Willy's made some good throws, but that was...Ichiro like. And I'd be willing to bet the Marlins get to the WS before 2011. I'd be surprised if they don't get to it in the next 3 years. To me, I'm amazed at any game that's a two-hitter or below. Anyone remember watching their first no-hitter? I thought about it today and after a bit of research on dates, it was Chris Bosio in April 1993. Strangely enough, I then got to see three more within the next year or so -- Dave Stieb in September of that year (finally), and Nolan Ryan's seventh against the Jays and Dennis Martinez's perfect game for the Expos against L.A. in 1991. From the three-quarters view of the baseline to the plate, it looks like a tie at worst, but that angle may also give the impression that Byrnes had more of a lead than he may have had in reality. Guest NYankees Report post Posted September 7, 2006 I watched Jim Abbot and Doc Gooden throw a no hitter. I was able to watch Wells in 1998 and Cone in 1999 throw a perfect game. The worst was watching Mussina get within a strike against the red sox on the Sunday before Labor Day in 2001. Since the trade, the switch-hitting catcher is hitting .328 with a .409 OBP and a .522 slugging percentage in 186 at bats. I think Doug Mirrabelli is hitting .188. From what I recollect, it was a pretty well-pitched game. My absolute favorite no-hitter of all time was the 6-pitcher no-hitter that Roy Oswalt, Pete Munro, Kirk Saarloos, Brad Lidge, Octavio Dotel, and Billy Wagner dealt to the Yankees June 11, 2000.
