Thanks for the Fish Posted January 22, 2007 Report Posted January 22, 2007 Anyone know what JTG of Cryme Time fame's real name is? Im trying to find him on EWR so I can update it. Jayson Paul is his myspace I believe. I don't know what the JTG would stand for though, I thought they might be his initials initially.

From what I've heard from someone on here, JTG stands for "Just That Good".
death_by_burrito Posted January 22, 2007 Report Posted January 22, 2007 Just too Gangsta sounds better.
DrVenkman PhD Posted January 22, 2007 Report Posted January 22, 2007 Well that's what it says on wikipedia (complete with "citation needed" note) so I take it as truth.
Twisted Intestine Posted January 22, 2007 Report Posted January 22, 2007 I posted this in the YouTube thread also, but here it is again. There are six parts: this is an intriguing look back into the dark days of wrestling. this is the entire phil donahue show from 1992 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3dKLAZvT3AU http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bIe8zEISFhA http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kShuHZpyJGA http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b02pCYbMgpM http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IDI2obMi3WA http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XT7wlcSiDmM It's truly amazing that Vince and The Superstar were ever able to get on the same page at all again. Two points: 1) I've never seen Meltzer before. I always pictured him alot more nerdy looking. 2) I've never seen that show before. The host is awesome! He just cuts people off like mad! Woman: "You say you saw those things happening to children.." Host: "but they didn't report it to authorities, yeah yeah, we got it."
Hunter's Torn Quad Posted January 22, 2007 Report Posted January 22, 2007 Bill DeMott's replacement in DSW is Tom Prichard.
RonL21 Posted January 23, 2007 Report Posted January 23, 2007 Bill DeMott's replacement in DSW is Tom Prichard. *does Heavenly Bodies sexy dance*.....Or was that the other guy with the 80s porn star look..I forgot his name...
Guest Totally Crazy Posted January 23, 2007 Report Posted January 23, 2007 I mean this in a strictly on air type of way. How much should they have, if at all, and what should they be allowed to do with it? Something like govern their own divisions?Become an enforcer if a ref is K.O'd; obviously not in their own match. I'd like to check out your thoughts on this.
Scroby Posted January 23, 2007 Report Posted January 23, 2007 No, odds are, the "authority" would go straight to their head.
Guest Totally Crazy Posted January 23, 2007 Report Posted January 23, 2007 No, odds are, the "authority" would go straight to their head. What if it's a champ with integrity? chances are Cena would play fair, unless he's in an 'angry' angle.

The Amazing Rando Posted January 23, 2007 Report Posted January 23, 2007 I mean this in a strictly on air type of way. How much should they have, if at all, and what should they be allowed to do with it? Something like govern their own divisions?Become an enforcer if a ref is K.O'd; obviously not in their own match. I'd like to check out your thoughts on this. Allowing a champ to govern over their own division, such as Cena over who battles for his championship, would completely destroy the Big Tough Face vs. Evil Heel Authority Figure Dynamic. That would definitely not be allowed. It also would stink and make some matches very predictable. Note: Yes, I know that most matches now are predictable, but this would be worse.
DrVenkman PhD Posted January 23, 2007 Report Posted January 23, 2007 I'm glad you and Scroby understood the question because I had no idea what was being asked. "They" was rather vague.
Scroby Posted January 23, 2007 Report Posted January 23, 2007 I'm glad you and Scroby understood the question because I had no idea what was being asked. "They" was rather vague. He ment should ANY champion have more control over their title reign since they are the champion...though to be honest I'm not sure if he ment behind the scenes wise or kayfabe wise. So I gave him the behind the scenes answer while Rando gave him the kayfabe answer....which is pretty much the same answer.
RedJed Posted January 23, 2007 Report Posted January 23, 2007 Some news on Mania stuff from the Observer.... Closest thing to a lock at this point is Taker/Batista, title v. streak, although still not definate (nothing for the card is set in stone at this point) Cena/Michaels was suggested, but won't be happening due to two possible face/face main events for the titles, although of course if HHH was still healthy, it would have been fine. Edge and Orton are two leading shots v. Cena, Orton of course preferred due to the fact they blewoff Edge/Cena pretty strongly, but a possibility of a Cena/Edge/Orton match is still being talked about. Options w/ Hogan are: Hogan v. Khali Hogan v. Umaga In either of those matches, its unclear if this would be with the Trump/Vince in corners or not (wasnt clarified in the issue) Possibility they are pushing hardest is the definate Trump/Vince angle tied into a Hogan v. Shane McMahon match w/ Khali also being "bodyguard" to the McMahon side, so Hogan can still get the big slam in on Khali w/out having to have an actual match with him. Show still hasnt committed to Mania, but just because Khali was the idea to replace him intially v. Hogan. ---- My personal feelings at least on the Trump/Vince angle is that they should NOT put Hogan in this slot at all because it gives the opportunity to give the rub to others, first and foremost. Second, there is nothing interesting in a Hogan/Shane match at all with all of this tie-ins either. Ideally, Carlito and another heel that could get a nice rub (this could even be a guy from SD like Kennedy or something or I hate to say this, but Khali himself even is acceptable) should be tied into the Trump/Vince angle. Or if they wanted to still go back to a previous idea, why not just do Foley v. Vince w/ Trump and the McMahon family in the corners? Hogan v. Khali, Show, or Umaga is just fine as a solo match from a business standpoint for Hogan. My suggestion would be to throw Edge v. Hogan out there personally though and go with the pushed Cena v. Orton match as well (just because that match hasnt been done hardly ever and its the only option of something being fresh). Edge, ideally, should have a strong slot in the card and throwing him into an Orton/Cena singles title match would just be adding him somewhere for filler. Batista/Taker is a lock just due to nothing else to go with for the SD side that is fresh unless you're going to hotshot a returning guy like Lesnar, Goldberg, etc against Batista.
Scroby Posted January 23, 2007 Report Posted January 23, 2007 I would rather see Edge vs Cena for the millonith time over Orton vs Cena.
MarvinisaLunatic Posted January 23, 2007 Report Posted January 23, 2007 I wouldnt mind seeing Orton/Cena. Edge/Cena has been done too many times. HBK/Cena wont happen cause its face/face..that really doesn't leave much else.
Craig Th Posted January 23, 2007 Report Posted January 23, 2007 Hogan shouldn't be in WM at all because he is 53 AND SUCKS. Flair can wrestle until he is 102 for all I care. As long as he brings the goods. But not Hogan.
fazzle Posted January 23, 2007 Report Posted January 23, 2007 So is anyone else paying attention to the Ultimate Royal Rumble on WWE.com? Basically it has a choice of 30 rumble participants, past and present, and the fans vote for who they want to be eliminated next. It seems to be updated every couple of hours with the next elimination. First 3 eliminated Vince McMahon Bushwhacker Luke Rick Martel 27 people remaining: Bret Hart HBK Andre the Giant Tito Santana British Bulldog Big Show Hulk Hogan Lex Luger Diesel Big John Studd Bob Backlund Greg Valentine Mr Perfect John Cena Steve Austin Brock Lesnar Chris Benoit Mick Foley Jim Duggan Undertaker Kane HHH The Rock Ric Flair Batista Rey Mysterio Yokozuna My next vote is going to be for eliminating the Hammer. I'll also be shocked if the final 4 is something other than Cena, HHH, Rock, Austin.
The Niggardly King Posted January 23, 2007 Report Posted January 23, 2007 Take out HHH and put in Hogan or Taker... and I would agree.
MillenniumMan831 Posted January 23, 2007 Report Posted January 23, 2007 I keep voting for HBK . . . unfortunately, The Model is gone.
DrVenkman PhD Posted January 23, 2007 Report Posted January 23, 2007 I was thinking last night that despite multiple complaints from the folks here about how stale Edge/Cena became in 2006, every match they had ended up being better than the last and it would truthfully be a good main event for Mania. I still want HBK in there, though.
Dobbs 3K Posted January 23, 2007 Report Posted January 23, 2007 I called HBK/Cena months ago, and it looks like that's going to happen at WM.
DrVenkman PhD Posted January 23, 2007 Report Posted January 23, 2007 http://www.wwe.com/shows/royalrumble/exclusives/rrecs "Don’t: Try to pin someone Dear Mr. Savage circa 1993, do you see a ref in the ring? Neither do we. Maybe that’s because the Royal Rumble Match is an OVER-THE-TOP-ROPE Battle Royal, silly. Next time you’re in the Royal Rumble you better study up on the rules, but don’t worry, it’s probably going to be a while."
Wyld Cannon Posted January 23, 2007 Report Posted January 23, 2007 Does anyone think HBK is actually a little bit happy that Hunter got injured, if only because he gets his WM main event spot? I mean, I would be.
RedJed Posted January 23, 2007 Report Posted January 23, 2007 I called HBK/Cena months ago, and it looks like that's going to happen at WM. It's already been declared to not happen at Mania via WON this week.
Hawk 34 Posted January 23, 2007 Report Posted January 23, 2007 Hogan/Umaga wouldn't be as bad of a choice. I liked the idea of Foley W/Trump Vs Shane W/Vince. Foley being a "mainstream" guy that Vince hates and even used the "You're Fired" act on him (which is one of the reasons this even exists) against Vince's son in a garbage match does more for the angle then Hogan/Khali. Khali can be Shane's bodyguard. I'm not encouraging using Shane or Foley but since they aren't going to bother putting over a younger talent like Carlito, might as well set up something that'll be entertaining enough. I don't like the idea of Cena Vs Rated RKO. Might as well make it a 4 Way with Shawn included. I'd still rather see Edge Vs Undertaker since there's more to work with on that side then Batista/Undertaker which becomes a corner booked match.
