Downhome 0 Report post Posted September 3, 2006 where the ring might as well not exist. Maybe I'll become an indies nerd. Am I just buying into bullshit, or did I not hear that Vince Russo actually wanted to eliminate the ring at one point in WCW? They did release that horrible wrestling game for the PS1 and N64 that didn't have a ring, (WCW Backstage Assault, 2000).
MarvinisaLunatic 0 Report post Posted September 3, 2006 Well if McMahon did eliminate the ring, RAW would be a soap opera about the McMahon Family and Smackdown would be a Telenovela (?) about the Guerrero Family. ECW would be a Sci Fi show...WRESTLERS IN SPACE!!! with the wrestlers fighting off space vampires and aliens.
Guest Kobe24KGold Report post Posted September 3, 2006 When Benoit comes back, he needs to change almost his entire repertoire in the ring. No more germans, no more flying headbutts. Keep the crossface, though. The German suplex has become the most repetitive, overdone, boring move in WWE. The flying headbutt has lost all credibility. When was the last time Benoit won a match with that move, again? Let's also not forget the health benefits Benoit would gain by forgoing those moves.

Downhome 0 Report post Posted September 3, 2006 From PWInsider, a guy reporting on the CM Punk/Shannon Moore match at the ECW show in Spartanburg, SC: CM Punk defeated Shannon Moore in 10 horrible minutes. After watching CM Punk on other Indy dvd's, I was shocked at how poor this match was. Shannon is bad, real bad. Some Punk chants, but the match stunk because of Shannon. The gimmick sucks too. MarvinisaLunatic 0 Report post Posted September 4, 2006 Palumbo could be given an Upchuck gimmick where he throws up in the middle of his matches. Cause thats what he makes me want to do sometimes.
Hawk 34 0 Report post Posted September 4, 2006 Please, Marv. Go gawk over some shitty HD related item. Everyone knows Palumbo is good, and it isn't a trendy thing like Snitsky. It's fairly clear that Palumbo is a great mid-card type who fits in with the current SD mid-card scene. He's really good in tag teams and since SD is approaching an actual tag division, if they can get the right player with Palumbo, that'd really boost the show and the tag division. So we stick Palumbo in a tag team..who's he teaming with? Lashley is above the tag division.. Tatanka? Vito? zzzz They should send Palumbo to ECW with all the other several years ago WWE retreads. benn 0 Report post Posted September 4, 2006 Matt Hardy looks to be shaping up for a singles push. If he's put into another tag team it should be a Hardy Boyz reunion anyway.
Golgo 13 0 Report post Posted September 4, 2006 Bring back O'Haire and reunite him with Palumbo for fucks sake. Each has some recognition to their name, they know each other well enough, and for various reasons, some not necessarily of their own, they stunk as singles but their flaws can be easily covered up in a team. As part of the revived SD tag division they would stand a chance.

The Tino Standard 0 Report post Posted September 4, 2006 Since it really doesn't deserve its own thread anymore, here are the matches for WWE Online 24/7 for September 2006: Survivor Series - Team Orton vs. Team Triple H October 19, 2004 | Approx. run time: 32 mins. Stone Cold Steve Austin returned to RAW in 2003 after nearly a one year absence and was instated as co-General Manager along with Eric Bischoff by Linda McMahon. The two constantly butted heads, with Stone Cold doing his best to irritate his GM counterpart. Left with no other options, Bischoff devised a Survivor Series Match pitting his team against Stone Cold’s with the loser out as General Manager. Note --- Despite the cockeyed date and description, this is still the Team Orton vs. Team HHH match from SurSer04. Yeah, the loser-out-as-GM thing happened in '03. The stip of the '04 match was that the members of the winning team would each get to run Raw for a week during Bischoff's vacation after SurSer.

k thx 0 Report post Posted September 4, 2006 Matt Hardy looks to be shaping up for a singles push. If he's put into another tag team it should be a Hardy Boyz reunion anyway. From Hardy's sudden SD push, I get the horrible feeling they're gonna have Hardy win a title or have a title shot, and have Hardy cost him it to set up a feud. Possibly at RR to set up a WM match. To be fair, it'd probably be a good move for both of them. Certainly better than their original break up.
