Danville_Wrestling 0 Report post Posted September 15, 2006 I am looking forward to the continued development of Cody Runnels, son of Dusty Rhodes, and Teddy and Mike DiBiase, son of the Million Dollar Man, as all three of these young men may have what it takes to break through and successfully follow in their talented father’s footsteps. Has anyone ever seen these kids work? I've seen Cody work in OVW and he's not that bad. He's still learning but he's a pretty good technical guy who puts on solid matches every week. Hawk 34 0 Report post Posted September 15, 2006 Kurt, is a fool. We knew this awhile ago but he continues to find new measures to prove it. In no circumstances should he even remotely consider any physically competitive task. Especially, something as physically taxing as MMA. Even if it’s against another relatively inexperienced MMA worker in Brock Lesnar. Obviously, it will be a big payday for Angle, especially against Lesnar since that’ll attract a circus like atmosphere, more so then people paying to see a slaughter with Angle against a more legitimate worker. I’d like to think no one in the MMA world as far as competitors would even consider touching this but money talks.

Guest BritishBruiser Report post Posted September 15, 2006 Because I doubt many people remember it. The other TLCs are on DVD, and the Flair one happened this year, so he can get away with it And the ironic thing is that it is the best TLC match ever by a good margin. Great drama and a super match. Banter 0 Report post Posted September 15, 2006 The ECW house show in Niagara Falls on Sunday was changed to a Smackdown/ECW show. I have really good tickets for this show, so I'm pretty excited about the change. I've never seen guys like Booker T, Rey Misterio and Batista live before. On the other hand, I was hoping to recapture some of the old ECW Buffalo show atmosphere, but that's okay. There are still really good tickets left (6 rows from the ring) for anyone in the area that is interested. I'll feel pretty lame if there are only a couple hundred other people there. Downhome 0 Report post Posted September 15, 2006 From the latest PWInsider audio: -DX vs. nWo is NOT going to happen. Everything you have seen having to do with that, posters and stuff, it's all fake. As of right now, there aren't any plans to do that at all, no matter what anyone is saying. They've talked to a number of people inside very close to creative, and unless it's under lock and key and they aren't telling anyone, not even a single member of the talent, then it's 100% not happening. -Danny Davis and Al Snow will be taking over for Greg Gagne. Greg was seen as nothing more than a third wheel. Steph hired him to just give him a shot, and they stuck him in OVW since they didn't have anywhere else to stick him. -Batista will be filming an episode of Smallville, playing a Kryptonian who has escaped from the "Phantom Zone". It will be the 9th episode of the season.

KingPK 0 Report post Posted September 15, 2006 I have been thinking is there any chance this whole Trish is retiring could be one big swerve I never seen anyone getting this kind of sendoff like her. She's getting it because WWE probably would like to sign her back in a few years. I doubt she'd want to come back (she's honestly done everything she can in the company), but anything can happen. Anyway, she SHOULD be getting a good sendoff considering all the stuff she willingly did. The whole angle leading up to X-7 with Vince where she allowed him to shove his tongue down her throat and force her to strip in the ring is a perfect example. Enigma 0 Report post Posted September 15, 2006 Vince McMahon had this to say about the old ECW at the recent shareholders conference: "ECW did not have much of a TV show. It was all about vignettes. Jericholic82 0 Report post Posted September 15, 2006 Why do they keep saying Edge has never lost a TLC match? Did the 4-way TLC on SmackDown in 2001 never take place all of a sudden? Everyone was still in shock over Triple H's nearly career ending injury that occured only three (one) days prior. maybe, anyhow I have been talking baout this for weeks now. but then again TNA can claim Joe is undefeated despite losing several 3 way matches vs Daniels and Styles yknow whats worse then wwe not wanting cena to go the the b show? JRS comment on RAW that cena is in a "must win" situation on sunday. Why? If he wins hes the champ, if he loses he goes to sd where he would be an instant top contender to the world title. Kurt Angle Mark 0 Report post Posted September 15, 2006 From Dave Meltzer "I don't know if this will come up on Raw or not (well, I mean, it won't on the show, but there may be media surrounding WWE doing the show or if Kane himself appears on the show), but there has been a ton of media publicity in Montreal because of a murder on Wednesday. Kimveer Gill, 25, came into a Montreal school and starting shooting everywhere. He killed one girl and wounded 20 before he was shot in the arm by police. He then shot himself in the head. It was front page news all over Canada. The wrestling connection is Gill was a big WWE fan, and he posted several photos of himself on the vampirefreaks.com web site, one of which shows him wearing a Kane mask. Apparently he had written his goal was to die in a hall of bullets. Another story noted that Gill and neighbor Mike Priest were huge wrestling fans who emulated the wrestlers they liked and noted Gill's favorite was Kane. (thanks to Frank Fonte, Andrew McMahon, Tyler McMurchy and Colin Sharpe)"

strummer 0 Report post Posted September 15, 2006 I was flipping the channels last night and came across Trish Stratus on ET Canada. She was at a photo shoot for a bridal magazine and she even wore the dress she's getting married in. Trish told co-host Rick Campanelli she is indeed marrying her high school sweetheart, Ron, and that they recently celebrated their 14th anniversary together (!). She said that it was Ron who wanted to keep their relationship a secret. In a voice-over Rick said Trish is getting married on Sept. 29th, but I though I read it was on the 30th. I never heard a date out of Trish's mouth so I can't way whether Rick got it right or not. Trish said that she and Ron will be honeymooning in Greece and then it's off to London. I was surprised at how candid Trish was in this interview. From a Trish/diva board

Often they were the highlight of the show 98-2001? Not so much. But those years Paul ran out of ideas and had everyone working 20 minute matches. He was obviously pandering to smarks with more emphasis on in ring work.

UseTheSledgehammerUh 0 Report post Posted September 15, 2006 "The wrestling connection is Gill was a big WWE fan" Reminds me... John Fiocco, Jr., a freshman college student at my school. The College of New Jersey, was killed at the school last semester, rumored to have being thrown down a garbage shoot into a dumpster, with his body found in a PA landfill weeks later. On his "Facebook/MySpace" website, John listed himself as a big wrestling fan. His profile picture was actually him doing the "Randy Orton pose" that Orton does with his arms/hands.
