Hawk 34 Posted July 19, 2006 Report Posted July 19, 2006 A Sabu match with no tables, chairs and minimal high flying? THIS IS EXTREME.
MarvinisaLunatic Posted July 19, 2006 Report Posted July 19, 2006 Sabu wins. And hes hardcore, he wrestles with a big nail in his boots.
Exslade ZX Posted July 19, 2006 Report Posted July 19, 2006 So chances are, within the next few weeks, if they keep going this route...(not using weapons) the crowd is going to outright boo Sabu. Seemed like they were going to there for a moment. edit- I actually like the reason he explained for not wrestling yet.
Guest Princess Leena Posted July 19, 2006 Report Posted July 19, 2006 Test overacts. The sky is blue. Sometimes the sky is pink. Does that make Test gay? Yes. Every wrestler I like is gay.
UseTheSledgehammerUh Posted July 19, 2006 Report Posted July 19, 2006 "Overrated..." "Overrated..." "regimented", nice one.
Slickster Posted July 19, 2006 Report Posted July 19, 2006 What the fuck is the point of this? To continue pushing Sabu as a guy who doesn't play by the rules and lives in his own world of chaos and insanity that refuses to just conform. Sabu been around 10+ years I think everybody already knows his gimmick. You overestimate the knowledge of WWE marks. Also, I guess Punk's character isn't sXe after all.
UseTheSledgehammerUh Posted July 19, 2006 Report Posted July 19, 2006 "A Sabu match with no tables, chairs and minimal high flying? THIS IS EXTREME." Hence - "What is the point of this?" Yeah watching Sabu work that was like a porn dude without a dick.
Hawk 34 Posted July 19, 2006 Report Posted July 19, 2006 I've been saying this for awhile but the idea to hold back on Punk's in ring debut is a smart move because they are doing a good job of making people wonder "Is this guy for real?". He explains himself well but I still don't like the scripted nature of these promos.
Boon Posted July 19, 2006 Report Posted July 19, 2006 Did somebody make the obligatory "extreme closeup" joke?
packwingfn Posted July 19, 2006 Report Posted July 19, 2006 What was the song that was playing during Punk's promo?
The Amazing Rando Posted July 19, 2006 Report Posted July 19, 2006 Did somebody make the obligatory "extreme closeup" joke?
Omar20003000 Posted July 19, 2006 Report Posted July 19, 2006 What was the song that was playing during Punk's promo? "This Fire Burns" Killswitch Engage
MarvinisaLunatic Posted July 19, 2006 Report Posted July 19, 2006 What was the song that was playing during Punk's promo? This Fire Burns off of Wreckless Intent..I think
Hawk 34 Posted July 19, 2006 Report Posted July 19, 2006 I doubt this is intentional but I've noticed Punk is moving in sequence of these promos. The first promo took place in the hallway by the dressing room...tonight's was in the Gorilla position. It's a subtle way of saying "Im getting closer..."

They have to be living in a trailer park with no internet, no cable, and only watch WWE to not know who Sabu is.
haws bah gawd Posted July 19, 2006 Report Posted July 19, 2006 "This Fire Burns" by Killswitch Engage. GREAT song, but it's one of WWE's most overused. Orton used it for one episode of Smackdown, then I believe it was the theme for Backlash, now it's Punk's theme.
UseTheSledgehammerUh Posted July 19, 2006 Report Posted July 19, 2006 Notes on Paul Heyman kissing Dreamer: Apparently a similar promo happened in July of 1987 between Paul E. Dangerously and Bruiser Brody. PauL E. kept putting him over and then Brody, totally out of character, kissed him on the mouth and ran away.
AndrewTS Posted July 19, 2006 Report Posted July 19, 2006 Slow burn to the inevitable Vampire vs. Zombie match.
Exslade ZX Posted July 19, 2006 Report Posted July 19, 2006 Holy crap... He sounds like Vera De Milo (I think that was her name, the Jim Carrey character on In Living Color)
BorneAgain Posted July 19, 2006 Report Posted July 19, 2006 What was the song that was playing during Punk's promo? Killswitch Engage's "This Fire Burns" I believe.
AndrewTS Posted July 19, 2006 Report Posted July 19, 2006 Slow burn to the inevitable Vampire vs. Zombie match.
UseTheSledgehammerUh Posted July 19, 2006 Report Posted July 19, 2006 It was the Judgment Day 06 theme. I totally dig ECW's two female whore characters.
Downhome Posted July 19, 2006 Report Posted July 19, 2006 Slow burn to the inevitable Vampire vs. Zombie match. You think Taker will stick around after tonight?
Slickster Posted July 19, 2006 Report Posted July 19, 2006 Good episode so far I think and I'm confident this ME won't disappoint.
The Amazing Rando Posted July 19, 2006 Report Posted July 19, 2006 It was the Judgment Day 06 theme. I totally dig ECW's two female whore characters. Paul Heyman is a male.
MarvinisaLunatic Posted July 19, 2006 Report Posted July 19, 2006 Well hey, 25 minutes for the ME. thats wonderful
Slickster Posted July 19, 2006 Report Posted July 19, 2006 Hey, the graphic actually did say "ECW World Champion," so they are keeping the "World Heavyweight" part of the name.
