefully we can sort out the hitting in his starts. And one more observation: Joel Zumaya throws really, really, really fast.

Strike 3 and the Braves beat a team with a winning record. Huzzah. And Bobby Cox moves into a tie for 6th all time in wins.

Bob Barron = Braves good luck charm?

How 'bout dem Astros? Still can't buy a run when Rog pitches, and I LOVE it :)

Too bad he's not Latino. Then he could be on the Mets. Yeah, I got nothing...

Uh...we're just saving up our runs for our stretch run after the All-Star break. That's how we roll.

But they don't have... oh wait, they do have Lee. No Don Zimmer.

What a game tonight. Wore my hat and jersey and didn't get killed.

Got to see A-Rod fail with RISP and it was just a really fun game. Prob my favourite that I've been to.

Rubbing it in when it was over was the best part.
