This reminds me of when a friend told me about an interview he read with Ian Brown. Brown was saying that when the guitarist from the Stone Roses left, that Slash rang him up and he'd play with them. Brown wasn't impressed and just pictured Slash turning up with his pet snake.

I actually listened to that album, as I had to review it back in the early days of my college radio tenure. I remember nothing it about other than mediocrity.

I think my friend has that album (and probably likes it) but he's one of those people who's mad into guitar so he thinks the lead guitarist is the only important element to make or break a band. I doubt he'd buy Morrisey's solo stuff.
