I think Czech's winning with the swiss cheese one. Slayer's was just...weird. I don't know what that thing about Clemens "leaving a sore ass when he comes out" thing was about. Anyway, I see that the Cards have Jason Marquis lined up to pitch tomorrow instead of Reyes. And then with Jeff Weaver going with a short porch in left on Sunday, the Astros could very realistically sweep the St. Louis Cardinals. That would be neat.

Bored Posted September 23, 2006 Author Report Posted September 23, 2006 The A's didn't clinch tonight but it felt like they did. Obviously nothing will come close to that Dodgers/Padres game but this game had a little bit of everything: clutch homeruns, a gut wrenching ninth inning where the A's lost the lead, a classic Milton Bradley meltdown/ejection (baited by the umpire), and then the A's beating K-Rod in the 12th for the win. Just an incredible playoff atmosphere tonight, it felt like it was a one game lead for the A's instead of seven. Unfortunately I can't go to the weekend games but I can't see the Angels getting up for tommorrow's game.

Also: Joe Girardi's a jerk. Some friends and I will be attending tomorrow and Monday's games. We're contemplating bringing "PLEASE PITCH TO MY DADDY" signs.
