vivalaultra 0 Report post Posted July 4, 2006 M.V.P. stands for Most Valuable (Big) Puma, as Lance Berkman has homered twice this game and driven in 4 runs to give him the NL lead. Hopefully we can hold on to this 5 run lead.
KingPK 0 Report post Posted July 4, 2006 Speaking of the Kazmir trade, he two hits the Sox while the Mets get stomped yet again 11-1 to the Pirates. Yeah, that was a good trade.
MarvinisaLunatic 0 Report post Posted July 4, 2006 Os won 8-1. The probably wont win another game in the series though although itd be nice for them to go on a run to close out the first half. Are there any prelim numbers on how the final vote is going for the AS Game or is it a big secret?
naiwf 0 Report post Posted July 4, 2006 Beat the Mets, Beat the Mets, step right up and Beat the Mets. Losing a Pedro start to injury, losing a game 11-1 to Pissburgh at home all after getting 1 win out of 6 against Boston and the Yanks is not good.
Guest Report post Posted July 4, 2006 Nice to see that pitchers still like to throw at hitters. Nomar gets hit in the elbow, on the helmet, and then gets thrown behind. Magical. Can't wait for the D-Backs to plummet down the standings.
Vampiro69 0 Report post Posted July 4, 2006 Well the Twins win again while the White Sox and the Tigers both lose.
Guest Felonies! Report post Posted July 4, 2006 Did somebody cast Vanish+X-Zone on Wade Miller or something? What are we paying this guy to actually DO?
UZI Suicide 0 Report post Posted July 4, 2006 Grady Little needs to grow a pair. The D-Backs were clearly trying to take out Nomar and Russ Martin and he did absolutely nothing about it.

Guest Felonies! Report post Posted July 4, 2006 Guy's been on the 60-day DL for over half the season now. When you need backup pitching because of injuries, you're not supposed to get more injured pitching. Sheeeeeeeeit. I don't get these guys.

When you need backup pitching because of injuries, you're not supposed to get more injured pitching. Sheeeeeeeeit. I don't get these guys. It's risk/reward. You either go after the Wade Millers, or pay 3 years/$18 million or so for proven averageness.

Bruiser Chong 0 Report post Posted July 4, 2006 Only the Cubs could give up two runs on a wild pitch. Prior really labored in the sixth, as he has his last two starts, but he got out of the inning. He'll probably drop to 0-4, but if that might not be the case if the offense ever backed him up. Eight more runners stranded today.
devo 0 Report post Posted July 4, 2006 Mets beat up on their former setup man Roberto Hernandez in the eighth, taking the lead and eventually winning the game 7-6.
EVIL~! alkeiper 0 Report post Posted July 4, 2006 The Adam Bernero era is over in Philly, as he was designated for assignment. Carlos Ruiz and Chris Roberson were called up. On my end, the exciting news is that Michael Bourn has been promoted to AAA Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.
Bruiser Chong 0 Report post Posted July 4, 2006 I can accept the Cubs being bad, but why can't they be bad by letting the youngins play? Angel Guzman hasn't pitched in two weeks, despite looking real nice in that game he replaced Glendon Rusch in during the second inning. Meanwhile, Glendon gets into a game (and increases the deficit) his game back from the DL. Stuff like this makes me more saddened to see Scott Williamson back off his comments he made last week about Dusty Boys.
vivalaultra 0 Report post Posted July 4, 2006 Good win for the 'Stros today, and it was Dollar Dog Day at MMP. I love Dollar Dog Day. If St. Louis keeps sucking and Atlanta cooperates, the Astros could conceivably be in first place going in to the All-Star Break. News from around the batting cages suggests that Roy Oswalt's gonna take someone's spot on the All-Star team, most likely Pedro, what with his hip and all. naiwf 0 Report post Posted July 4, 2006 Chacon is getting mugged, 7-1 Tribe Bottom 2. But that's not as bad as the ass whoopin' the ChiSox are putting on the O's, 13-0.
strummer 0 Report post Posted July 4, 2006 Ken Singleton was just bragging that Travis Hafner had never hit a HR against the Yankees. A couple of pitches later...Hafner hits an absolute bomb to left center. 7-1 Indians
naiwf 0 Report post Posted July 4, 2006 Ken Singleton was just bragging that Travis Hafner had never hit a HR against the Yankees. A couple of pitches later...Hafner hits an absolute bomb to left center. 7-1 Indians That was pretty awesome stuff. How can the Yankees keep throwing Chacon and Wright out there twice every five days when they basically know they'll only get at best 10 or 11 of the 18 innings from their starters in those games? Guest Felonies! Report post Posted July 5, 2006 Oh man, I'm on drugs right now. Watch him win 5 or 6 straight with the fire lit under his ass now. Then we'll NEVER get rid of Clines/Rothschild/Sarge/Dusty.
Bruiser Chong 0 Report post Posted July 5, 2006 Oh man, I'm on drugs right now. Watch him win 5 or 6 straight with the fire lit under his ass now. Then we'll NEVER get rid of Clines/Rothschild/Sarge/Dusty. That's what a lot of fans are predicting. The team has no hope for this season, but those who will be around for next year will tank the next week if they know what's good for them.
vivalaultra 0 Report post Posted July 5, 2006 I bet it'll never happen. It's an empty threat so the upper brass can appear to the fans like they actually care about the product. Of all the replacement candidates mentioned, I'd like to see Jimy Williams managing the Cubs. That would be great.
