NFL - Week One.

Well, that was unexpected. The one thing I didn't expect was for a Steeler receiver to get behind the Miami defence.

Did you expect the inverse? Troy Poloamaiu just made it happen. He JUST stayed in bounds, too.

Guest Felonies!

Cris Collinsworth just referred to how baseball has the "designated runner." This was payback for Jon Miller calling a run a touchdown.

Huh? Polomalu plays defence, and the Steelers receiver was out at the 2.

This performance makes it even more laughable that "experts" thought the Dolphins would be playing in the Super Bowl. It's like they forgot who Daunte was in pressure moments.

Even if they would have overturned the call, The Steelers most likely would have punched it in anyways. Also, Miller looked like he had the ball cross the plain of the goal line the same time his foot went out of bounds. It wasn't a lock the call would've been overturned. If anything, the TD call gave The 'Fins more time to make something happen if The Steelers would've got the ball on the 1 or 2. Doesn't matter now, as good old washed up Culpepper imploded.

Yeah, he'll fumble a couple times instead.

And what the hell was Saban waiting for with that challenge? If you think it needs to be reviewed, chuck the flag out there.

I don't think Culpepper will throw 2 INTs next week against the Bills.

Why not. The Bills defense isn't that bad. And Nate Clements always seems to have big games vs. the Fins.

Me neither. I'm thinking he'll throw 3.

And I'll go on record as saying it now: I don't care how much other people hate him. I <3 Joey Porter. (platonically)

Ugh.

Anyone wanna join me on the Wes Welker bandwagon?

That's one fast white boy. I was wondering if Miami would have moved the ball at all if he wasn't on the team last night.

Miami overall as a unit played horrible last night. No one on that team acted like they were ready for the regular season except Welker. Even the coaching staff was slow and indecisive. I think they'll be alright but giving up three touchdown passes to Charlie Batch cannot be a good thing.

I am utterly baffled at some of the experts who have picked the Dolphins to do anything. What is the evidence of this? That they had a 6 game win streak last year after they were far out of it and couldn't make the playoffs? Big deal, I remember some lousy Bengals teams that started about 2-8 and won their last 6 to finish 8-8.

It seems like a lot of people somehow forgot how truly horrible Dante Culpepper was last year minus Randy Moss. It was a blessing he got injured in all honesty, because he was going to get benched at the rate he was playing with the Vikings. When he got hurt Brad Johnson stepped in and the Vikings were 4x better, if for no other reason than Johnson was at least a steady journeyman who wasn't fucking up all the time.

After watching Culpepper in the 4th last night, I'm very uncomfortable having Ronnie Brown and Chris Chambers as my #1 RB and WR. Brown actually didn't do too badly last night (the two TDs saved me) but Chambers. Man, they didn't even look to him with any consistency until after Booker got KTF(temporarily)O. I'm starting to get worried.

Down here in Miami, there's a Wes Welker fan club that's started since last season, which is kinda funny that they were following him around and whatnot to any appearance he'd make. That was when he was handling all the kicking duties as well as playing receiver and return.

Also, you guys are jumping way too hard on Miami. At the beginning of the 4th quarter last night, they were up 14-10 at one of the toughest places to play in the NFL, against the defending Super Bowl champions. It's not like they just lost at home to the Saints or Bills or anything. This team still has the potential to go deep in the playoffs. Although, it does seem like their pass defense is going to be a tremendous weakness (maybe they shouldn't have let Surtain and that other guy go.. I mean, c'mon, WILL ALLEN?!) so they should try to do something about that, ASAP..

And Ronnie Brown should get some more carries. But, Pittsburgh is a traditionally tough run defense, so, you know.. again, what do you expect?

Daunte and the Dolphins should rebound in a big way in their next game. If they don't, then there might be trouble. But writing them off already is akin to what ESPN does (and y'all complain about!) in changing their minds immediately after a bad game.

Double Bubble is where its at.

"You see Al, if you have two bubbles, you have a double bubble...or you could just have one bubble...heck, you could have no bubbles, Al"

"I don't know what the fuck you're talking about, John, but I can say that I'm really starting to miss Dierdorf"
